I just have to write a review on this! We just bought a house and the previous owner and his adult son were quite lazy when it came to cleaning up spills. The very light carpet was stained from dumped drinks so I immediately had the carpet professionally cleaned and I actually watched him using stain removing products which did not work. I ordered this Folex spot remover based on the high reviews. With fingers crossed, I used it on the carpet stain. I actually put on a latex glove and I worked it down into the carpet because the carpet is a short, tight plush pile so it didn’t seem like it was getting down in there. I did this for about 5 minutes and then I covered with an old towel and stepped on it. I then just walked away leaving the towel in place. I came back about 10-15 minutes later, lifted the towel, and OMG, it was GONE. Completely gone!! This gentleman had also left a dining room set and all of the chairs were stained, one being particularly bad with what appeared to be spilled coffee or cola into the seat and then just left there. I have no doubt this stain had been there for many years and I had absolutely NO hope whatsoever that it would come out but decided to give it a try anyway after what it had done to the carpet stain. I did the same thing, sprayed very heavily onto the seat and allowed it to soak in for about 15 minutes before covering with a towel and just leaving it. I actually had forgotten about it and left the towel on over night. The next morning I remembered and lifted the towel and I just couldn’t believe my eyes. It too was completely gone. I just had to post pics of this because it was truly unbelievable. I cannot recommend this product enough.
After watching this erase cat barf from carpet like magic, I decided to try it on a giant red stain that the prior tenants left behind. The carpets were professionally cleaned before we moved in, and the stain was there, glaring. While the Folex has not (yet) removed it completely, it is now a much less offensive pink that blends fairly well into the dark tan carpet. I think a few more applications might actually remove it entirely. A less saturated area did vanish.
The best method for me is to dampen the area and gently agitate with my fingers directly, then place an old quilted cloth diaper on top. Step, then leave it be for a few hours. The stain gets pulled into the diaper (any absorbent cloth will do).
Fantastic product that I will never be without!
Before I begin, let me say that we primarily purchased this product for use on stains generated by a new puppy. Folex was recommended to us by a professional carpet guy. For very recently "made" pet stains this stuff is awesome! It very thoroughly removes the staining substance, dries quickly, does not alter the color of the carpet/fabric and best of all, has no smell itself. For me it was bad enough having my home's carpet violated by our new mongrel, but the thought of my home smelling like said violation + some cleaning product was very unappealing. Enter Folex, it works great on pet stains, cleans the area (which I have double checked with my OCD-approved UV-blacklight) and leaves no odor of anything behind. It is the best I have found.
As for set in stains, it works well but it is not a miracle product- that said I am not sure anything is. Due to the fact that this worked so well on pet stains, I got ambitious and tried it on all the nagging stains I had in my beige carpeted upstairs bedrooms. One was a rust stain I made several years ago when I absent-mindedly placed a rusty bolt directly on the carpet while installing a ceiling fan; that stain came out 5 out of 10. The other was from when I stepped on a rogue eyeliner shaving from my bathroom floor that imbedded in my sock and got on my master bedroom carpet as I left the bathroom. That stain was about a year old and it came out 8 out of 10.
Overall, Folex is terrific for new stains and pretty good for set in stains. The price here, especially for the two pack, was way better than the store as well. Hope this helps and good luck.
This is by far THE BEST carpet cleaner out there!! I love this product! Do you have the following on your carpet...Old stains? Ketchup? Ice cream? Pet potty, marker, weird odd stains that shouldn't be there but your kids deny they did it... This is your product! I was desperate to get the stains out from the messy kids. I didn't spray it, I poured this on the stain enough to get it super wet. Walked away for abt 3-5 mins to soak on the old stains and scrubbed it with a hard bristle brush. And boom no more stains!!!!!! Seriously. I'm buying in bulk. LOVE this stuff. Product arrived quickly and brand new.
I love this product. We have a large dog who suffered a neurological issue that left him incontinent for a period of time. Every week I was pulling out our big carpet cleaner to remove spots and stains (while hoping the carpet would outlive the health condition). This has been an amazing cleaner. It removed every spot and stain. I would always use the unscented Nature's Miracle when I cleaned the mess. Then once it had dried would go back over the spot with Folex. I generally just use a paper towel to work it in to the carpet, let it sit for just a minute and then soak up the cleaner and stain with a clean paper towel. Often, if I walk away while giving it some time to work, I have to feel around for the wet spot because I can't tell where it was. Some of the worse spots needed a bit more time or more than one spray. Sometimes I use a brush to gently work it in to the carpet, then let it work for a minute before using a clean towel to wipe it up. I'm amazed at what a great job it has done. I think the carpet is going to make it.

Why hasn't anyone bothered to mention that this stuff would put every other stain remover (for laundry or otherwise) out of business? When I moved into my current place, I found a bottle of this under the sink. It was half-empty, but the first time I kicked over a glass of tea on the carpet I went for this, and was AMAZED.
Because y'all... I drink mate (mah-tay - sorry can't figure out the accent on this new chromebook yet) - and it stains, GREEN. I got it out of my beige shag carpet with little effort. I've gotten mate WITH TURMERIC out of my beige shag carpet. I've gotten bloo stains, new and old, as well as ancient grease stains out of CLOTHES. I bought the two-pack because I have pets and a six year old - so I keep one bottle under the sink, and I keep the other in the laundry room because it works just as well on clothes as anything.
There is no odor and it didn't even irritate my skin.

As a mom with a four year old, two inside dogs and a husband cleaning is a nonstop project in my house. Anything to make cleaning easier is needed. I have a light tan carpet in my house so I am always trying to keep the carpet clean. While asking around the answer was always unanimous. Folex is what all of my mom friends recommend for all stains. Folex is now one product that I always make sure to have in my house. It is perfect for all spills and stains on my carpet, and any accidents that my kid of pets have. I use it for spot treatment for spills and also use it in my carpet cleaner and it works better than other cleaners that I have used in the past. It is also one of the cheapest carpet cleaners that I have tried. It has gotten out every stain that I have tried it on. I am so glad that I finally listened to my friends and got myself some Folex.
I don’t usually write reviews but this is a must.
I have tried many too if the line carpet cleaners to remove stubborn doorway stains. Nothing really worked. I decided to give this products a shot.
It’s AMAZING!!! Wow! See for yourself the pics.
It does not carry any strong orders. You just spray and scrub/wipe. It comes up so easily. Because this carpet stain was so dark I really didn’t expect it to do anything. Wow was I wrong. This product is perfect for order sensitive people. I also used it in smaller less noticeable stains and with a few wipes stain disappeared! Like magic 😂
I have an elderly cat and have given up all the smelly cat rug shampoos now that I use this. This works both on my wool Berber and my stain release carpet. My rug shampooer suggests that I add more water to it since the residue of all the products leave a sticky film that picks up dirt, but mostly I clean first with water and then spray a bit of this on, rub it in with my fingers and rinse with cloths moistened with water. I had previously used this for red wine spills and was delighted to discover it would also deal with my current odor problem too.
Have you ever been approached by those darned slick salesmen that are always trying to sell you something with their fancy words just to make a quick buck? Or have you seen all those TV commercials about the absolute must have AND BEST carpet cleaning solutions and wondered if you should get it? Well, allow me to put you at ease with Folex. I will tell you beforehand that I am very skeptical about EVERYTHING and ANYTHING, especially if it mentions that it "removes stubborn grease, dirt and grime" and/or "ideal for pet accidents, grease, ink, red wine, coffee, blood, rust, food, cosmetics, dirt, grime, and most old stains."
HOLY MOLY right? My thoughts exactly. I love coffee and will NEVER, EVER do it the injustice of spilling it..COFFEE IS LIFE..!! BUT I do have furbabies (3 to be exact) and a husband that tends to track dirt in and leave smudge marks in places that I didn't even know existed.
I have to say that I have had the pleasure of testing it on grease, pet accidents, blood, cosmetics, spaghetti (don't judge me), and stains that I swear I have no idea where they came from.
I applied and followed the directions for applications and afterwards. SUPER DUPER EASY! You just spray on and blot afterwards. I will have to say that depending on how old and stubborn some stains are, you will have to either spray a little more on it and/or let it sit a little while longer. I did have the pleasure of seeing some of the stains "disappear" before my eyes, as the bottle claims. Again, don't be surprised or disappointed about that when it comes to those stubborn stains. They will go away.
I have found that it does not have an odor to it, before or after application. I have also noticed that it does not leave any discoloration whatsoever. I will add that I had beige/tan carpets and do not know how it will fare on other colored carpets. So, if you are a fellow skeptic like myself and have some hesitation about buying the Folex product. Don't be!
I ordered 2 bottles of Folex on 08 April (it came as a bundle with OXO Good Grip brushes I ordered) and received it on 12 April 2016. It was packaged with care and came in a box. The box was easy to open.
