BLACK+DECKER HHVI315JO42 Dustbuster Cordless Lithium Hand Vacuum, Flexi Blue

BLACK+DECKER HHVI315JO42 Dustbuster Cordless Lithium Hand Vacuum, Flexi Blue

I've only had this product a few days, but so far it's great. It has good suction and comes with two attachments (a brush and a crevice tool). The wall mount is really convenient too (you do need a drill to install it). I have limited counter space in my house, so getting it off surfaces really helps declutter. I bought this to replace a different model of Black+Decker handheld vacuum that would only have full suction for a few seconds after charging (after only one year of use). After doing research, I found that the problem lie in the battery. I kept my vacuum continuously plugged in, but apparently that is bad for the battery and causes the problem I was having. So for this vacuum I only charge if 3-6 hours after use then I unplug it. This one charges quickly and I haven't had a problem. It is super easy to empty and clean and so far I have loved it. I have used it to pick up spills, dirt piles from sweeping, kitty litter around the litter box, and dust on the baseboards. The only thing I could wish for is a way to store the attachments on the wall too.

When I first unboxed the Black + Decker cordless lithium hand vacuum I was doubtful about the quality of the vac due to its light weight.
In the box, along with the hand held vac, were two attachments, a brush attachment for furniture and stairs and a crevice attachment for confined spaces, a charging cord, reusable bag filter, vacuum wall mount and packet with two amounting screws and two plastic wall anchors.
I switched the power switch to the “on” position to see how easy it was to switch the appliance from “off” to “on” and was surprised when the vacuum turned on because I hadn’t charged it yet.
I was also impressed to find noted on the wall anchor and screws packet (2 plastic wall anchors and 2 screws come in each packet) the size of drill bit that I would need to use to make the pilot holes when mounting the vacuum’s wall-mount bracket.
I charged the vacuum for about 20 mins before testing it out and was pleased to find that I was able to vacuum up all of the pieces of cat littler that were surrounding our cat’s box! I’ve had to drag our large floor vac out to deal with this in the past and am so happy I can now easily reach for the hand vac throughout the day! Removing the dust collection bowl from the vacuum unit was a snap, I only had to press a release button easily accessible on the top of the handle.
I was also pleased to see that once I have mounted the vac on its mounting wall bracket I can keep it plugged in so that’s it’s ready whenever I need it! Also, the charger automatically reduces power consumption when charging is complete.
I registered my vac, for the limited 2 year warranty, in a couple of minutes on the phone with a friendly customer service rep (also had the choice to register it online as).
All in all, for the money, this vac was a great buy.

This is the best model! I bought this and also the highly reviewed and more expensive BLACK + DECKER CHV1410L. The HHVI315JO42 wins! Honestly the suction side by side feels the some. Yes the CHV1410L has a longer and narrower build for small places but it is twice as heavy and the charger is a dock which takes up more space and prevents hanging on the wall. I find HHVI315JO42 model is narrow enough for my needs (plus it has a long narrow attachment) and the light weight makes it easier to use. It can stand straight up and sit on its butt while charging, or you can use the provided wall mount, as the charger is a small port in the handle. It's also much easier to remove the bag for cleaning. Wins in every category. Not sure why it's the cheapest as it's better looking and better functioning than other black and deckers. (I use it daily for kitty litter with the brush attachment and it's holding up well.)

Pros: Comes with wall mounted charger, powerful/works well, decent battery life
Cons: #1 You can't mount and go- you need to plug the dust buster in, and then hang it on the wall (or vice versa); #2 There is no light to indicate whether it is charging, done charging, etc...

We bought 5 of the Black and Decker handivacs for our adult children for Christmas gifts (and an additional one for our home)- every family has remarked how great this little machine works for their home; even their children (some as young as 2) will use it to clean up after themselves.
We highly recommend this time saving tool ( it’s so much better than a broom).
The sucking action is great to clean out window seals and sliding glass railings.
My husband has his own in the garage for clean ups and vacuuming the carpets in the cars between car washes.
Our teenage grandsons want one of their own for their bedrooms and cars (maybe next Christmas)!
We’re not expecting the battery charge to last for a long time between charges, that said, it lasts for our needs then is plugged in for the next time it’s needed.
From previous reviews with battery issues it’s obvious there is a defect in the handivac they recieved; we’ve had no issues with the 6 we’ve had.
Note: the Black and Decker dust buster we purchased for the garage is over 3 years old with no issues!
We have tried other brands and even other models and none have performed like these!

Ok, I kept that old original Dustbuster going for decades. Finally decided to move to newer battery technology. Big difference. This thing screams and lasts for tens of minutes not two or three minutes. Fairly easy to clean out and blow off with air compressor. Two negatives: We miss the auto-charging connection of just hanging it up. This one, you hang up and then plug in. Two steps, one handed. Second, please redesign the case. It is rounded and a pain to get it to sit still either on its haunches or on its stomach. The old DB was square-ish and never rolled at all. Just set it down and it behaved. New one cleans well and its filter stops most stuff. Be aware that sucking up sheetrock powder-type dust will clog the filter quickly because it is working well. Thank you air compressor! So far, after several months, we're happy clams with our new sucker. We use it around the house and garage all the time. We still use the shop vac to suck the nap off of the car mats. UPDATE for those that care: Been using it for a year now. Same bads about it being rolly-polly. But this thing does SUCK! And, the battery life between charges is great. Can do light carpeting on a whole big SUV and still have enough left to touch up the garage-to-house rug that I was supposed to be doing...anyway.... I actually replaced the little filter in it because the thing does SUCK! (Yes, I'm having fun....) Anyway, I use the air compressor to back blow the little filter every time I empty it so your filter may last longer. We use our machine at least once a week. VERY few products perform the way I expect them to nowadays but this one actually works really well.

This thing saves me a little sanity on the regular with two little terrorists on the rise. Sometimes emptying it is a little awkward with the filter but the flip side of this is after I got to vacuum up baking soda my kid knocked out of the pantry. This little vacuum didn't spit out powder smoke like I've seen some other vacuums do. I'll keep the awkward filter.

This is a great little vacuum! We have a wood-burning fireplace in our living room which results in little pieces of the firewood, ash, and dust all over the hearth extension. This vacuum works perfect for that and nothing ever falls out when the vacuum is turned off. I also use this vacuum on our stairs. We have hardwood floors and it seemed like I was always having to lug out our big electric vacuum. I just couldn’t keep up with it. I have to say these little chores are a non-issue with this vacuum. I am a very satisfied customer. I liked it so much that I bought a second one and gifted it to my grandparents because it works so well, is very light, and emptying is a breeze. Highly recommended.

I was worried after reading some critical reviews but this looked the best of several brands as far as easy of use, suction, and durablity. I was pleased after it arrived. It has very good suction is fairly lightweight and seems to maintain a charge, I don't run it long so don't know how long it will run on one charge. No harder to clean than any other dustbuster I've had. I like that it is clear and can see how much is in it. It has a removable filter that can be washed and let dry if gets too dirty.

It is the second one that I bought. I am trying to stop my husband from buying the third one. He wants it in every room now. I put the first one on the wall in a hallway and the second one in the kitchen. It makes my life much easier because I have three dogs. Now I do not need to run after big vacuum cleaner every time they chew something or make a mess.
