Ok so here’s the deal. It IS like sleeping on a cloud and it IS fluffy as crap. I love it. I was reading reviews where it was given 1-3 stars before I got it. Couldn’t figure out why some people said it wasn’t thick and fluffy, etc. YOU HAVE to WASH it you dirty butts! It is vacuum sealed so for “x” amount of time it is squished into this small bag, air tight. When I got it out, I was like, “ugghhh...it is flat....but I’ll wash and dry it and give it a try”. Sooooo after you wash and dry it, it gives it the fluffy shape back and you’re good to go. Word from the wise, WASH any new bedding you purchase!! Not only because you don’t know where it’s sat in a warehouse with dust and it may still have debris from where it was made in a factory, they do NOT wash it for you. If you buy directly from a dept store WASH!! Aaaaand even if it’s new and bought from a nice dept store or wherever, you run the risk of bedbugs these days. If you wash and DRY, the heat from the dryer will kill any bedbugs or their eggs. Wash your new bedding people. This gets 5 stars because it’s a good product, comfortable and I have nice cushion and support on my firm bed. Sleeping like a baby tonight.
Earlier this year I bought a TempurPedic mattress because they're supposed to be so great at relieving pressure points and, thus, related pain. I had slept on an inexpensive memory foam mattress for a number of years and as time (and age) went by I found I woke with hip pain. I didn't do much research on the right type of mattress to relieve hip pain. Instead, I went to a mattress store, explained my issues, and was steered to the TempurPedic. I bought it and it was okay. I think the hip pain may have improved a little. It wasn't until I came home from vacation when I slept in "regular" beds that I realized the TempurPedic wasn't working for me. I hadn't noticed on my vacation that my hips weren't hurting in the morning. The first morning after sleeping at home, the hip pain was back. Of course, this was well past their 90 trial period so I was stuck. I had read a (too late) that a plush top is best for hip pain. So I searched on Amazon and found this topper and the good reviews specifically about relieving hip pain. I've used it for about a week and as of this morning I can say I didn't wake with pain. I'm sure it will come and go, but any day without the pain is a better day. I would highly recommend trying this topper if you suffer hip or even lower back pain.
This items arrival was met with much anticipation I already have an ikea topper on my mattress but it’s a few years old and was never quite as soft as I had wanted. Upon opening my precious , and taking it out of the vacuum sealed plastic I was mesmerized by how much it grew ! Before my eyes it became triple in size. Now if only a custard ice cream could be as magical I may never worry about the demise of western civilization again ! Ever!
I placed this cloud on top of the ikea topper already on the bed cause you know, double wrapping is always a safe bet , especially in this age of disease

I haven’t left my bed in a week. I decided my life course now wil be to emulate Gilbert grapes mom and never move from this comfort enveloping my body like a python who decided he was full half way through and never fully swallowed you My only concern is not my family having to burn down my house to get me out upon my demise , but who will come by weekly with a rag on a stick to warsh me and pull my phone from my folds so I may order more food from DoorDash
My husband and I bought an extra firm mattress, as needed by me. The mattress was perfect for me, but my husband was miserable. Short of returning the mattress, we decided to try a mattress topper that would make him happy, but wouldn't affect the firmness I need. Got this a few days ago and am very impressed. I got a new mattress which is unreturnable being I got it on clearance and was having trouble getting used to it. I started regretting buying a pillow top as I was sinking into it too much-must be foam filled.I decided to try a topper and didn't want memory foam as I don't want to sink into my bed even more than I currently am and I didn't want one of those toppers filled with the bunched up, uncomfortable fiber like the one I had bought and returned to BB&B. This one is perfect. Very comfortable, stays in place and I don't have that sinking in feeling anymore. It's just comfy. Highly recommend.
I love this mattress topper! It is extremely comfortable, and the perfect size to meet my needs. I am a very physically active person often going to bed with sore muscles from overuse and achy joints from advanced arthritis. This mattress topper cushions my entire body in plushy comfort for a pain free night of sleep.
I had been testing two new king size mattresses and both needed more cushioning on the top. One mattress had memory foam on it’s top layer already so this topper was perfect at adding that extra amount of soft cushioning. I had tried a 3” gel memory foam topper first but putting memory foam on top of a memory foam bed created too much of a sink-in feeling.
The second mattress that I ended up keeping is a flippable all natural latex foam with wool encased zip-on mattress cover. I added this 2” down alternative topper and it creates just the ideal amount of cushioning.
I rent out this house part of the year and if a guest wants a firmer bed it would be very easy for them to just remove the topper and sleep directly on the latex mattress. This topper comes with a storage case so it’s easy and lightweight to fold up and store away if a guest didn’t want to use it.
In contrast, a memory foam topper is much heavier and would be harder to roll-up and store if a guest didn’t want to use it, so this is a much better alternative to memory foam topper for my situation as an AirBnB host.
I had a true 'featherbed' for the longest time... it was filled with feathers in the lower portion (i.e., the portion that makes direct contact with my mattress underneath it) and the top portion of the featherbed was gusseted, and contained DOWN only (so no danger of feathers poking me). I really loved my featherbed. It was like sleeping on a cloud, or on one huge down pillow.
However, over time I realized a few things about my (true) featherbed:
1) It's a total PITA to wash. Super bulky and super heavy. Very difficult to navigate to/from the laundromat, and even then you must use the MAXI size machine. Literally takes many hours to dry...first a few hours in the drying machine on Low Heat, then you must bring it home, lay it out on a clean floor, and shake/fluff it every half hour or so. Leave overnight, shake some more, and about 24 hours later it should be dry. As such, I typically only washed my featherbed once every 1-2 years. (Otherwise, I would at least wash the removeable featherbed cover, more frequently....)
2) I suspect that laying on top of it was not helping me stay cool in the summer months.
3) When it comes time to move apartments and pack up all my stuff, this (true) featherbed is just one more thing to add to my overall volume of stuff to move (super bulky...super heavy).
So.... after end years of laying on a true featherbed, and it being washed only a few times...and with my most recent attempt to wash it proving more difficult as I get older... well, I decided it was time to get rid of it (someone thankfully took it off my hands when I offered it up for free on Craigslist!), and try something else.
Thus far, this down alternative featherbed seems like a pretty good replacement for my former (true) featherbed, even if not quite as luxurious. I will say.... upon receiving this new featherbed, I took it to the laundromat first. It was a breeze to wash, a breeze to dry, and a breeze for me to carry up/down the stairs to my apartment.
i have had mine now for 1.5 years. I buy so much from amazon i usually don't have the time to leave a review. However, I felt I needed to share my great experience with topper. Ive owned real down before and prefer this topper any day of the week. Pros - its light, stays fluffy, doesnt get hot, doesnt slide off mattress and is the perfect balance of comfort and soft. Cons - I didnt buy 2 for my other bed.
