So I'm giving this five stars even though we have had to replace the filters after 6 weeks, not six months. The thing is that the AQI around here has been as bad as 438 due to forest fires, and these little machines have given us sanctuary in a couple of rooms where we don't have to wear masks all the time. Attaching pictures of new filters next to old. Buy this one... it does the job. And then some. When the air cleared I turned it off for a while because it was starting to smell smoky because the filter was full... and immediately started having horrible issues with asthma.
If you're on the west coast and have one of these, it's time to change your filter.
I use the PureZone 3-in-1 True HEPA Air Purifier in my office, because I spend more time there than anywhere else, and let's face it, my coworkers are just covered in germs. ;) Plus, I like to keep my windows open despite the canary waves of ragweed that have me surrounded. Happily, I have one ally on my side, this beautiful little air purifier that slaves away all day to create a microcosm of clean, fresh breathing air.
Since using it, not only has the stale old-building odor disappeared completely, but I am feeling remarkably fewer allergy symptoms. I am so happy with its effectiveness that I'm going to buy another unit for my bedroom and then I'll basically be invincible. I almost can't wait for flu season to start.
Its design is so sleek and clean that it's a shame to put it on the floor. Personally, I like to keep it close by me so I can hug it from time to time, but you may use the flat surface of your choice. (It's powerful enough to filter 200 square feet of air.) Isn't everyone as tired as me of that dated black and silver plastic design? In contrast, the crisp shining curves and airy white color make this unit look as pure as the clean air it's exhaling. And the easy access control panel contains a simple set of illuminated buttons that are as intuitive as they are elegantly designed. I think someone ought to get a raise for that panel design. It has an indented carrying handle behind, should you need to move it around. I just love everything about the design of this air purifier.
It arrives ready to go. You only have to pull off the front panel (which is simply and appealingly attached with magnets) and unwrap the filter from its plastic bag. Then plug it in and away it goes.
Its 3-in-1 filter consists of:
1. Activated Carbon (absorbs formaldehyde (e.g. glues, adhesives, and coatings), benzene (e.g. cigarettes, gas), and other smelly gases)
2. HEPA (captures dust, smoke, pollen, and other allergens)
3. UV-C Light (destroys micro-organisms like germs, viruses, bacteria, and fungi (e.g. toxic mold))
It has a "replace filter" light and will last for ~6 months. Replacement filters are available on Amazon and will run you around $15. Air Purifier Replacement Filter - 3-in-1 True HEPA Filter Compatible with PureZone Air Purifier You should also remove and clean the top layer of the filter ("pre-filter") once a month by vacuuming it off (or if necessary, washing it with soap and water.)
The sound is just the most beautiful even hushed noise. It's almost non-existent on low, but ultimately a very peaceful subconscious white noise at any level. The air purifier has a brilliant night mode, in which it becomes even quieter (!) and extinguishes the UV-C Light (and the light of the buttons). The unit is designed so you can choose if you want the light off or the sound quieter... or any possible combination.
The unit comes with a timer function that allows it to run continuously, or for 2, 4, or 8 hours.
Lastly, I just wanted to mention that the Pure Enrichment customer service is well deserving of your trust. I haven't had any issues with this unit, but I've spoken with them on other occasions and am completely sold on the integrity, respectfulness, and congeniality of this company. They really make customer satisfaction a priority.
I wanted to wait on writing a review until I had actually had the chance to use it and compare the changes.
First some back story, My boyfriend has really severe seasonal outdoor allergies and is allergic to my cat. VERY ALLERGIC. Since the cat was here first though, the cat isn't going anywhere =^..^=. I just moved into my new apartment and I waited about a week before I brought my cat over. In that week my bf was over and he was mostly ok with his allergies. AS soon as I brought my cat and he was there for one day, the allergies began (thankfully the bf doesn't live with me). Now I am very clean person. I vacuum the carpet and furniture in every room everyday and wipe down all surfaces. My cat gets bathed 2-3 times a month and brushed daily with the hopes of keeping the pet dander and fur to a minimum. It just didn't seem to be enough though.
The cat was in the apartment for about a week before the unit arrive and within a week you could tell the apartment was starting to develop a 'smell'. It wasn't necessarily awful, but you could smell that people (my roommate and I, with guests and cat) were occupying the space. The smell of feet after a long days work would hit your nose as you entered (shoes are off at the entrance) and the range didn't do much for removing lingering food odors.
The unit has been running on high with the UV light on for about 2 weeks non stop and there has been a notably MASSIVE improvement in the entire apartment in smell and allergies. Before, my bf would walk in and within 5-10 min the allergy symptoms would start. The itchy watery eyes, sneezing, swelling of the nose and throat, mucus; the whole enchilada. Now he can comfortably be in my apartment for hours and not be completely miserable. He has even spent the night several times now! The first place I set the purifier in was the living room. Although its not recommended for that much square footage it really did make a difference. Within 2 days I noticed the smell of occupied space had completely disappeared. It was running on high for about 5 days before my bf mentioned there was a notable difference in air cleanliness in the living room. Afterwards, I moved it to my bedroom; as that's where the cat spends most of his days sleeping, and again within 2 days the air was pure enough for my boyfriend to be able to spend the night. I still vacuum everyday and wipe down all the surfaces to continue the reduction of allergens, but this air purifier has really been a godsend to him and the apartment.
I wont go into too much detail on how to use the machine, since there are plenty of other reviews that do. Once you slip the filter out of the plastic the magnetized lid pops back on and just plug n go. I love that the purifier has many different settings based on your needs, such as duration, speed, sleep and UV. The replacement filter reminder probably being one of my favs as I tend to forget everything. The low setting is insanely silent, the medium is but a whisper, and the high is a great low white noise or standard fan sound. The High setting really moves some air though. I opened the unit the other day to check the pre-filter and I was astounded by how much cat hair and my hair was stuck to it. I lightly vacuumed it and let the unit resume its duty. The unit is a perfect height (about 4 inches below the knee) and so aesthetically pleasing. It seamlessly blends into the apartment no matter where it is placed.
This air purifier works like a dream and I'm very happy with my purchase. The only complaint I have is that there isn't a larger sized unit approved for bigger square footages as I'll have to go with a different brand and do more research. Hope this review helps!
Love it. I looked at and read reviews on many brands of air purifiers. Each manufacturer had it's own way of presenting the same information- what kind of filters, how small the particles it captures, how much air flow, how big a room it will filter, how noisy or quiet they are, why you can't compare other brands to theirs, do they have wi-fi? Some say they're quiet, but don't list a decibel level.
In looking at all the different versions, I realized that it's basically a fan which moves the air through a filter and the filter captures junk from the air. The 3 in one filter is what will take out dust, tiny particles, and smells. So why do some models cost from $100- 600?.
I read the reviews for the PureZone 3 in 1 HEPA Air Purifier and was impressed with the following: within the first day of use people noticed breathing improvements, secondly, they described the sound as a pleasant noise. Third, the unit was well designed. I bought it from Amazon and I agree with all of the positive reviews.
I woke up feeling less scratchy throat. It is very quiet even on high. It is very well designed and very easy to change the filter. I also love the price. Be careful. Purifiers are kind of like ink-jet printers, they could give them away and still make money off the ink replacements. I saw some units replacement filters cost close to $100. The PureZone replacement filters cost $15 on Amazon. I'm going purchase another one for our living room.
Set up:
Before running the unit for the first time you have to open the unit
so that you can remove the filter from the plastic bag it's in.
You have to pull the top of the front of the unit outward and down a bit.
There are 2 magnets that hold the piece in place.
Then just remove the plastic bag and reinsert the filter. Then just plug it in and it's
ready to be used. Very easy.
How I use it:
I have a spare room that is used for house plants and some storage.
The plants are tropical and in the summer where I live it gets quite humid a lot of days.
The room really smells "planty".
I also have a cat with asthma and when he is in this room for longer than 10 minutes he starts
having asthma attacks.
Results:
After 48 hours of use the air smells a lot cleaner upon entry.
The cat with asthma has been in the room for over 45 minutes with no asthma problems.
That in itself makes this product amazing and completely worth the price.
Not to mention how clean the room smells now, and that along with all the other features is well worth it.
The unit is very quiet, it's hard to even hear it running on the low and medium setting.
On high it sounds like a very quiet pedestal fan.
There are quite a few settings.
There are 3 timer settings, you can chose to run the unit for 2, 4 or 8 hours,
then it will shut itself off.
The unit can run continously as well.
There is also a "sleep" mode, that is different from the "timer" mode, where the unit runs on it's most quiet mode and the indicator lights are shut off, so it's dark and quiet when you're sleeping.
I give the unit a 5 rating on a scale of 1-5.

What's in the Box
PureZone Air Purifier
3-in-1 True HEPA Air Filter
Current situation:
Right now it's sitting on a table in my room next to a window, running silently in the background. This thing is beautiful. It runs super well, is extremely easy to set up and makes me feel safer about staying somewhere with possible allergens. I have another fan on its lowest setting that's making much more white noise than the PureZone.
Unboxing:
It took me a bit to figure out how to actually get the filter out of its bag. You have to use some strength to pull the front panel off from the top (and not the bottom?). It might feel like you're damaging the product, but it'll come cleanly right off. From there it's just taking the bag off of the filter and putting it back in and the front panel back on. Plug it in and you're done.
Use:
The button system is intuitive and easy to understand, minimal packaging and documents make me think that the company is more environmentally conscious than some. UV-C and sleep mode are on the same button, timer can be turned off and on (2hr, 4hr, and 8hr). The three fan modes go from silent to slight whisper to wind tunnel. I use the middle one for some slight white noise when I sleep and the silent mode during the day.
Overall this product would be a great way to keep the air in your bedroom free from those pesky particles that make you retch when you wake up. Would definitely recommend also picking up a couple of spare filters, just in case. Plus, it looks amazing and ultramodern so nobody would question this on a table or in a corner.
I had been experiencing terrible allergy symptoms in an apartment that I have. I spend a portion of each month in that apartment and sleeping there was becoming a problem due to the respiratory symptoms that I would experience for days afterward. I researched air purifiers to come up with something functional, aesthetically pleasing and with a reasonable filter replacement cost. I believe this purifier satisfies all of those requirements.
It has a 3 stage filter (pre-filter, charcoal and HEPA) with the pre-filter being washable monthly and the entire filter unit replaced every 6 months at a cost of $19.99. That's high in comparison to the cost of the unit but low in overall cost annually and considering that many purifiers are in the 100s of dollars, I think this is of value.
Out of the box you need to take the front cover off of the unit and remove the plastic covering around the filter. Note there are pretty sketchy instructions on this so I'll spell it out to make this simple. The top of the front cover has 2 magnets inside and the bottom has 2 clips. All you do is just gently pull the top of the front cover forward to disengage the magnets and then lift the cover up to disengage the clips. The filter is sitting there in the unit within a plastic bag. Take off the bag, replace filter and front cover, turn it on and your done!
The unit has 3 speeds. The low setting is basically silent, medium I can barely hear when I'm sleeping and on high it sounds like you have a standard window fan running. It does have a sleep mode which runs on low and silent and turns off all lights. This unit has a UV bulb to kill bacteria, viruses, mold and fungi which throws off a soft blue glow onto the ceiling. I like it because it functions as a soft night light but some people wouldn't so they were thoughtful enough to allow you to turn it off or use sleep mode.
I feel much better after installing this unit and I am going to buy 2 more for our house now that I've tried it out in the apartment. I would highly recommend this purifier. I am not compensated in any way for this review and I did not receive a free or discount unit to write this review.
One last thing, the unit is not very small. It's difficult to tell in the pictures. Try to picture a good sized mail box turned on end and that's about the size. I have it next to the tv on the tv stand and it doesn't take up a lot of room but is about 2/3 the height of my 40 inch flatscreen. I hope this review helps anyone researching purifiers.
We have had this for a couple days and what a help this has been. We have at least 5 wildfires burning near us with unhealthful air for several weeks. If I stay indoors, I have stopped coughing, my eyes don't ache and I don't have a headache after using this. For being small, it has performed really well. Works perfectly at night in the bedroom and during the day I put in the kitchen and near the computer and it is wonderful. So worth the money. Only issue is that I ordered it overnight and had major trouble with the carrier. It did not come overnight and was a long story. Amazon of course refunded the shipping costs and made things right on their end, but the delivery carrier is really poor. That doesn't affect the quality of this terrific product.
I purchased the Pure Zone Air Purifier about 4 weeks ago. I have waited to review the product so that I can give an experienced review. I travel a lot and noticed that over the last few months, when I came home, I coughed horribly in the mornings and several times throughout the day. I was okay when I was away from home, so I decided to try the system based upon the Amazon reviews. After receiving the unit, I quickly set it up...running it continuously. I was so pleased, noticing that my coughing/congestion was significantly less each day. My husband doesn’t travel with me, and his coughing/congestion was much worse than mine; in fact, he has been to doctors off and on over the last couple of years and taken many lung tests to no avail. We concluded that it was probably side effects from his medications, because our home is very clean and less than 20 years old (so hopefully no mold or anything). I was so impressed with my results that I purchased one for my husband's main living area, also. I have seen a remarkable difference in both of our situations. I don't usually give reviews, but this is amazing. I wish I would have done this two years ago.
Pros: enjoying healthy air, quick setup, quiet system that can run continuously, long-lasting filter
One year later... two units have been working in two small bedrooms, collecting dust and other matters from the air. We mostly keep it at medium fan speed, which produces a quiet hum but strong enough to pull air. The evidence is the dust deposit collecting on the table surface near the unit, and the shelves across the room accumulate dust slower. Once in a while, to do some extra purging, we would turn them up to the highest fan speed with the rooms closed. It's louder and we do it when the rooms are unoccupied. I don't think it moves any air at the slowest/quietest fan speed, but the medium speed is sufficient for a small room (about 14 x 16).
The filters aren't cheap though, but I prolong them by periodically vacuuming (with a HEPA vacuum cleaner).
