Although I do wish I could recap after each use, this product has given me relief after six years of suffering. I had LASIK surgery and suffered with severe eye dryness ever since. Doctors prescribed meds, and I've used every eye drop I could think of. I even had all four of my eye drainages plugged but I still suffered. I also took excedrine and other OTC pain relievers which helped. After the 1st drop I felt instant relief...a feeling I haven't had in a long time. And it lasted more than 8 hours. Thank you for this product you gave me something that even my doctors couldn't give...and at an affordable price. Thank you thank you!
My husband has Age-Related Macular Degeneration and has had 4 injections into his eye. The injection is not painful, but afterward, his eyes burn for hours. He tried rinsing, etc. but could not get relief. After I read the positive comments, I ordered the Boiron Optique 1, 30 Doses. Yesterday he had another injection and used this Homeopathic Medicine with great success. Since the injections will be on-going, this product is a blessing for pain relief.
They are soothing. I'm not sure how effective these drops are for dry eye syndrome but if you have occasional eye soreness/tenderness/irritation/dryness, these are soothing and are safe. I recently had an episode of ocular migraine (wavy zig-zag lines in vision) and I applied these drops and my eyes felt much better within a few minutes. These are great drops to have in the medicine cabinet!
After the most thorough research and the most natural OTC eye rinse drops caused cornea blistering/redness/clogged eyes, this simple solution is a relief! No irritating preservatives needed for sterile individual servings of pure simple saline (with some infinitesimally tiny amounts of homeopathic ingredients too micro for a lab to measure, I don't buy for that). The 60-serving box is a significant savings. Boiron is a longtime quality name. Without this I'd suffer dry eyes.
Nice, non-irritating eyedrops. I was looking for another brand that were similar and these come close in terms of soothing my eye allergies without the irritating preservatives that usually make things worse.
I will usually use the first few drops to rinse my eyes then put a drop or two in and keep my eyes closed for a minute or two to let the liquid fully absorb. They've cleared up two bouts of allergic conjunctivitis so far. I'll order more soon.

Optique 1 eye drops work naturally with your body to temporarily relieve minor eye irritation due to fatigue or airborne irritants such as ragweed, other pollens and dust, and to soothe red, dry, itchy, gritty, burning or tired eyes. Optique 1 does not interact with other medications, and it is not contraindicated with pre-existing conditions. The eye drops do not contain vasoconstrictors or astringents. The sterile, single-use liquid doses are preservative-free and help to prevent contamination. Recommended for everyone ages two and up
I use these almost daily and have found them to be much better for my eyes than the regular drops with preservatives in them.
I think my eyes are sensitive to the chemicals in the regular drops, which made my dry eye problem worse.
I also am using the Renewelize Castor Oil drops to remove my eye makeup now to steer clear of the makeup remover with mineral oil (a petroleum by-product).
My lashes have grown back in now after using the oil for a few months too!!!
I love both products!
I love this stuff. In the past I used Bausch & Lomb eye rinse. I happened upon this @ the store and tried it and loved it. Way more gentler than the B & L from my perspective. Easy to apply, either sitting or lying down, and I don't get any slight eye sting as I did with B & L.
I really like the Similasan drops, but the opening on the dropper puts more into my eye than my eye can hold, so it drips down every time. These drops are almost as good, but much better in other ways such as being in disposable, single-use ampoules with a smaller opening that doesn't drop too much into your eye, and having a longer shelf life. The downside is that the ampoules contain too much for a single use, so there is a lot of waste.
Looking for a preservative free my daughter purchased a package with half the amount for much more at WF. I used them when visiting her and was very impressed (I also need to use preservative free in my eyes--and even if I did not NEED to I would WANT to). I used Refresh for years which are OK, but this is safer AND actually more REFRESHing when my eyes are dry or irritated. They are non-irritating and viscous enough for comfort but not so much that they affect my vision, which happens with a few brands.
Unlike Refresh, you can not recap these after opening. My opthamologist says you can continue using for a day after opening IF they are refrigerated, so I stand this up in a short glass that does not come up to the tip if I need to do that. They can become contaminated without our realizing with staph and strep and other baddies that are often on our eyelashes so it is important to discard immediately or refrigerate for continued use for just that day.
Very pleased with the price on Amazon.
No allergy eyedrop completely works for me but I always prefer to use natural and this one works as well or better than any others I have used over the years. They do 'help' with itchy eyes and are soothing. I do not mind the single use either because that's just the nature of single use! I am able to use it several times per day after it's opened if I am in a place where I can just leave it on a flat surface as it does not leak out. Without preservatives (which is best IMO) it's still good for a day or overnight. As far as expense, yes, single use containers are more expensive than a dropper bottle with preservatives but again, I feel worth it. The package is a one month supply if one uses one per day! I gave 4 star only because eye drops are not the end all for my pollen allergy but just one part. I also use a natural nasal spray several times a day and the neti pot if my symptoms are severe. Washing the pollen out of the nasal passages is key, at least for me.
