I decided to try these over the Tide dye/perfume free pods. I had no issue with Tide, but always looking to save some money on the necessary evils of cleaning supplies. The Tide pods look like milk in color; these look like beer (or maybe urine? in color. The results of the pods are what is most important. I rarely use just cold water. Dress/Work clothes (business casual) are warm water/cold rinse, and most other stuff is hot water/cold rinse. So, the pods always melt for me completely. I've never had an issue with them not melting or clumping/clinging to clothes. The pods do a very good job of cleaning, and I have yet to see any type of color issues where some strong detergents will dull or reduce colors. I'm quite happy with these, and based upon price and quantity, I get about 2.5 months more cleaning per purchase over the Tide pods.
I've tried the ALL Free & Clear pacs before over the past couple of years and they just were not as good as the Tide Free & Gentle pods with regard to getting out the red mud and dirt from the horse barn. My socks and t-shirts always seemed cleaner with the Tide so that is what I've continued to use. I think the primary reason was the ALL pacs were a bit smaller than the Tide pods - not significantly, but a bit. So I checked again with this batch and these are bigger than before & about the same size as the Tide pods. I've included a photo of the two side by side. I also had some trouble with the ALL pacs not fully dissolving in cold water & gentle cycle loads and that's a problem I can live without.
I have done four loads of laundry with the ALL pacs. One in cold, one just blue jeans in warm, one load of dog bed covers in hot water, and a load of lingerie on the hand-wash gentle cycle. Every one of the ALL pacs dissolved entirely this time in each batch of laundry in all temperatures and cycles. I didn't find any little bits of melted, sticky plastic on any of my clothes or dog bed covers. Significant improvement! As far as skin irritation goes, I haven't had any redness or itchiness after wearing the clothes washed in the ALL, so it's definitely free of dyes and perfumes. (I am allergic to all sorts of the chemical scents in soaps) My one star deduction is because, once again, the ALL didn't quite get the red dirt out of white socks as well as the Tide does. I wear white socks with my barn shoes every day and every day they get a reddish ring around the ankle. The Tide gets 90 to 100% of that dirt out (so I know it can be done) and the ALL is getting 85% of it.
This a great deal for great detergent, here is why:
- my other half is a line cook but also has super sensitive skin. This detergent washes his clothes perfectly well on hot, and they also manage to get rid of the greasy kitchen smell even though they don’t have a fragrance.
- 2 little pacs for a full load are more than enough.
- great for all types of sensitive skin, even tiny babies. We wash all of our clothes with them and haven’t had any issues.
- much cheaper than Dreft for babies and just as good.
- great value for money
Great for the price. Two of these last me basically 6 months sometimes more, depending on how soiled or stained clothing is. I like that it's in bulk order and the tubs are much nicer than the bags which tend to tip over. I've done some price matching and compared to prices for the same size tubs in Michigan at local stores it's right at the same or a few cents cheaper per load. For me having it delivered to my door is a bonus because the tubs are quite heavy and I never like having to carry them in from my car. The post office lady even had a hard time lifting the box because I'd ordered 4 of the tubs (2 orders since they come 2 to an order).
I typically use the Tide Free and Clear pods, but when there's a sale, I'll pick up some of these All Pacs instead. I have allergies to most of the perfumes in laundry soap and the various softening chemicals in most of them. There's nothing worse that putting on a shirt and breaking out in hives. Thus far, the Tide and All clear detergents are safe and I've had no reaction from either.
These pods wash basic things with no problems and get the doggie scent out of their dog bed covers. I have not had any of these fail to fully dissolve in the washer after using half the bag. I do think that the Tide gets our socks cleaner and removes all of the horse barn grime from the ankles of my jeans. These All pods can leave a bit of red dirt residue behind now and then.

Product was as advertised. Very convenient, as these are bulky and large, it was great to have them delivered to the door as opposed to having to carry them home from the store. The 2 pack will last a long time and the price was very reasonable. The detergent itself works well and does not leave any heavy perfumes or smells on your clothes- which is great if you do have allergies or sensitivities. The "mighty pacs" are easy to use, eliminates the mess of traditional detergent, and is perfectly portioned so you use the right amount- this way you get your full money's worth from each container as opposed to guesswork.
Great product: good price, convenient, and cleans well. The pods keep me from wasting liquid detergent by improper measuring with the barely visible marks on detergent caps. The only downside I see is if I'm doing a small load, I use bottled liquid detergent because I imagine the pods would have too much detergent for a small load.
I wash with cold or cool water and have had no problem with the pod material not dissolving. I'm sticking with these from now on.
Best, best, best!!! My daughters and I have Eczema, allergies and one has asthma. Since using this along with dryer balls in the dryer instead of dryer sheets we no more rashes or irritation that always occurred with higher end detergents like Tide or even scented All. I sometimes add a few drops of essential oil to my wash if I feel like having something scented. The scent of this is non existent and that’s a great thing!!
We buy these frequently and use with our workout clothes since my skin is really sensitive when I sweat, and I don’t have any issues when using these. They clean our clothes well, even the stink gym clothes. They are very easy to use. We don’t notice any residue after.
Man who thought laundry soaps could really make a difference... First off... very convenient, no perfumes, clothes come out cleaner. A great detergent... This is now my go-to laundry detergent. I've used many different detergents and never noticed any difference in how clean my clothes were from one detergent to another. That has all changed... I wasn't intentionally looking to see if my clothes were cleaner.. it was blatantly obvious.. and I could in most cases generally care less... But what an obvious difference. I highly recommend this detergent. It is a great value also.. one pod for a regular load.. works super. Very cost effective ...
