The PurSteam garment steamer arrived as scheduled. The booklet that was included had good assembly directions and pictures. The steamer included attachments. After setting it up, I steamed a half dozen men's shirts. I didn't have to refill the tank. I liked the plastic pocket gadget that helped keep the pocket flat and helped straighten collars while avoiding burning yourself. The hanger has a bar to hold it in place, but then can be slid over so the hanger collapses. After use, I had no trouble following the dismantling and cleaning directions. The unit is compact. The company included a coupon for a free travel size Downy wrinkle releaser. I need to email them and the sample will be sent in 5 days. I used distilled/filtered water which was recommended to prolong the life of the steamer. I'm very satisfied with the steamer.
The steamer works well. Steady stream of steam makes it easy to get wrinkles out. I use the steamer on suits and slacks all the time.
It works great in between dry cleanings. It even does a decent job on cotton pants and shirts.
The steamer did stop working after about 23 months. The owners reached out to me directly when they learned of the issue and replaced the steamer.

I bought this in November and work ok (not great) for all of five months. towards the end of march I realized it wasn't working properly, steam would come out for about 5 minutes and stop. now here we are in April and it doesn't work at all. mind you I only used it a few times on the weekends. never used it during the week so it didn't really get used much. I contacted the seller and she went above and beyond to replaced my order. I don't usually write reviews but this one I had to. I will not hesitate in the future to do business with her again. At first glance, this thing looked awesome. Out of the box, it seems well made and cleverly designed. I put it together and the first thing I noticed is that the clothes clips are incredibly weak. Obviously, you don't want them too strong or they'd damage the fabric of your clothing, but these are literally so weak anything heavier than a t-shirt slips right out of them. So you can't "tug" on the fabric lightly as you steam to work the wrinkles out.
I went into my toolbox where I had two heavier clamps with soft rubber tips. I've been using those to great success instead. No damage to clothing and now I can really use this thing correctly.
I have tremendous trouble keeping wrinkles out of my clothing. I've tried just about everything and got really sick of constantly ironing (and failing at ironing) my clothes to look nice at work. This steamer has solved that issue for me once I got around the frustration with the clamps.
I think for this price I can't imagine something much better. The clamps are a minor annoyance and should be easy to work around. For $70 this little guy is making my life way easier.
(I'm buying distilled water to run through it so the Phx, AZ legendary hard water doesn't absolutely destroy it in a few days. But will comment on the long-term durability in the future. I've had it for two weeks so far with almost daily use.)
So I purchased this steamer over a year and a half ago. I will tell you I use this every single day when I get home from work and clean it as directed. It’s a wonderful steamer. My review however is for the customer service. I had an issue with the steamer. I’m sure it was just a “one off” problem. I checked my paperwork and noticed a 5 year warranty. I called on a Saturday and explained my issue. After a few short questions, a new steamer unit (minus accessories) was enroute to me. I received it in about 5 days, and I’m back to steaming again. For an inexpensive steamer, this thing is great! It heats up super fast and the steam is strong and consistent. It was a little annoying to set up because there are so many accessories, but once it's up it feels pretty solid. I was not expecting the steam to be so powerful. I haven't had any problems with leaking like other reviewers have mentioned. For reference, I am a professional stylist, so I know my steamers. I bought this for my office, and it's compact enough for the small space. I love it for office/home use, but if I showed up at a shoot and this was the steamer they had, I'd think it was amateur hour, even though it does have a stronger steam than some of the industrial steamers I've used.
I looked through many reviews on different steamers and decided to buy this one, and I'm SO GLAD I did. I would seriously spend 2+ hours every single load of laundry ironing out the wrinkles left behind. Not only did I constantly have to refill the iron, but it would leave little white water residue chunks on the clothing and it would sometimes leave marks on the clothes. This steamer is extremely easy to put together. Right out of the box I was AMAZED at how well it worked. Just running the wand end 1/2" over the shirt in a vertical motion took the wrinkles instantly!!! And the hanger attachment is THE BEST. The quick release on the hanger lets you put a shirt on so quickly. I really am so happy I bought this steamer, it has eliminated my need to iron and cut the time in half. I would recommend it to anyone. A+
I will say I use this for something it's really not intended for so if you plan to use it in a single location without needing to move it around during use you will like this steamer. I use it to kill cold and flu viruses at home and it is difficult to move in carpet during use. It gets the job done, I verified the temperature of the steam is 100C so works great for cleaning. The hose is long enough to steam the surfaces of my couch, I also used it to clean my dogs toys and pillows, all the items needing a good disinfect after being sick. I will eventually use it on my drapes, I trust it will work fine after all the other tasks I've already used it for. Simple to use, I didn't have any issues getting started.
Review edited again: I was able to take the bottom apart. I have only used bottled distilled water in the machine, but it still caused a calcium build up in it. once i cleaned out the bottom it started working again!
Review edited: going from 4 star to 1 star. Bout in may of 17 and it quit working last month. Didn’t even last a year:(
This type of product is used daily in our house, and has been for the last 10 years. Compared to other brands that we used this one is definately high up the rating scale. Our previous one was dying so it was time for a new one. This one has surely met our expectations. Only takes a little time to start producing steam. It is well built and provides extra attachments. We are not too fond of the shirt hanging bracket. We detached it and just hang and regular hanger on the hook to steam. We use only distilled water to keep it functioning at its highest capacity. The lid under the water storage unscrews to be able to fill the resivoir. Seems as though the threading may be off a little bit bc it takes a bit to get it on correctly. Overall, this product is a pretty good buy and we are happy with it.
