Read most of the reviews and caught this while it was on sale for Christmas at $293. This is one of the best beds I've ever owned. It has enough support but it's not too hard. I was a little concerned after reading the bad reviews about the fiberglass sock falling apart but discovered that most all memory foam mattresses have this and it is pretty standard because it is needed for fire prevention. Took a look at the fiberglass sock when I first got the mattress, and it didn't look like anything to be concerned about but just in case I bought a bedbug mattress enclosure that I never plan on taking off anyway so I won't ever have to worry about it. I think it's only idiots that take off original mattress enclosure to wash it that have this problem. If it were a regular mattress that didn't have any enclosure you'd be replacing your mattress anyway after your dog pissed on it...
(General Disclaimer): Bed comfortability is a subjective thing! What may be a great fit for me, may not be a great fit for you! Please know that when reviewing a bed and when selecting a bed. Than being said, let's get on to the review.
(What I came from):
I've owned a memory foam mattress for at least 6 years. My old mattress was more on the softer side of things, so much so that whenever I slept on my stomach (rare) I'd need an extra pillow on my torso for support, otherwise stomach would sink into the bed. After a few years I ended up flipping the mattress and sleeping on the "hard/support" foam, which was still soft, but not as soft as the side I was supposed to be sleeping on. My body got used to the soft foam, but I knew I needed firm, yet soft support.
(The Review):
Enter the "Best Price Mattress 12-Inch Memory Foam Mattress" (Full). I was careful when selecting this mattress; I checked the average positive review, made sure that the negative ones weren't criticizing for the wrong reasons (e.g. expecting a soft mattress when this one is under the "firm" search category), made sure that the positive review mentioned things that I needed (Firm but not hard, supportive yet soft, no pressure points), and this mattress fits the bill!
This mattress seems very firm at first, in fact it took my body a day or two to get used to this bed, now, I don't want to get up in the morning! It's sooo comfy. I woke up this morning and stayed an extra hour and a half in bed because it's so comfy lol. But uest it is firm, so it supports your body well, BUT, when you're in bed, and your body heat warms the mattress, it quickly softens and molds to your body.
I'm mostly a side sleeper and this mattress does not give me sore shoulders, in fact, I've so far woken up in the same position I've slept in and that's RARE for me, so this mattress is very good and eliminating pressure points and supporting your body.
(Unboxing): Was pretty painless, although I had to use a knife because when cutting through the tape I accidentally slightly cut the mattress and it expanded slightly. But once I got it out of the box and the bag, it pretty much expanded to its full size almost instantly. That's just for me though, so don't expect it to expand instantly for you.
For me, I can sleep on this bed on all positions, sides and back seem to be best. Keep in mind that all bodies are different and for me, this works perfectly. If any of what you read is what you're looking for in a bed, please, feel free to purchase this mattress.
My Body type: Male, '5 "10, 230Lbs,
I ordered a foam mattress from Amazon to make a couple of beds in the van. The queen mattress measured 80" x 60" x 6" and was constructed from three layers of different types of foam. (memory, soft, and firm) It also included a couple of covers over the foam, that I may be able to use part of for by van cushion.
The plan was to cut each van mattress at 74" x 30" x 6" to fit the two beds. I had some experience with foam, as I've previously cut another brand of mattress for the V-berth in my sailboat. In my last attempt I found it very difficult to keep the cuts perpendicular to the top surface of the foam. Since the electric knife had cut very well before, I decided to use it, but also attach a square to the side of the electric knife to solve the perpendicularity problem. I just used a simple combination of a hose clamp and shims to simply hold the the square to the knife handle. I also spent more time on setting up a dual table fixture for the foam that supported both sides of the cut. This all worked very well together.
The other problem I had with my last attempt was that the layers in the previous mattress were only glued on the edges, which forced me to glue the layers back together with stinky contact cement. I was lucky with this brand of mattress from Amazon because all three layers were completely glued everywhere I cut. I highly recommend this particular mattress if you are planning to make boat or RV cushions. This foam mattress comes in several thickness and bed sizes to fit your application. It also seems very comfortable to lay on and has no odor.
UPDATE 03/24/17: This mattress is AHmazing! It's cushy so I understand why extracurricular activities are not easily accomplished but I think adding an eggcrate foam to it would help. I haven't slept this well in three years! I have a vinyl backed mattress protector on it, so I do get warm sometimes. However, I think it's more from the vinyl than the mattress. And it's not terrible warm either. Will definitely recommend to everyone I know.
Delivery was disappointing. My bed was scheduled to arrive Tuesday March 14 and it didn't ship til late Monday night March 13. So it didn't arrive til Friday March 17.
That aside, I am really excited about this bed. To prospective buyers, please do your research on memory foam mattresses so you know what to expect. I believe the disappointed reviewers were uninformed consumers. To start, this mattress arrives in a large box, weighing about 60 lbs. I literally flipped it up the stairs, head over heels, to my room by myself. It comes in a tarp like material, compression bag. Pull it out and put the mattress where you want it. The compression bag can be ripped along the seam to remove the mattress. There will be another clear plastic wrap compressing the mattress. Cut it off once you have the bed in position.
It will begin to decompress once exposed to air. There was a slight smell to it when I opened the bag but nothing overwhelming. And I have a super sensitive nose. The mattress comes zipped in a flame retardant cover. It says it can be washed but from other reviews, I would just put a removable, washable mattress cover/bag on it. That way, you are protecting the inner mattress and get to keep the cover clean.
Within about 10 minutes, the mattress looked and measured like it was fully decompressed but when I sank to the bottom, I knew it needed more time. Proper research will show memory foam mattresses need 48-72 hours to fully decompress. But only if they were compressed to begin with. As the hours went by, the mattress got firmer. It's been 12 hours and there's still a faint smell. The mattress is firmer but I will wait the required time so that I don't ruin it. From what I can tell by lying on it briefly, it feels like a dream.
So far so good. Great price and my first memory foam. But please do the research so you know what to expect. You will be glad you did.
I first tried a Serta memory foam mattress at a local discount home center to see if I would like this type of mattress. The Serta was soft when I sat on it, but was rather firm (hard) when I lay down on it. I prefer this, so I took the chance and bought this one on Amazon since it was less than half the price. Surprise! This one is MUCH softer, although still fairly supportive. It is like a soft pillow top mattress (see my picture of a cat's feet sinking in the surface). I do sink in some when I sleep (my weight = 165lb) and I wish it were a little harder, but it is comfortable to sleep on. I have rated it 5 stars, even though it is a bit soft, since I could not have otherwise come close to this comfort and quality for anywhere near this price. This is a bargain!
Some people have complained about the smell. Yes, it has a mild smell for the first several days, but I don't find it is very obnoxious in character, and I was able to sleep on it the first night. Is it hot to sleep on? No matter what mattress I sleep on, I go to bed cold and wake up sweaty. This mattress is no worse than any other (I am using a mattress pad).
When the mattress comes, it is compressed in a white plastic bag inside a floppy cardboard box (see pictures). Remove the mattress from the box immediately and move the mattress in this bag (by grabbing each end) and place onto the box springs or platform bed BEFORE further unwrapping (see picture). Do NOT cut the bag, rip the seam instead (see picture). Mine expanded to full size in under 10 min (see picture).
Update 6/2/14
I was too quick to complain about the mattress being too soft. Now that it has had a few days to equilibrate, it had firmed up a bit. It is now as firm as the Serta mattress I tried, and I no longer have complaints about it being too soft.

Description
Memory foam provides a great sleeping surface. In normal temperatures it is somewhat firm, but when you lay down, it starts reacting to the temperature of your body and begins to mold itself to your shape. Then, weight is evenly distributed along the surface, relieving pressure points and helping you to sleep more without tossing and turning. A significant feature of this mattress is our PRESSURE RELIEF SYSTEM that you can actually feel when you lay on the mattress. Special areas inside the mattress are more pliable and accommodating to the areas of your body that create pressure points: your shoulders and hips. Most people move during sleep and when you roll to your side, your shoulders and hips create pressure points that can disrupt sleep. Our pressure relief foam really does minimize these pressure points. Size Available: Twin 39" x 75" x 10" Full 54" x 75" x 10" Queen 60" x 80" x 10".
I had extremely high hopes and expectations when ordering this mattress due to the amount of overwhelmingly great reviews. My husband and I set it up and the first night we thought "okay, this is pretty comfy to fall asleep on but we'll see how it is in the morning". The next morning we both didn't want to get out of bed because we slept so well. If I could give this more than 5 stars I would. It feels like a $2000 mattress but is less than 25% of the price. It's legitimately the perfect mattress. It's a dense foam so you don't sink in when you're laying down, but it's soft enough to be cushioned. I have noticed that I sink in a little more when I'm sitting on the edge of the bed, but it makes sense since it's the edge and I have my weight on a smaller portion of the mattress. My expectations were far exceeded! If you're on the fence, just take the plunge!
I will also note that I'm an incredibly warm sleeper and that even cooling mattress pads don't keep me cool enough at night to not sweat at least a little. In the time that we've had this I've been ill with a fever and even then I haven't woken up all sweaty, so if you're at all like me and you have the night sweats... you'll be pleasantly surprised.
I ordered this mattress based on its reviews. We too, couldn't be happier. I have back problems and left leg problems which makes it difficult to sleep. I went to a name brand mattress store and they suggested a memory foam mattress, stating that a spring mattress wouldn't give me the comfort that I needed. After looking at the $1000+price tag, I decided to come home and do some searching online. I was surprised on the price difference. It went from over $1,000 in a local store to under $300. I wasn't expecting the high quality of a mattress that I received when this mattress arrived.
Back to my problems... I have had back pain and left leg pain for a few years now. Prior to this mattress, I had a firm spring mattress. This mattress (in my opinion) is medium. Its not too soft and not too firm. It took a couple nights to fully appreciate it. By the 2nd morning, I woke up for the first time with no pain. I was able to comfortably sleep on my left side, right side and back for long periods of time in total comfort. When you change positions, the mattress forms to your body within seconds - supporting every inch. This relieved the pressure points that was previously causing me pain when I slept. For the first time in years, I'm able to get and stay comfortable during the whole night.
My fiance and I are both light sleepers. With this mattress we can move freely without disturbing one another. You can't feel any movement in the mattress either when the other person gets out or into bed. This is great!
Also, I saw questions with people asking about the size and if its accurate. The mattress I received was exactly the king size. 76'x80'x10' and king size sheets fit it perfectly.
The warning that is on the box is no joke: "This product will make you sleep so well, you will not want to get out of bed"
I hope this review helps.
Best Price Mattress 10-Inch Memory Foam Mattress, King
So for clarity, the actual mattress itself is NOT fiberglass, however the mesh fabric cover does have fiberglass. My partner and I took a chance because we definitely needed a new foam mattress, but as we live on a boat we weren’t willing to buy a custom foam mattress for $$$$! We had a 3 inch before that was falling apart after 1.5 years and neede something thicker to last until we upgrade our boat next year.
So we let the mattress air out and foam up for 36 hours and zero off gassing smell. We had to cut the edges down to fit in a v berth, so we wore gloves and a respirator when we discovered it was only the casing, so we removed that completely and after cutting to shape, enclosed it all in a protective zip mattress protector we had purchased separately.
I’ll tell you, after just one night it made a huge difference in my sleep! I had a weird kink in my neck the whole day before and woke up to it being gone! It is a firm foam that is dense, and since I’m a 95% side sleeper 5% back sleeper this is perfect for me! I have a new natural latex pillow arriving today which is also going in a protective case (to prevent extra moisture and last longer) and I likely won’t want to leave the bed anymore now!
Very happy with the purchase and taking a chance despite the negative reviews. For the cost and the quality it was worth it for us as a short term solution before we move into a larger boat home next year where we won’t need this anymore.
I would recommend safely removing the fiberglass fabric covering and purchasing a zippered mattress cover to preserve the mattress and also for peace of mind.
I took off 1 star purely for the fiberglass cover that just isn’t needed for the mattress!
First let me start by saying I LOVE this mattress. A friend of mine purchased the queen version in the 8in and he told me for about 2 years he and his wife had never slept better. I tossed it around while he recruited many friends around us to buy this thing. When he told me his 90 year old grandfather said it was the most comfortable bed he'd ever slept on I was sold.
I feel like there are a couple of things that help this one out. I've slept on many memory foams before and they always seemed either REALLY hard or really soft. After some research I learned that the layering of different foams and their ratios are the key. This mattress hits all of those exactly right. At the time of the writing of this review the king-sized 10in is around $260.00. For that price it was well worth taking the gamble. I was going to go with the 12in just to get a little more height for the bed frame but it turned out the 10in was more than enough height. I also opted to get rid of our box springs and buy 1in x 4in slats (about 13 or so) that cost me under $30 to let the memory foam breathe. I have a friend who kept his box springs with his mattress for about a year but is converting to slats. (On a side note we had a terrible pillow-top before)
Per my friend's instructions, when we got the mattress in we opened it on top of the bed, positioned it and let it do it's thing. We came back about 4 hours later and it had inflated enough to sleep on. It got a bit loftier over the next day. My wife and I are side and back sleepers with the constant flipping and shuffling method on a professional scale. My friend told me to, "give it a few days" to get adjusted to as it's a very different sleeping experience if you're going whole hog and not just sleeping on a hotel or friend's memory foam. He was right. I instantly loved it but my wife was a different story.
The constant flipping was a result of not being comfortable enough over the past years and it was more of a habit than anything else. After a few days our bodies realized they were actually comfortable and we've begun really sleeping through the night. I know the sleep trackers on fitbits aren't the greatest but where I was waking up 3 or 4 times a night and have about and hour or more of "awake" time, I'm now hardly ever getting up and have my awake time averaging about 20 mins or so. Needless to say, we're keeping this bad boy for a long time and the link is bookmarked for me to quickly shoot over to friends.
2/5/17 update
Had this for a few months now and never want to go back. Heaven.
We got the king. Amazing price. Got here so quickly. We opened it and let it rise/air out for 24 hours. It did have a smell. It's almost gone now. As soon as you lay down it's like heaven. This will be night 3. My husband said he's been getting the best sleep. My body has been feeling achy, but I read in the reviews that it happens as your body gets used to the mattress. Hope I remember to update but so far 5 stars for sure!
6/17/17
Still a solid 5 stars! Comfy, affordable, and looks good on my king sized bed frame that I also ordered from Amazon. Highly recommended.
Update 10/7/18
Wow. Never disappoints. I’ve been recommending to everyone! We have trouble sleeping in hotel beds because ours is so comfy. That’s when you know it’s good.
