As expected, this iron and ironing board holder holds my iron and my ironing board. (Better Houseware Iron and Ironing Board Holder, Chrome, 1425) It is not fancy, but looks good, and that is OK. I basically avoid my iron and ironing board as much as I can, so I just wanted a place for them that was up off the floor and out of the way. My husband did add plastic wall anchors to make it a bit more secure. This has been up a couple of weeks, and I have actually used my iron and ironing board two or three times, and it is still securely mounted to the wall in my laundry room.
This works well, however I wouldn't say it would work for doors unless you want to drill holes in them. Also it doesn't mount well. To keep it from slipping up over the screws I got creative and drilled screws below and above the metal mounting bars so of it gets bumped it won't fall. See pic. There's screws at the top to hang and below the iron above the bar to lock it in. Works great
I think most reviewers already said this... the mounting screws have very small head, so once in they only keep the holder from moving down. When you lift the ironing board off, the holder will simply come off the wall. Like others have said and done I also needed to add washers to each screw to truly hold it to the wall and keep it from comping off.
Beyond that, it does what it supposed to do.
Before buying this product, these two items would just lay around the house. Not anymore! They have a place. I have hung this in my hallway closet and it my items away much quicker now that I know they have a place of their own.
I had one previously that was coated with plastic, and if you accidentally put the iron back too soon it melts the plastic. This one looks much nicer and you don't have to worry about damaging it if the iron is a little too hot. My iron fits in it just fine and you can hang either the ironing board or something else on the bottom of it.

Awesome product. The only thing I don't like is that I used to wrap the cord around the plastic base of my iron and with this holder the iron is too wide and won't slide in if the cord is wrapped.
This was kind of hard to install...........I put it behind a bedroom door but when the wind blows the door shut the iron falls off !!!
This is a simple piece of hardware that makes life in the laundry room a little less cluttered. It is exactly as advertised, nothing fancy about it, totally functional.
Works great for our 40 year old ironing board. I mounted it with wood screws into a wall stud with the ironing board resting on the floor but retained against the wall with this hanger.
My cord keeper iron fits perfect. I keep a bottle of starch on one side and a bottle of anti-static on the other. I have the same ironing board pictured. Secured nicely to the inside of my closet door. Love that my ironing essentials are now stored neatly!
