I received these 24 hours ago. I ordered 2 sets of 2 (4 strands total) on Prime Day (over 50% off) with delivery between July 14-19. On July 28th, I messaged the seller because I still had not received them. Waited 3 business days. Seller never responded. Contacted Amazon via message asking about my order. Amazon responded that they canceled my order and refunded the charge. Called Amazon and explained I still wanted my lights at the purchase price. I reordered and Amazon gave me a credit for the difference in cost. Happy with the outcome.

Put 2 strings on our pergola. One string on our offset umbrella and one string around the deck railing.

For the umbrella, I zip tied the solar panel to the arm just above the crank so I can turn them off or adjust the setting. I then fed the lights through the umbrella flap and used zip ties to secure the lights to the arms.

For the pergola, I wrapped the lights around the smaller cross beams and let the lights droop. I put the solar panels in the hanging ferns, so our puppy couldn't chew the cord.

For the railing, I put the solar panel in a potted plant on the railing and draped the lights across the pots, so it's easier to remove them if needed.

iPhone camera doesn't do well in low light, so I lightened a couple pics. Very happy with my purchase. Just wish I didn't have to go through the hassle of receiving them (hence removed one star).

Will most likely order more. Would love to see these in Christmas colors to put on bushes in the front yard.

One string is working quite well (of course, this is only the second night), but the other stayed on for only a very short time (as in minutes). They are on holly bushes that are next to each other, so the light for charging should be about the same for each string. I am hoping the second string just needs a bit more time to charge; by tomorrow night I should know. I really don't want to have to take these down and return them, as I DO like them. They are bright enough and convenient. We live in the country without street lights, so I can't tell how these would work in an environment where they might not stand out as readily; here they are nice though. They are convenient. I've never wanted to drag an electric cord 200 feet to those holly bushes.
If this works out, I have my eye on some evergreens in the yard, too :) .
UPDATE: I tried different brands this year, on different areas of the yard. These have worked the best. None of the brands stayed on for more than a few hours, but these have been the best of the ones I've tried.

These are great!! Love them, the lights stay on for several hours and cheer up the front and back yard. Bought a set for my mother and neighbor they loved them so much.
The only reason I knocked off a star was their easy to get tangled up while putting them up. The strands should have come wrapped around
a dowel stick or something. Lots of fun sitting in the back yard with the lights. You can have them blink in a pattern or stay solid no pattern which I like the best.
* One of the solar strands stopped working properly only after 2 weeks of use.
Seller recommended: make sure getting plenty of light to recharge. I also adjusted the placement of this one solar so the motion light does not effect it when goes on. This did help.
2 month update: They are lasting less than 4 hours now but still enjoyable to watch while they’re working.

Do you need a tree or brunch outside your house decorated with lights? If you do then these might be for you! With this string of light, you get 72 feet worth of lights, So these would be great for many things. These would especially work great for Christmas lights in the yard. These aren’t super bright but you would tell what object you have them on. Also the light has multiple lighting modes so you can customize them however you want. These are also solar powered so you don’t have to worry about batteries or having to turn them on or off at night. Overall, these are a great buy if you need some sort of lights outside! There is many things you can do with these lights!

I can see why this was highly rated. Absolutely LOVE these lights. They didn't take very long to charge, and I have them up already along my fence line and strung through one of my lilac trees. It creates quite the ambiance and makes my back yard very festive. The price was great, the product was well made, and easy to put up. I will say, when stringing the lights around a tree/pole whatever you might want to stretch the line out before you wrap it as it could get tangled easily. The lighting is not bright, and that is just what I wanted. Great quality and I am delighted with my purchase.

NOTE: I bought the second set of these lights, as a branch broke one of my sets during an ice storm, but the other set worked very well throughout the winter. These are fantastic. I can't say how much I love them. If you get these you will not be disappointed.

I am unable to determine exact duration the lights are on because they come on at dusk and stay on all night until the sun comes up! My best estimate is at least nine hours of illumination thanks to free sun exposure during the day. As we approach longer days and shorter nights in the summer these I will not even need the nine hours of illumination. The warm light mimics the type of light given off by the "twinkle type" lights used in holiday decorations. You would be hard pressed to tell the difference between the solar lights and the electricity eating holiday lights. They give off quite the same amount of light. Enough to provide a reflection off the water of our in ground pool. Hard to beat at this price. Even if they only last a few seasons they were well worth the price. Used a light industrial stapler to attach the wires along the wooden privacy fence and they were no issues.

We bought a ton of these for our daughter's wedding to use in our back yard. They are AWESOME! We strung them around all of our trees and bushes and it turned out fabulous! Make sure that the sensors are in direct sunlight, which is kind of hard to do. And it takes some time to make sure they were all set to the same mode, and we still didn't get them all to match. Don't know if it was a flaw in the unit, but with multiple modes to choose from, we tried to get them to match, and never did. Not a huge problem. But for the price, it wasn't a huge issue for us. We've had them hanging up for about 6 months, we live in Arizona, and they still work great.

If you want your backyard lit up like Christmas--then you probably want something you can plug in. However, I live on a small farm and I was looking for a fun way to light up the back yard. I bought a few at a time to test them out. Out of about 16 of them, one didn't work. I didn't sweat it because they're reasonably priced. The ones I put up early made it through the winter. The ones I put up this spring are still all working fine. I just went back and added a couple more. I like that I don't have think about them. They add a glow to the paths without adding electricity to my bill. Come Christmas, I'll probably choose to put up my brighter holiday lights in front of the house, but I love walking in my backyard at night now.

They come on a night and are still on in the early morning if I get up to check something. For the price, I'm totally satisfied.

We put it on a tree and put on the shimmer mode and it was simply magical. Would buy again if I need more!

One thing to consider though, is that whether you have a spot that would receive sunlight all day. Power doesn't store up too well for us as we have a fairly shaded backyard. Sunset is at 8:30 and power could deplete already at 10:30. It is NOT a problem of the battery capacity of this particular product - when it's full (it's been under the sun all day and I presume it is) it lights up for more than 4 hours under shimmer mode.

I like these lights as there is practically no daily maintence. I put them out on the deck railing to light the pool area below. The lights recharge the battery during the day' turn on at dusk, operate all night, and turn off in the morning. Repeat the cycle each day.
The only down side is the initial battery did not last long, but I purchased a replacement battery and it is going strong.
I have another set that I purchased in the spring and the glass on the solar cells frosted over and the unit quit working. So far, this unit is holding up under the East Tennessee weather.
Good product at a good price.
I hope this helps.
