Really am happy with this solution. I borrowed my Mum's Bissell ProHeat Carpet Cleaning Machine and was worried it wouldn't work too well as it's designed for a Hoover product. It took all the stains from the black mulch that was brought in from dogs feet and shoes on light beige carpets. I had also spilled some tea mixed with milk and sugar which was a bit of an older stain which I was unable to totally remove. I went over the area 3 times and it came out! I have the small portable shampoo unit and thought I'd try it on a light beige swivel rocker. Having 4 dogs and 2 cats this chair was in DESPERATE need of a cleaning and I thought anything was better than nothing. It came out GREAT!! The fabric is a rough tweed type and it has a nice clean fresh scent and no residue. I have VERY sensitive skin and break out easily with the slightest amount of chemicals/soap product residue. Happily this didn't bother me at all!! I did add an additional half cap of shampoo as I had quite a bit of high traffic ground in dirt. Dried rather quickly too within about 2.5 hours in 75* low humidity weather. Other shampoos I've used in the past have either taken far longer to dry or left a greasy type residue after. This was just a clean, fresh look and feel.
This is fantastic stuff. We had purchased the carpet cleaner machine & it came with a small bottle of the regular solution for us to try. We immediately ordered the pet stain version. The scent is very pleasant & I have very high scent sensitivities. This smell doesn't bother me at all. We have an elderly dog who unfortunately has accidents once in awhile. It's nice to have the solution handy to clean the carpet at a moment's notice. We've found that 2 passes of the machine will get the spot on the carpet clean, but we usually give it 3 passes just to be sure.
WOW ! Have a Hoover Max Extract, All Terran, machine, this product Hoover Petplus 2x is amazing, with two poodles, a urine spot was removed in 5 passes, all spots gone, AND, it also did a regular pristine shampoo to the entire carpet. I have used the regular Hoover shampoo soap and was about to give up until I researched to find that the urine is unique and more demanding to remove. I used warm water rather than hot;, seemed to also work better. MY take, a very real, researched and pragmatically applied process. I am an Italian clean freek, this shampoo made me smile. Now I need more puppies !! :)
My doggo got sick with a stomach problem (out both ends) and needless to say ended up destroying the one carpet I had in my house (Murphy's Law). I had it professionally washed which got rid of say 80% of the stench and visible marks on the carpet, but I still noticed some lingering odor and marks so I bought this PetPlus stuff alongside the FH50150 and together they did a pretty good-- but not perfect-- job of eliminating most of the residual odor and discoloration. I'd say I'm sitting at about 5-10% of the original odor, to the point where you can kinda lightly tell that something smells different but not necessarily like pet waste.
I've tried one application so far and I'm going to do another to see if I can't really nail this down and restore the comfort of my living room. I'll update this review after I do a few applications over the course of a few months.
I used about 12-15 ounces (300-400 mL) to clean about 300 square feet (28 sq meters) of carpet. At that rate the 64 oz bottle I bought would probably get about 1200-1600 square feet of carpet cleaned. This is the first carpet washing solution/carpet washer I've ever bought so to be honest I don't know if this is a fault of the solution, the washer, or if this is just what I should expect for carpet washing.
This is such a great deal for double the size bottle I originally got with my Hoover and this is the best for cleaning carpets even if you don’t own animals the scent is wonderful and leaves your carpet feeling and smelling brand new. I have a dog who no matter what I did to potty train him never would go outside or on a mat but always on the carpet and after finally investing in a Hoover carpet cleaner finally this product took out a whole years worth of urine without leaving a trace and restored my carpet to brand new. Of course I have to constantly repeat because of my dogs habit but this shampoo never lets me down and I don’t have to use much of this when I clean my carpet.

I thought all hope was lost for my white shag area rug that my pup had diarrhea on while I wasn't looking in FOUR different spots. I'd gotten the rug second-hand for $50, so the $200+ cost of getting a rug its size professional cleaned just wouldn't have been worth it to me. I bought this, plus a heavy duty scrub brush, to give it a shot before tossing the whole thing, and went to work... You can't tell anything happened on the rug now! I'm very pleased.
I got a brand new Hoover FH50150 Carpet Basics Power Scrub Deluxe Carpet Cleaner and used this solution with it last night. The 2 combined did a much better job of cleaning my wall to wall carpet than my older Oreck did. We have an elderly dog with incontinence issues so our carpet needed something that would work on dog urine. While this did a great job on the newer spots, I am giving it only 4 stars because the older spots are still smelling of urine. To be clear, I did not expect the smell to completely go away though. After a few more cleanings it may get rid of it and I will update my review if it does. Works great on newer accidents!
What I like about this product is that you do not have to put too much product into your carpet cleaner to clean the spot. A common error people do is when they clean their carpet themselves, they leave in too much of the chemical and do not flush it out. You want use the right product (Hoover) and the right quantity (per their instructions) and be sure to flush it out when you are done. It's that easy, a great product and a great value.
I researched a couple of different spot cleaners but picked this one up based on all the awesome reviews and it seemed that it would be the easiest to use. I had a problem with pet messes from a friend's dog and it'd become too much with spray spot cleaners, so I thought this was going to be the best way to go.
I used this right when I got it and it was so very easy to set up and use - it was exactly what I hoped it would be. I love that the tanks just come right off, they're easy to fill and rinse out, and that there's a very nice way of rinsing out the hose when it's all said and done. It's such a neat, tidy machine and it lifted up all the spots we'd had without a problem. I was able to do about 10 or so spots - from a small dog - with one large tank fill. It'll be SO nice having this around so I won't have to stress over stains anymore.
I included pictures of the carpet cleaner all broken down after I used it - it's very easy to clean up after you're done, as well as a before and after picture of the types of stains I had to clean up. I worked perfectly.
I was hesitant to order online since I had no idea how it smelled! It arrived safely and undamaged. The smell is actually much better then any others I've tried. AND with just once over with my Hoover carpet cleaner and this solution the stains where gone. It took the stains out so fast left a good smell in the house for several weeks and stains did not reaper as they have in the past with other brands. GREAT PRODUCT very satisfied.
