I have been a Vornado Fan fan for many, many years. I have one in every single room in the house. Obviously, the large rooms have full size fans. It is unreal that they can push air 80-90 feet. I purchased this new fan for one of the bathrooms. The AC vents in the two smaller bathrooms are very small. Once the door is closed, it tends to get warm. I had a midsize fan in place but it was just too big. I really wanted something smaller.
This fan is a perfect fit. It takes up very little room and still provides excellent air movement in a small room.

This is a small fan. It will not cool down a large family room. I would consider this a personal fan. It works in my setting. I can see it working at an office desk, crafting area, anywhere you just need more air movement. Please do not purchase this item and place it in a giant room and then complain about what a horrible fan it is.

I was looking for a small, no more 6 inches across, bedside table fan that wouldn't have too large a footprint, give off good air close to the face without being overwhelming, be easy to use, easy to clean, and have a cool vintage look. The Vornado Mini Classic checks all the boxes. You get two speeds, high and low, with an attractive vintage style power switch, which reminds me of when you play jacks. Very stylish green color. I got this for my wife. Envious, I want to get one for my side of the bed. Check out the size in scale to my wristwatch in photo.
I had to swallow hard to purchase this fan. At the time it was $40, and much more expensive than other desk fans. I really liked the design and read the user reviews, and decided to pull the trigger.
This fan exceeds my expectations. The retro design is extremely stylish, and it is compact enough to carry around my office when I go to my desk every day. The air flow is superb... I carry extra cushion for the pushin' and can get overheated pretty easily. Mostly, I turn this fan on low (two speeds) and it is more than enough to keep me cool. In fact, it does such a good job that often I have to turn the fan off for a little bit because I am getting too cool.
If you like the looks of this fan but are hesitating at the price, go for it - you will not be disappointed!
I really like this fan. It's aesthetically pleasing, does the job, appropriately quiet, and seems sturdy. I do think the price is kind of steep for what it is (if it was $10 cheaper, it would be an amazing deal), as you can get other decent similar-sized fans for around half the price, but it is nice to have for the hot weather and transfers well as you move (streamlined, classic design) or upgrade to different homes. It does have a 5-year warranty, which is nice in case it does break.
Update: On the higher speed setting, a rattling sound can be heard (and it's on a stable surface), I'm not sure why that is, and I've tried cleaning it. It's not super noticeable, but you can definitely hear it, and it can get annoying. For the higher price tag, I don't think it should be happening.
2nd Update: I contacted an Amazon representative technician for product support and described by issue. While the issue could not be resolved, a replacement fan was immediately sent to me, and this one seems to be working much better! No annoying rattling sound, so I guess the first one I got had some sort of defect. I'm very happy with my fan now!
This fan is a little bigger then expected, but not too big. I was looking for a new desk fan, and this came up in the search results. The price of $40 is a bit steep for such a small fan, but after receiving the item, i'm happy with my purchase. The entire fan casing is metal, not plastic. There is a low and high mode, both have a noticeable fan noise. I personally like the sound of a fan, so it doesn't bother me. The high mode is a bit loud, so far I've kept the fan on low and the air it blows is plenty cool. With this fan, the air is very direct and can still be felt at about 4ft away. The power cord is very long and has a built in fuse at the plug. The fan sits at about 8 1/2in tall so its not ideal to have in front of my monitors on my desk, I had to place it off to the side. My girlfriend liked it so much, so bought herself the Teal color fan with the solid base, for her desk.

This small fan was the perfect size to put on my vanity for the hot summer days when getting ready in the morning! Loved everything about this fan!
I’ve used a pedestal fan for years and years. When my wife and I moved in together she got used to my fan but didn’t love it. When we found out we were pregnant I knew that I didn’t need the whole room to feel my fan and most importantly, the footprint of a pedestal fan would be better used when the baby things were assembled. Enter tie little fan. It sits perfectly on my night stand and is pointed at my face. I love this fan. It appears to be a great quality, heavy but easy to travel with, sturdy, strong wind. If I’m holding the baby across the room and we’re hot, I can turn this fan on high and point it our direction and feel it working. I’m a believer. If it broke tomorrow I’d by another one and pay for 1 day shipping.
I'm not sure why Vornado went retro, but I bought five of these as gifts and every recipient has expressed excitement and gratitude. A best-selling New York Times author -- whom I shan't name for privacy concerns, but was in fact a TODAY Show book-of-the-month awardee who got into a spat with Katie Couric while live on air -- says she placed in it in her beloved, private writing space -- which, being in the South, is essential.
The whole new lineup of Vornadoes are gorgeous and have beautiful touch-button user interfaces. The old dial settings are now obsolete; although the vintage fans still have a single little switch on the back -- they went for total authenticity. The shade of green is timeless; in fact, our neighbor has a matching FIAT.
That said, attached to this review is a photo of our long-gone Harley Collie, claiming his spot directly upon the fan itself. (Old photo -- the new fans are now sleeker and have tiny buttons to set the speed; and Harley lived to be 15, which isn't bad for a Collie.)
(Note to manufacturer: an LED display would be awesome; I would like to set my fan at 2.2, not two, three or four, if I could. Also, I would like a remote. And finally, an app that lets me scale the fan speed up or down depending on how lazy I'm feeling from my supine position on the sofa.. I'd pay 20 percent more for these advancements; perhaps more if they're super intuitive and well-integrated into the design. I live in 130-year old house without air conditioning, so fans are our salvation during the warmer months. Focus-group me anytime. I've got a million ideas.

Good quality, all metal. It moves a lot of air for such a small fan. Noise is low but enough to help me sleep.
I searched extensively for the best space-saving fan for my bathroom. It gets humid in there after a shower and I absolutely hate sweating while I'm doing makeup, hair, etc. (I live in FL). I Googled info on the best desktop fans and one site had a list of 10, this one ranked well. It linked me to Amazon, and after seeing reviews I decided to buy. Bought cream color, which may be listed as Vintage White, but it's perfect. This is a sturdy mini fan, but not so mini as to not deliver for the purpose for which I bought it. Two speeds controlled with a switch that is long enough to be able to "feel" for it easily and without having to move the unit or bend over it, which I like. The head has a great tilt range to direct the air. The noise on either setting is not a bother unless you're specifically looking for a super-quiet fan. It's quiet enough. I love the classic styling. Happy with my purchase! And I can't wait to feel the relief of air on my face when I'm getting ready in the bathroom. Problem solved!
