Used this twice. Both times it gave a reading of the meat being at a temp of about 90 degrees when in fact it was done cooking. Followed the directions to recalibrate, still had same results.
We bought this based on the reviews but were very disappointed and returned it.

the customer service is outstanding. They noticed my 1 star review and reached out to me immediately. They refunded the entire cost as well as sent a free replacement. The replacement works much better and gives an accurate temperature reading. The first thermometer must have been defective.

Gave my hubby as part of a bbq basket, he loves it... he just tested my daughters bath, it measured 102.4 degrees, seems a little on the rare side...
The Thermometer was working well when I was working but now it is lots of having problems. It is only working intermittently and often times shows all 888’s on the thermostat reader. I changed the batteries but I am still having the same issue. I used it less than 10 times. I have a Webber thermometer I bought 5 years ago and it still works fine. If it was reliable I would give it 5 stars.
Update: After writing this review the company immediately contacted me and told me they would send me a new thermometer and that the product had a lifetime warranty. The replacement showed up a couple days later and I couldn’t be happier! Great customer service!
Worked as expected - came w extra battery - that was cool - took about 6 seconds to reach stable temperature.
Works great my other one wasn’t as heat resistant or as waterproof as this one the lighting is great and temperature guidelines on the side make for perfect grilling

We were very happy with the Kizen meat thermometer. We used it to cook a 16-pound prime rib on Christmas and it was perfect! Customer service has been outstanding. I received a follow up email with a compilation of suggestions for most effective use and another reminding me that the product is under warranty should we have any issues. I decided to spend a few more bucks and get this instead of the cheaper ones for sale. I'm so glad I did. This one reads faster and automatically shuts down when you fold the probe into the handle. It is also nicely packaged with spare (button) batteries. No more cheapies (that last a few months) for me!
Use all the time. Oven or grill. Seems accurate and has a handy temp guide on it. Keep ours on the fridge with the magnet built in to the back.
This was a gift for my husband for Christmas. He has since used it several times, and he is VERY happy with it. He likes the overall size, the fact that the probe folds into the thermometer and is easy to clean and store. He also likes that the reading is digital and shows the correct temperature within seconds. Finally, he likes that there is a temperature guide on the thermometer where it is easy to see what the temperature should be for the product to be thoroughly cooked.
