This is made out of heavy glass not plastic. It has been through the washer more than a dozen times and the engraving is still intact and looks great as it did it from day one. I ordered three of these, two of the cat and one of the dog versions. All arrived safely, very cleverly packed using expandable foam. The glasses are very clear, not cheap greenish glass, thicker than a typical high-end wine glass, but the added thickness should make them less likely to chip or break if knocked against some other object. The laser etching is a bit faint, and it doesn't compare to old-school mechanical engraving, but it's flawless and attractively designed. Of course, it won't wear off in the dishwasher, like glasses with enameled artwork.
These are huge glasses, which might be too big for small hands. They hold about 14 ounces, which is nearly three standard 5-ounce servings of wine! So, beware when filling, unless your objective is to get blotto in a hurry. They are approximately the same size and shape as the "NOTMOG" (not made of glass) plastic wine glasses I bought a couple of years ago, but the real glass feels better in the hand. Got this as a birthday gift for a friend and she loved it! It's good quality and not thin glass like some wine glasses. The etching is clear and not smudgy. Great for any cat/wine lover.
This wine glass is awesome! I had it sent to my friends house and she is a packaging specialist for her job. She was very very impressed by the way the glass was packed! Also I am impressed that although she is more out in the country than I am, her glass came hours before mine did. We had a great laugh at that. Very good job, love the " not drinking alone if the cat/ dog is home. Gave me a choice for both our pets.
Got this as a gift for my daughter (and her cat) and she loves it. Etching is clear and easy to read, but it is not as centered on the glass as shown in the photo. It's higher up on the glass and closer to the top. Not a flimsy glass, good quality

Because the glass is etched, it can go in the dishwasher and still looks great. I have wine glasses that now say nothing because the wording has disintegrated in the dishwasher. I also like that it's 15 oz - some of the other stemless glasses are too large (for me). Most importantly, I love cats and I thought the inscription was funny.
Great glass. Bought it as a gift and they loved it. I had purchased a similar one with a decal instead of the etching and the design came off with one washing. This one is etched and looks awesome.
