I gotta tell you about this iron I just bought okay.
First of all, ordered this Sunday. God bless Prime Shipping. It was originally $12, posted on sale for $9, Amazon gave me ANOTHER $2 off with some coupon.
Due to the drastic price decrease, I was skeptical. But, bc I'm a broke 20 year old I bought it bc #deals. Boy was I PLEASED. The iron itself is very nicely made. It's about the size of my hand, which was expected. It has a lil dial on it for heat settings and a 240/120 wattage dial you can change as well for on-the-go life.
Plugged it in, turned it on, and that boy was hot in SECONDS. Super fast. Nice, quick, and easy ironing.
Only downside is the spot where you put in the water leaks a bit if you move it too fast, but that happens with most irons so nbd.

I bought this to wax a snowboard. For the price and ease of use, I am satisfied. I have not tried this on clothing so I can not say anything about the value for that application. Use a little trial and error for the best temperature setting with whatever wax you are using. The temp settings are easy to adjust. The pointed corners are good for dripping wax across the board. the small shape of the iron fits comfortably in the palm of my hand and spreads the wax well.
Bought this iron to use on trip to France staying in hotels without irons in room or where I did not want to use laundry facility. Strange as it seems I iron every day - pants, lab coat kid's clothes which my wife finds funny as she never irons. I tend to be a perfectionist so like to iron my own stuff.
I have owned four travel irons over the years but this is the first that did not spit - not once - or leave wet spots on clothes that take forever to get out. In fact it performed as well as my full-size Rowenta iron. I did follow the instructions about filling with water but I don't know if this made the difference. I am truly impressed with this product.
When I needed to pack one day I found I could use cold water to cool the plate down if careful attention was paid anfd the handle part was not too hot to pack. I know this is probably not recommended but I have done it before
If i had a niggle, maybe half-a-star, it would be the "extra steam" function is a little awkward owing to the price of the iron I'd guess. The buttons work and deliver the extra steam useful for ironing cotton shirts etc but are a little stiff in use. Not too bad but just not great,
A dedicated bag would be nice too but it is not a deal breaker
super iron for a steam wrinkle touchup or a small wash load. every morning when traveling or even around the house i will touch up yesterday's shirt on the sleeves and front and sometimes the pleats in my pants or shorts. works great on cotton and blends; i use them on cargo shorts all the time and press thru both sides at the same time then flip and do the other side. it is off when the dial is turned all the way to low. best steam performance is when the container is about less than 2/3 full - it will leak from somewhere if filled much more than this. squeeze side buttons for a burst of steam. the unit really works well; it is light weight so press firmly and slowly with max heat on for stubborn wrinkles after coming out of a dryer. it has fallen off the table several times and nothing broken; its small hand-cup design has nothing sticking out to break; this little unit does the job. has 220 switch. it would be nice if it came with a little travel bag perhaps drawstring . . . which is what i am looking for. i use this on a towel set on any hard surface top like a dresser or table edge. be sure to unplug when finished and turn dial to its lowest level. when first plug in i turn it up about midway - red light comes on - then it prewarms itself for five minutes or so then i iron; it is not instant on.
I'm a beginner sewer (sewist? sewing hobbyist?) living in a small apartment, and also kind of OCD about details like perfectly even seams-- which really require pressing the fabric before you sew it. This very small iron (about the size of a grapefruit) is great for my projects and for touching up clothes. It stows away easily, and I use it with a folded up towel on a table (no space for an ironing board).
Pros:
* heats up very quickly (takes about 1 minute)
* gets very hot (burned myself already oops)
* steam function
* can turn off while plugged in: just turn the heat setting dial to minimum, and it is cool to touch
* tiny!
Cons (very minor):
* Will occasionally leak water if stored at a weird angle (no leaks while using or while the iron is stored upright or iron-down, only when I turn it handle-down)
* The heat setting dial can be a little hard to turn. Really not difficult, but just doesn't feel very premium.
Overall this is a perfect little iron for dirt cheap. It works just as well as a full-sized iron, glides smoothly over my fabric, heats up hot and fast, and is small enough you could travel with it. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Powerful little iron. I use it with a tiny board for seams while sewing. I keep it next to my sewing machine.
I bought this little iron to use for sewing purposes because I was tired of hogging the regular sized iron in our house. I received it in the mail today and immediately opened it. I was really excited to give this mini iron a try. The only gripe I have about this iron is the light. The light goes on when it warms up for your desired setting and then turns off. There is no light indication that the iron is still on. Otherwise, it's great! I tested the ironing capabilities by ironing an extremely wrinkled piece of heavyweight canvas that I had washed and didn't iron after. It's been crumpled in my fabric stash for months. This little iron and its steam function took care of those wrinkles. I was very impressed with how quickly it heated up. Putting water in the iron was very easy. The steam function works just like a regular sized iron. I would use this to iron my clothes too. I am extremely satisfied with my purchase.
I got this iron to take with me quilting and I like it for that. It heats up REALLY fast, so I don't have to leave it plugged in if I am chain piecing. I can plug it in, walk back and get my piece work and be ready to set seams in less than 30 sec. It has a plastic reservoir so you can see how much water is left, which is also a nice feature. I have starched and ironed lengths of fabric with it, but it is a bit small, light and maybe not QUITE hot enough for that. Better to use your "big iron" for that anyway. The one bad thing about it is that the "non-stick" coating on the sole plate is wearing off VERY quickly, although it has not stained any fabric and seems to work fine without the coating.
I mostly got this iron for blocking crochet projects to get rid of the curl that happens. Be warned on first use you may get some rust shooting out of the steamer. It mentions in the manual that they test these before they send them out so there could be water residue but there was no warning about the rust that shot out. I tested it a few times over a metal pan and this was the residue that came out (See picture). I’m glad I tested it because I needed to block a white mug cozy and it would’ve been ruined! Even with going until I saw no residue in the pan, my project still had some staining so be careful! You might just want to opt for a more expensive option.
This iron is just as effective and powerful as a full-sized one. I bought it for travel and can't wait to use it - it's nice and small and doesn't weigh too much. I did notice some leaking like others mentioned, but not enough to deter me from using it. And it also has a switch at the bottom to change voltage!! This will definitely be super convenient when traveling abroad.
