The PurSteam steamer arrived today. I put it together and used it this evening on several items. It worked like a charm. Many wrinkles fell out of garments because of the steam from the PurSteam steamer. The unit generated steam that was plentiful and the steamer was easy to operate. I enjoyed using my new toy profitably. If someone is looking for a good steamer, from my limited experience with this model, I think it would be worth trying. But, after offering that due praise, I can't avoid a negative observation. Sure the unit was made in China. It says that plainly on the box and on the bottom of the unit itself. Nevertheless, according to everything I can see, the steamer is being handled and marketed by an American firm in Wyoming. That matters because the instructions and other information about the steamer are found in the owner's manual, which is in English. Bad English. Moreover, a sentence may be half through at the bottom of a page, but when the page is turned, there may be no trace of the remainder of the unfinished sentence at the bottom of the previous page. In turn, words are either misspelled or there are typos--same outcome. Furthermore, the instructions are sometimes worded in a cryptic manner and the statements that are made to give instructions to the assembler or operator need better illustrations. Someone who knows standard English and someone who is gifted at explaining the mechanics of assembling this steamer should have a look at the booklet and put it into better shape. If no one has the will to do so, then, someone should at least clean up the content of the booklet for the sake of buyers. It's a great product. The manual should be at least as good.
The PurSteam is an easy to assemble product that does a fantastic job of removing tough wrinkles from a variety of materials. I really like the various levels of steam that is produced by simply turning the knob. The hose is well constructed and just the right length. While you can you tap water, I have found distilled water to be far more effective in any type of device that requires water such as iron's, etc. The distilled water will prevent buildup and save you from having to descale. I would recommend this product to anyone who is in the market for a steamer that is highly effective and easy to store.
I was a little intimidated putting it together. Once I had it assembled it worked great. I used it to steam my curtain panels that are approx 6 ft and there are 14 of them. It is great for big jobs if you are looking for something to just do one shirt I would recommend the the elite portable steamer that is also made by PurSteam.
I really love my steamer! It arrived really quickly in the mail, and it was pretty easy to assemble. However when I was trying to follow the instruction manual it was really confusing because it seemed like there were pages missing. There was no instruction on assembling the top part of the steamer, and the item shown held in the picture was not even mentioned in the manual. The steamer takes a little while to get going, but once it does it works really well! Overall I am satisfied with the product and I like that it has a 2 year warranty!
I own a boutique and have to steam out the wrinkles in over 100 garments per shipment. WOW what a lifesaver. When I started carrying garments a couple of years ago, I purchased a "household" steamer from Sharp. It did a "ok" job but not great and it took me forever to get the wrinkles out of tightly packed shipping box garments. Not to mention getting tired of my customers hearing what sounded like "indigestion" from the gurgling coming from my Sharp steamer. I am super disappointed. I spent $80 on something that doesn't do the one thing it's built to do. I have it on the highest heat and my clothes are still wrinkly as can be! I spent 10 minutes steaming the same long sleeve t shirt and it was better than when i started but wrinkles were still everywhere. It also take FOREVER to heat up despite the 40 second claim on the instructions.

I love the safety cap! The fact that it has an adjustable heating levels is wonderful. Did I mention how fast it heated up and stayed hot. It has a clothes hanger that makes steaming a breeze. I used the fabric brush on my furniture with great results. This steamer works great in the kitchen, bathroom, furniture and clothes. One appliance does so much!!!
Love this steamer. I had a professional grade Jiffy steamer that I couldn't stand and sold it on Craigslist. It was heavy, awkward, easily caused burns on my hands, and the steam hose had to be up in a certain way to blow steam so if you wanted to steam a long dress or pants, it was impossible. I had to hang clothes high up on my shower pole. This steamer is a game changer, so light and easy to use and blows steam like crazy. I just steamed my 144" linen drapes while they were hanging on my windows and was able to easily lift up the steamer and put it on the ladder platform. I was not able to use my old jiffy to steam these before and I had iron them for hours. So yes, I love this steamer.
I got this steamer because I was tired of my high dry cleaning bill and being tired of not wearing certain garments because I hate ironing. I read some of the good and bad reviews and was convinced that for the price it would do what I needed it to. I assembled the unit in 5 minutes and used it immediately. It was intuitive to use, though I can’t figure out if it throws out steam blasts or not. I have only used it on clothing. It does spill water, but it’s not a problem for me now that I know I keep it stationary.
This steamer really does heat up in less than one minute. The amount of steam doesn't seem like much is coming out but it gets rid of all the wrinkles. I spent about 5 minute on women's long sleeve blouses and cotton tops. I spent about 2 minutes on women's slacks.
The plastic hanger works well. And although I had no issues with the clips they didn't grasp as well as I would prefer.
The hose does get pretty warm but I was able to hold it with my bare hand comfortably for 1 hour, which is the the I spent steaming several garment.
The goal was to send less cloths to the cleaners and not use my iron anymore and I feel I've accomplish this with this product.
I would recommend this product I feel it is well made and worth the price.
