Let me start off by saying we purchased this frame specifically because it was metal. As a military family we move often and we need furniture that is going to survive frequent moves and daily use. I wanted something durable yet easy to take apart and put together. This bed frame is it! Assembly took about an hour doing it by myself. The price is amazing for something that looks this nice, this easy to put together, and as well built. You really couldn't ask for more. I am extremely skeptical of buying furniture online as our last bedframe failed to hold up even a year but I am pleasantly surprised at how sturdy this frame is and based off some reviews I am worried about squeaking but I'll update my review if that does start happening. The bed frame was double packaged and well protected, everything was wrapped in plastic so there are no dents or dings during the unboxing. The instructions were easy to follow pictures and multiple warnings that any mistakes in assembly would result in the center piece being too short. All parts were labeled with a number and you put it together by sections 1-8 then attach the center support and done. My mattress is 10 inches and it comes right up to the bottom bar on the headboard. There's plenty of space underneath and only the center support so you could potentially store a lot of belongings underneath. I would purchase this again and I would recommend it to friends.
I'm not usually one to write reviews, but I have to praise the manufacturer for making the easiest assembly I've ever experienced. The instructions were very short, but they didn't need anything more than what was provided. Each piece is numbered corresponding to wear it connects to another piece. It was as easy as finding 1 and screwing it into the other part of the part labeled 1. The slats have velcro on them that attaches to the interior side bar of the frame to make sure they don't slide around (there is a slight bit of this happening with our slats on our Ikea frame). There are even double-sided tape pieces for the mattress itself to keep that from moving about. From the perspective of trying to make the bed, I didn't love the sticky tape, but since the mattress sits entirely atop the frame and not lowered within the frame, it's probably a good thing for keeping it in place.
We just moved and have SO much stuff to assemble and I was kind of dreading this bed, but wow. After, I listened to my fiance nearly lose his mind on a small piece from Ikea and again felt the gratitude for this bed frame.
Beyond the assembly, it arrived super quickly (thank heavens for Prime!!!), the box was in perfect condition and the frame itself is super sturdy. It looks great and I'm so excited for our guests to sleep over in it.
This bed is great for small apartments because it has a lot of storage space underneath. I was able to fit large checked-luggage sized bags underneath with no issues and plenty of room for other things as well. Metal frame and wood panels feel sturdy. I'm surprised the bed is this nice considering its low price.
I will update this review if any issues come up.
For $105, this is actually not bad. Looks nice and does the job. I put a low profile queen mattress on it and it's great.
I'm not giving it 5 stars though because some of the holes didn't line up. About 3 total, and it took some forcing to get the screws in. Now I have 3 stripped screws. They still went in, and there's 2 screws at every connection, so one is tight and one is loose at 3 connections. I'll have to see how that works out over time, but it all went together and is sturdy nonetheless.
Excellent frame for a guest bedroom, or light usage (like a child who doesn't jump on the bed, or if it's in a second home so you don't sleep on it all the time, or you're not too heavy and toss and turn a lot). In other words, under heavy usage I see this thing getting loose and rickety in 1-3 years, but for now it's sturdy and nice!
Lastly, SUPER easy to put together. They even give you a ratcheting allen wrench to make it easier!
Don't hesitate. Buy it.
Okay listen: I enjoy making fun little skits and videos of simple things and find a way to make them entertaining. So, I order this bed because I need a bed (shocker) and I also like the minimalistic feel of it and for sure dig the price. Well, I'm come home from work and the box is in my doorway. Takes me 20 minutes to drag this heavy thing into my house while trying to keep my dog inside. Well, I decide "hey, this thing is going to be a total pain in my you know what to build this thing. I should video different parts of this process and make light of how stupid and difficult it is to assemble this". Golden idea, right? Well, I open this box and it takes me a total of 4 minutes to lay out everything as the nice little picture tells you to. Then, I see an ACTUAL TOOL that you use to put everything together. Step one, you literally find the pieces that say 1 and join them. Step 2, guess what you find the pieces that say 2 and join them. This stuff is so incredibly simple. I get super frustrated because I have nothing to complain about. I'm almost through building the bed and my husband gets home from work. I say "Honey, this thing has been real hard but I'm kinda obsessed with it now and I want to finish on my own. Please, don't help me" (haha, he totally believes that I've been working on this for hours). I finish assembling the bed and a total of 29 minutes has went by!! I set it up in the room and it is beautiful. I needed no power tools, everything was simple to read and follow, and my husband thinks I really did a big chore by building our bed.
THEN, GET THIS!!! Zinus has the AUDACITY to send 3 little cards that they "suggest" you send to your friends. Yes, just 3 little greeting cards. So, I write my best friend a letter. She thinks I did this because I just randomly thought of it. She cries and tells me how awesome I am and we now are closer friends than previously.
Anyhow, this bed is great. The people who worked on this MUST be amazing. I am certain to remember this brand and next time I need something, I will be ordering from Zinus.
I've told like 18 people at my office about them and Marsha said she will order one if she decides against the water bed.
GO ZINUS. Thanks for my gorgeous-easy-to-assemble bed. You guys rock!

This bed is attractive, fits my minimalist, contemporary styling, and went together easily--even for one person working alone. The Allen screws went easily into the pre-threaded holes, and tighten well. There were even a couple spares, just in case. The only problem I had in the assembly phase was when I didn't have two pieces lined up just right. The screw stuck a little. Once I realigned, it went in with no problem. The screws stay tight (I just checked them--after 4 months, they're still snug.) No squeaking or other noises when I roll over, or get into/out of bed. Plenty of clearance under the bed (the cats like to hide there) and it's easy to vacuum under it pretty far. The bed is also light enough for me to move it around the room so I can rearrange furniture. This was one of the main reasons I chose this bed. (I did put furniture sliders under the 5* legs to facilitate that, and they're working well.) *There's a center support leg.
My only complaint--and the only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars--is the customer service. When I put the bed together, I measured 72" of Velcroed area on the side rails. The 12 slats that come with the bed (with the other half of the Velcro on them to prevent sliding) measure 33" of space. That left 39" of negative space, or in other words, space where your mattress ISN'T supported by anything. I was going with another memory foam mattress and I just didn't feel comfortable with that much UN-support...so I called and spoke to a very nice woman who told me all I had to do was email them and they would send me another set of slats. A few days after sending the email, I got a reply from a different woman who asked me to "send a photo of the broken slats" and they would send me a new set. I wrote back and explained that the slats weren't broken (the first woman understood that), and that I just wanted more support under the mattress. I even offered to pay for them. This reply is copied from their email: "We cannot send another set of slats as the frame is designed for the specific number of slats and spacing. The additional slats will not fit and any modification may void the warranty. We do not sell the parts as they are kept for warranty replacement."
OK. I'm no math whiz, but I still think that 33" will fit into a 39" space. I don't understand how that could "void the warranty," but hey, it's not my company and not my rules. Apparently. I didn't think it was an unreasonable request and, if it were my company, I'd do what I thought necessary to help a customer love the bed and respect the company. I like the bed. I just hope I never have to ask them for anything again.
This bed frame arrived in a tall, long package but not hard to move/lift. It's all metal except for the wood slats that support your mattress. I like this because my dogs have a bad habit of chewing the bed... I got a faux leather bed frame from Zinus before and my dogs did end up chewing it up (foot board area/corner). SO I am very happy that this bed frame will not be able to be destroyed by them. If you have dogs, esp. those that like to chew take note of that! This bed frame comes with all the things you need to assemble it (screws, tools, etc) and instructions. VERY easy to assemble. Can do it by yourself but a little easier if two people do it. It has a very nice, minimalistic look to it. The headboard is a little short (I am used to the headboard that comes with the faux leather bed frame set from Zinus). But it's fine. As for storage space, eh.. maybe smaller boxes like shoe boxes. My dogs like to crawl under my bed and sleep there some nights or to hide when momma is mad so... there's definitely storage space for that! (for size reference I have toy poodle that fits easily under there and a bloodhound that also can fit by crawling under and laying on his side). Overall I am very happy with my purchase. Oh, and the company includes this envelope with cute cards you can keep or send to others. Such a nice, personal, sweet touch. We need more caring, loving, thoughtful companies in the world we live in today. I will be keeping them on hand for when I need to send someone a thank you note or just to say "hello."
Queen. Great bed frame we bought it for our guest room. I waited a while before writing a review to make sure I like it. It is very quiet and sturdy. When we received it my husband and I panicked as the box was really heavy and there were a ton of parts but it was really easy to put together. Definitely have someone help as would be really difficult to on your own. We started putting the preliminary parts together in the living room then moved and finished it in the bedroom.
We also bought the mattress it is also really nice. It took time for it to expand and take shape. After sleeping on it a few times it has become very comfortable now I would like to buy a king for our bed.I would definitely recommend both products. I should have bought the full as I feel the queen is a bit large for the room, but that's my fault.
Amazing for the price and I am once again super grateful that Amazon is a thing. I purchased this with the 'Zinus Memory Foam 8 Inch Green Tea Mattress' for this bed frame and it is stupid comfortable. I just graduated from college and moved across the country so to be able to afford this set was such a stress relief as I was not going to have a bed in my new home. I was expecting to get an 'okay' rickety, plastic bed frame for the price but this thing is actually very sturdy and the metal exceeded my expectations. This is something that I would've expected to pay about $500 for.
I am also a bit of a style snob and I would say that this bed frame is quite attractive and versatile. It goes especially well with anything Mod!
I would recommend to anyone! Thanks Zinus and Amazon!
Bought one for a family member 2 years ago, still holds up, then i bought one for myself recently. so far it works fine. occasionally ill get a slight metal squeak sound. its really easy to assemble, it even comes with a hex shape ratcheted tool. Personally id prefer if they used standard bolts, or even regular screws instead of hex screws. Didnt seem to have any compatible bits in my ratchet set or drill set. The instructions are also very clear.
On another note, I'm now noticing that I also own several tables from this company as well. I notice they always do a good job in packing their furniture so its not beat up on the trip to your house
