Very nice rug. I got the 6"x6" square; its description was accurate. It has a back lining and doesn't need extra padding. For those who are curious about the backing, look at the picture attached.

I really like this rug. I did notice one defect in the weave pattern that I am not thrilled with, but over all it accomplished the look I was going for. It also has a backing on the rug so no need to buy the rug pads unless you want a softer step. The grain is hard under bare feet, but my floors were hard before- so that is not really an issue for me. I may end up layering it with a softer rug- never know...The rug is a deeper natural yellower tone than the picture and the grey is a little darker also- which was my main worry when purchasing it, but it really wasn't too bad in person. It was pretty neutral all around. For the size 9x12 and the money- I am happy with my purchase so far- guess we'll have to see how it holds up.

I have three of these rugs. One in ivory that is an area rug under a decorative rug (layered it), and two runners- the blue and the navy. I had this question and never got a clear answer so I figured it out on my own. The blue runner shows in the picture looking navy, and the navy runner shows as looking blue and I found that to be true. My “blue” runner is actually navy and my “navy” runner is actually blue. The pictures photograph darker than the colors look in person. I love these rugs and think they are well priced. So if you want a navy border, order the blue. And if you want a blue border, order the navy.

I bought the 5x8 rug for my front entry and can't be happier with the purchase. It looks great!! The backing is soft & no problems with the rug slipping and it rolled out and layed flat immediately. When it arrived my husband had to put it in the back of his truck to haul home and I did leave it in the back of his truck in the sun for about 45 minutes, so that may have helped. It smelled a bit like a tea bag when I opened it, but not unpleasant in the least. The weave is very pretty and the color is true to what's shown online. There were a few spots that looked like they had unraveled, but I think it was just the end of the thread used to continue the pattern. I clipped these and now you can't even tell where the spot was. It does feel a bit stiff but doesn't hurt when walking barefoot across it, no different than walking barefoot outside. I've only had it a few days so I can't say how it is to clean or how well it will wear overtime but it seems to be well made and worth the price. I would definitely recommend and buy it again!!! Considering a smaller size for my laundry room.

Love this rug! I have the front 2 legs of my sofa & 1 leg apiece of angled recliners sitting on the rug. So far, no dents or holes in the weave. The natural qualities of seagrass, make this an extremely stain resistant rug. To clean it, use a vacuum cleaner with the roller brush off. The roller brush may pull the weave. Yes, it arrived with a green tint to i,t as others have mentioned; however it is a natural fiber rug & this is common. The green tint indicates the seagrass is still drying. My rug took about 10 days for the green tint to disappear. Also, upon unrolling; it took about 2 wks for the rug to lay completely flat. You can probably speed up this process by laying books or boxes on the ridges. You will probably have to trim with scissors some errant fibers that are not laying flat, no big deal. I paid $118 before tax on Amazon, for the 6x9. So much less expensive than the PB version. The cloth boarder's sewing didn't look great when I received it, but did look much better once the rug laid fully flat. I would say this is 85% of the PB version, in terns of quality; at 50% of the price. I gave it 5 stars based on the low price & good quality, as compared to the alternatives; which were at a much higher cost.

I spent a small bundle on a large jute rug, and ended up giving it away within months. I think half the village's dirt was shipped in that rug and came off in my dining room, which disgusted me. So I was hesitant to order another "natural" rug. Well, I have been VERY happy with this rug. It looks great, feels nice under my feet, and any tiny little bit of lingering smell was pleasant and scented of green fields. No mounds of suspicious dirt, and it holds the oriental rug I layered over it in place. The oriental rug has not shifted, nor has this one, even though I don't have a pad under it. Absolutely a world of difference between this light seagrass rug and that ugly fitlhy heavy jute rug I had. I worried it would be a giant cat toy, like the jute one was, but no, the oriental rug remains his favorite. Whatcha gonna do? *sigh*

I am considering ordering another for the living room. BTW, I shopped this rug to death, and for some reason Amazon was far and away the cheapest.

After lots of research I finally decided on this Safaveih natural fiber rug in size 9 x 12, and I'm so happy I did!
We rented a house on the ocean in Turks and Caicos that had a rug similar to this, however, I have to admit that this one is much better quality! The minute I laid it down my living room felt transformed and updated.

One thing to note before you buy a natural fiber rug, they are not soft. However, most people who are purchasing a natural rug are well aware of this. I don't mind it so the fact that it's not cushy under foot does not matter to me. It is comfortable enough and beautiful to look at!

Do yourself a favor if you're thinking about buying a rug in the natural fiber, this one is for you!

This runner is exactly as described. Very high quality and a reasonable price. One caveat, though, be aware that a pet can damage it - my small dog was sick during the night and vomited on it. As soon as I discovered it, I put baking soda on it to absorb the liquid and to deodorize it, and then hosed the whole rug down on my deck. The rug itself is still in great shape, but unfortunately, the vomit has totally discolored it. I would definitely buy it again if not for the pet. Separately, it is a little rough on bare feet.

This was exactly what I was looking for.The red binding is more of a maroon color, also what I wanted to match oriental rug. Some people complained of a smell. It is a natural fiber and smelled like fresh cut hay-- a pleasant smell but only if you put your nose practical on it. Gone almost immediately. Dog's claws have not bothered it at all. Looks great and I am very happy with it.

I absolutely love the look of this rug on my coastal home tile floor, but I do hope the earthy, sea grass smell goes away quickly so I don't have to return it. As someone else mentioned, I am concerned with kicking up hay-fever allergies, so it may have to air outside for a while. Someone else said it took about a month. The natural color is like the sea grass just blocks from our house, with a blend of tans with a hint of green. Our floor tile color contains tan, cream, gray and white tones, and the color scheme in the house uses greens, blues, corals, tan, and white. It really is perfect for our casual yet semi-formal living /dining room. I wanted a neutral rug without a lot of crazy stripes or mosaics or colors, but not boring and this seems to fit well. My rug does have broken pieces of the weave sticking up and I will trim those. We have a cat, and I was concerned that she might think it is kitty scratch mat, but since she prefers vertical scratch posts, she has not once attempted to scratch it - thank goodness. I am choosing to situate the rug under the couch and coffee table so that it is out of the main walkway going through the room. I do wonder if it would wear down quickly in a high-traffic area, even though it is very sturdy, So I love the rug but I hope it airs out soon.
