I'm an ironing addict -- once did 26 of my husband's shirts in one day! So I know my ironing board covers. This one is perfect. I bought a whiz-bang turbo super duper extra wide ironing board from Costco and then needed a slick cover (cotton drags on the fabric you're ironing, making way too much work). This company, Tivit, is a good match for me -- they watch the details carefully and are the best in customer service that I've ever encountered. The cover is perfect. You can bet I'll give any business I can to Tivit.
I hate ordering new covers as they are always cheap, crappy material no matter how much you pay, but this one is really a quality item. It has a nice thick pad without being lumpy. It's a nice dark gray color that looks rich. The wrinkles ironed right out and it fits my large ironing board snugly. It looks smooth, but if you look closely, there are tons of fine holes which allow heat and steam to escape. This is quality all the way. It has Velcro straps underneath that hold it snugly as well. I would rather have seen those done in snap fasteners but understand they wanted to fit many sizes. You can bet I'll be ordering this product again. It's made in Italy and imported...figures...US products aren't always the quality they say they are. Everything I've ever gotten that has been made in Italy is a quality product.
Seriously, this is the BEST ironing board cover ever! Living in Manhattan requires downsizing on things, or we would have a full size ironing board and would still want this cover. If you are like us and have a tabletop ironing board, but do not want to feel cheated on craftsmanship, you NEED one of these covers. Clothes come out amazing every time with no hassles or board marks on it. Liked it sooooo much, we bought a second one to give to our close friends that share our passion for perfectly ironed garments. Forget shopping around and just buy this one. Our tabletop board measures 12 x 29 and it still fits perfectly.
First of all, this cover fits my ironing board. It's been VERY difficult in the past few years to find one that fits well. This one does. I really like the way it can be fitted to my board and it stays put. The wrinkles that were in place when I first applied it, ironed out without difficulty. The padding is perfect and as I used my board, it was like ironing on glass, smooth and wrinkle free. I've only used it once as I just received it, but so far, it's been all it says it is, and that in itself is so important in today's world of false advertisements.
I have a very odd sized ironing board and this product fits beautifully. Along with an adjustable elastic cord, this cover also has three Velco-like strips that go under the ironing board to make a snug fit. I would also highly recommend this product as being well made. It may be costlier than other products but I believe it is well worth the price due to the quality and the variety of sizes available. I do a large amount of craft sewing and quilting so my ironing board gets alot of use. I think this product will hold up well.

Better than the original cover that came with my built-in ironing board. I was nervous it wasn't going to fit when I first started putting it on the board, but a bit of tugging and securing and it fits perfectly.
I purchased the smallest of these, 13"x 30", for my compact ironing board. My board was a bit longer and narrower and measured 31" x 12", but I stretched and took my time with it and finally...voila....it all averaged out and I got a good fit happening. The Velcro closures underneath help greatly and it is very snug and sound. Wonderful cushion of fabric layers with a firm aluminum coated surface....very conducive to smooth sailing! I just purchased a new rowenta focus iron together along with it and what a fabulous ironing experience. After bumbling along with an old run down sunbeam iron and a flimsy cotton cover for my tiny ironing board, this brought my ironing capabilities to a whole new standard. This Italian made product is very well engineered and hearty. Ironing may be a drag....but this was an uplifting and satisfying experience....my clothes came out nice and crisp very quickly. Highly recommended!
Small caveat - I've had the same ironing board for at least 10 years, and lately noticed the cover was not only looking a bit worse for the wear, but also my ironing was taking quite awhile despite having an excellent steam iron. I had actually planned to buy a new board and was combing reviews online when I saw a review of covers, pointing to all the features this one incorporates.
This cover is just fantastic. I don't know if my old cover was just sacked making it *seem* like this is a great product, but... this is a great product from my perspective. I am no longer planning to buy another board. I use much less steam and sped up my ironing by at least 1/3, both of which surprised me.
Additional note: I retained the pad for the old cover, installing this on top. I'm not sure if that makes any difference, but the results vastly exceeded my expectations.
First off, a Customer Service Rep from the TIVIT contacted me prior to shipping to ensure my address was correct, and to let me know when the item would ship (it arrived earlier than expected). I just installed the cover, and it is superb! I purchased the 15 x 54 cover, which fit like a glove. It was easy to install (from front to back as recommended by the seller); and, as with most Italian-made products, it is definitely a quality, well-made item. Ironing on it was a breeze and definitely wrinkle free! Grazie mille TIVIT!
Very sturdy, good quality fabric and workmanship. The 18" x 50" size (the label that came with the cover says 51") fits the shape and size of my big 2004 Costco board very well. There is no model information on the board, but I saved the label and it is Model # IB 4401. The bare top surface measures 47 1/2"x 17 3/4". The cover goes on easily compared to others I have had in decades of ironing. The two velco straps are well positioned so they do not interfere with the board's open/close mechanism, although with my diminished hand strength it works better when the board is raised to one notch short of full height. The medium grey of the heat- reflective fabric will work great to see what you are ironing.
