I fought the wave of what appeared to be trendy douchebaggery for months, maybe years. I watched the six-figure making Crossfit brosayers all around me... Sipping from their sticker clad Hydroflasks.
“Wtf is the deal with these things?”

“$50 for a water bottle”
*douchebaggery amplified by 50x*
“Mother truck that”
I continued to watch them... Eventually the douche juice bottles enter the mainstream. I saw my friend who makes like $20 an hour buy one for herself AND her kid.
“Maybe they got cheaper...”
*Googles Hydroflask*
“Nope.”
*friend goes on and on about how great they are*
“You’re dumb.”
So, finally deciding that maybe there’s something to this trendy nonsense, I ordered one- in graphite (I like the bright colors but I didn’t want to bring attention to my new douche-cessory). I felt dirty and ashamed. I had given in.
My Hydroflask arrived 2 days later.
I opened the box and saw the most expensive water bottle I had ever purchased in my life. I stared at the Hydroflask Logo. A solitary tear of shame rolled down my cheek.
Then it changed my life.
I don’t know what it is, but I’m compelled to drink more water than I ever have before. Maybe it’s the portability, or the fact it keeps cool water cool for HOURS. Maybe it’s the texture of the bottle or the size of the straw. Maybe they infuse the aluminum with crack. Maybe I just REALLY want to get my $50 worth of use. I have no idea. But it’s real.
I’m going on 3 weeks and I’ve cleared about 2 bottles a day, which for me is HIGHLY unusual.
I have been so impressed that I invited my children and my husband to join me by purchasing them their own Hydroflasks- we are now the douche clan.

***7/2018 Update***
As the leader of the ever expanding douche-clan, I am proud to report that we’ve had no issues with our eternal symbol of unity. The kids use them ALL DAY AND ALL NIGHT. They’re literally never dry on the inside. They sleep in bed with their nice icy water and dream of CrossFit, man buns and Lulu pants- despite the constant saturation there is not a single iota of rust.
In conjunction with the presumed “crack infused aluminum”, I am beginning to suspect that there may be magic of some sort in play. If you have small kids, you understand how impossible it is to have the same water bottle for a week, let alone multiple months. Perhaps it’s the constant threats from mom and dad, perhaps it’s the new household neuroticism regarding the location of our Hydroflasks... Or maybe... Just maybe... A unicorn horn was ground and utilized at some point in the manufacturing process.
In my closure of this update I would also like to share that my grandmother-in-law, who is 96 and about as charming as a cat dropped into a bathtub... Has joined the douche clan. By her request.
This is a woman who the first time I ever met her said “hi nice to meet you” then looked directly at my husband and said “you got fat”. Later that year as her granddaughter (visiting from Germany) got up for another helping of dessert, shouted across the 14ft table “do you really need another piece of cake?!” She also tells me that I need to comb my 4 year old’s hair and said she’s going to be rotten. Real charmer, this one. But she’s 96, so I appreciate her lack of ducks given.
Moving on. She, despite her near-century of witnessing the comings and goings of fads and trends, has succumbed to the power of the Hydroflask.

At that moment I stared at her, I stared at her daughter, I stared at the little white splat dude on the side of the bottle... NO ONE SAFE.
The straw lid sucks. Lots of air flowing through it. Not alot of water flowing through it. Doesn't work when bottle is 3/4 empty (or 1/4 full for that matter). Love hydroflasks, but not impressed with this straw cap. Trying to figure out how I may be able to exchange it for just a regular cap, or the other available straw cap...

Contacted Seller. They got back to me right away and had me do the easy warranty info with Hydroflask. I was sent a new straw lid free of charge, no questions asked, in a timely manner. I use the thing every day now. Its the 40oz. It fits in my cup holder of my truck (dodge ram) and also fits in the water sleeve of my,backpack...so that was fortunate...
Apparently the seller is the only one certified to sell HF products on Amazon. Move to from 2 stars to 5. Thanks everyone
I love my Hydro Flasks. They are sturdy and do not leak. They really, really keep drinks cold. And when I say they keep them cold, I do not mean cool or cold as in pretty cold. I mean icier cold than you could possibly believe! I assume they also keep drinks hot, but I only drink cold drinks.
I actually own several Hydro Flasks of different sizes. I have an 18 ounce flask for the car and running around town that fits in the cup holder. I have a 64 ounce flask for road trips, since I am frequently driving cross country. And I have a 32 ounce flask that I carry to work for 12 hour shifts. The finish on them is great and each of them still look brand new, except for the one I dropped and it dented. Even the dented flask still works great at keeping everything cold.
Do not put any part of the flask in the dishwasher as that will ruin the finish and it's simply not necessary. Washing them is easy with a quick swirl under the tap with dish soap. My tea tends to discolor the interior with time and then a tiny bit of vinegar and some water swirled around makes it look like new again in seconds.
It’s amazing! Best water bottle I have ever owned. Keeps ice in it for days. I went to the gym at 5:30 am on a Thursday and then went camping Thursday afternoon. I drank all the water and continued to fill it up. I wanted to see how long the ice would last so I tested it out. Friday it was still about 3/4 full of ice. I filled it twice with water on Friday. Then Saturday I checked and it was still half full of ice. My family and I hiked all day Saturday and by the end of the day the ice was near the bottom. So that’s two in a half days of ice cold water. Amazing!! My husband and kids always are sneaking drinks. I’ll be purchasing more of these.

I purchased my first Hydroflask 24 oz containers last January while on Maui. I recently purchased the 40 oz container this week. They are very durable and easy to clean. The smaller 24 oz containers are harder to put ice into, but the 40 oz has a larger mouth. I tested the ice ability for 48 hours, there was still a small amount of ice after sitting in our home after 48 hrs. I would highly recommend this product.
I was skeptical about purchasing a Hydro Flask online because of counterfeit concerns. Upon arrival of my flask, it was apparent that this was the real
deal! It came wrapped and labeled authentically with the lid/straws as described. The flask holds my ice for at least 12 hours and keeps the water fresh and cold. I
didn’t like the straw (a little too much air), so I removed it and was pleased to discover that I could drink straight from the spout top without leakage. The spout lid makes it super convenient to drink from while working out. I saved so much money purchasing this fantastic product on Amazon.
Hard to beat these, that's for sure. I filled mine with ice and left it on the counter. 36 hours later, it still had ice! I can't handle room temp water and this has solved the problem. I find myself drinking more water now because the temp is correct and that keeps it refreshing!

A big thing I love about the Hdryo Flask is that most of the material it is made from is stainless steel, meaning minimal plastic.
I've had this for roughly 6 months now and it's held up great. I probably drink 5 or 6 of them a day because I drink so much more water when I'm drinking from a straw, like I am when I use this thing.
My only complaint is that as time has gone on it's gotten more difficult to drink out of, as if something isn't quite connected right. I tried repositioning the straw inside the cup and it doesn't seem like it's done anything to fix the problem. I think how far I open the top before drinking makes the difference and I have to get the straw positioned just right for me to not suck air with the water. I'll have to look into it the next time I wash it as this just started happening. It would get 5-stars if it didn't start doing this.
Besides this minor problem I do still love the water bottle. I'd recommend it.
This flask is amazing it keeps drinks at their temp for long periods of time. I live in Arizona currently, and it gets HOT. So usually it is very difficult to maintain a cold beverage however, with this I can put a cold drink with minimal ice in it over night, and next morning it will be perfectly chilled. Same goes for AM to afternoon. I couldn't be happier with the purchase! The color is so cute as well! Very accurate to the picture online. I got the 40oz but will most likely be getting the 60oz for my husband shorty! The flask came with two straws, so it is nice to have an extra!
