It's snug around the front of the dock and doesn't make it any hard to slide in or take out the switch. It feels like a really light canvas material inside and out. (I wish the inside was that lens cleaner fabric so it would wipe my screen off a little when I put it in the dock.) The front has some padding. It gets dusty.
I mean it's a cover that gets the job done that looks and feel okay. And dont have to worry about accidental scratches on your screen if you don't have a screen protector

The fabric of the cover was exactly like I hoped it would be, and fit the dock snug. I'm so glad I don't have to worry about putting even MORE scratches on my screen (I've only had my Switch for 3 days and it already was scratched by the dock).
