Ok, so I purchased this Lucid 3 inch topper in Cal King! Right out of the box there is a slight smell but it's a "new foam" smell nothing out of control. The item was wrapped perfectly with a mesh fabric protector (dispossable) and a nifty letter type opener so you don't have to worry about damaging your item. It was easy peasy! Just open it up, lay on floor, unroll and almost instantly my topper got to it's 3 inches. I popped my ceiling fan on to speed process although I will odbide by the recommended 48 hrs to sleep on. I hope I can make it that long cause I did lay on it briefly on the floor and was in Heaven. I literally closed my eyes for a moment and thought I was on a puffy encompassing white cloud. I swear I could hear angelic voices and see Pegasus flying around me! l'm super hopeful this will help my lower back and hip pain. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and anyone who knows about that, You know about the wide spread pains we get. Those evil little fibro elves that man each joint and take turns stabbing you with little miniature knives. Ugh! I HATE them! Lol I really appreciate the construction of this topper. The fact that it's infused with charcoal is an added antimicrobial and moisture barrier benefit. It seems awesome but only time will tell. I'm in my 30s and about 118lbs but sleep heavy. My hubby is about 175 ish and tosses every 10 min. He has horrible neck pain and lower back pain. (Too many years of playing Hockey) So, we are both looking forward to some much needed sleep therapy.There is a 3 year warranty on it so that makes me happy. I will update after a full weeks sleep. Only CON I can see this far is I wish there was a bamboo zippered cover for it. May need to purchase deep pocket sheets.This is a COMPLETELY unbiased review, purchased by me. May 24 UPDATE: Man oh man! Did this item truly exceed my expectations. This topper has been heaven sent. It has completely overhauled my joints in a way that they actually feel less tender and sore. That lower back pain has decided to pack up an move. My fibromyalgia episodes seem less due to being more well rested. With joint pain and wide spread pain lessened I have been able to slowly start doing yoga again. I just needed my body to repair a bit first and this topper definitely helped. My kids call it the marshmallow bed and fight over who gets to nap in it lol. It does help wick away moisture. Especially when paired with bamboo sheets. I will replace after warranty is up in 3 yrs to make sure I'm receiving the best from this product. I can't rave enough. I will update again in 6m. Please don't hesitate you found the one. I will say if you are over 300lb try going up to a 4-5 inch topper for added support. Blessing for better sleep to all...
Great scott! When I get fired for not coming into work, can I sue this company? I ask, because man, I do NOT want to get out of bed in the morning. I purchased the queen size, and I am not joking about this; I have slept better since putting this on my bed (and no, I did not want the suggested 48 hours) than I have in years! I have sleep apnea, and if I lay on my right side, my hip starts to hurt, and if I lay on my left side, my sinuses clog up on that side making breathing difficult. With this mattress topper, I am able to actually lay on my back, and fall asleep for the first time in years! Thanks! Highly recommend this product!
I read all of the wonderful reviews prior to purchasing, and never imagined that it would live up to all of the praise. When I first slept on the topper, I was not sold. It seemed too soft. It has now been around a month, and my back and neck pain are completely gone. It is extremely comfortable, and I am very pleased with this product.
This topper changed my life. Seriously. I could not sleep hardly at all on my (brand new) firm mattress. But the first night I added this topper I slept better and deeper than I had all month. Waking with no stiffness or pain!
This is such a comfortable memory foam mattress pad. I didn't realize how uncomfortable my old mattress was. I was having trouble sleeping and thought I would try this to see if this mattress pad helped. Now I'm sleeping through the night and don't want to get out of bed in the morning because I'm so comfortable. This mattress pad was a game changer !

I actually slept longer than my usual 3 hours. Six straight which is really good for me. I did as the instruction said and waited after removing from box. I have slept better each night than I have in years. I have lower back problems (which I think was caused by my mattress, or at least not helped by it) so I am very impressed by just adding the Bamboo Charcoal memory foam.
The 4" queen foam topper I bought has completely lost all firmness in only 3 months of owning it. My husband weighs right at 200 lbs., and I weigh 115 lbs. When my husband lays down in bed the foam completely flattens and I am left laying at a slant. Absolutely the most uncomfortable 4" topper I have ever bought. The last 4" topper we bought was a spa sensations and lasted us about 5 years until it finally lost it's firmness on my husbands side of the bed, and even then, my side was not affected. I thought this memory foam topper might be superior due to being slightly more expensive, and not only was I wrong but now I am paying for it, "literally" due to having to buy a new topper. This one is just unusable for me. Save your money and look elsewhere. I wish I could give it a negative star. It is that bad!
**Updated 5-26-18 - After leaving my review, Lucid emailed me to let me know that they want all of their customer's to be 100% satisfied and refunded 100% of the purchase price. I am totally floored by this outstanding customer service and by a company that stands 100% behind their products. Bravo Lucid, you have just won yourself a customer for life, I also bought a 3" topper full size for my son, at the same time I bought the 4" for myself, and that one has held up with no issues whatsoever and he has no complaints.
I bought this for travel, but my trip was cancelled. I had planned to.use it on those hard hotel beds. Not knowing a good place to store it, I decided to put it on top of my Temperpedic mattress. That night, I slept for 9 hours. That hasn't happened in a year or more. I followed the instructions and let it air out for 48 hours before using. It was free of chemical smell by then. I have only slept on it for 3. So far, it's great.
