These fans are amazing! The best box fan we have tried yet. We haven't found any on this site that match up. Even on the first and second setting they're much stronger than most other fans on full blast. They work so well that we bought two of them so we could cross the air streams and focus them on our bed. Be warned though, these are very loud! Though, that may be useful for some people. ;) We've had multiple occasioans where a roommate would be yelling my name from just outside the door and we would never hear it. Great fans for keeping cool and concealing loud acts.
So much power from this small fan! One minor complaint is that the included cable could be a little longer. The other is that this fan is so light that it has a tendency to blow itself away. Aside from that, it works great and I use it to ventilate my house through the back window.
I can't calculate how much air moves through this fan but seeing as how it literally blows itself over, I can only assume it is quite considerable.
This fan works really well, but it works so well, in fact, that it vibrates in place when it is set on a flat surface.
This causes the fan to move around slowly, and sometimes knock itself over.
Putting tape or something sticky on the bottom of the fan helps this (or just placing it on carpet). Other than that, I have no complaints.
My cat knocked it over and it fell on the floor and the fan blade piece popped off, but I just had to unscrew the front (six screws) and put the blade back on the fan spinning mechanism. Simple.
When this fan is on low it's stronger & louder than my roommates Lasko when it's on high. I also really dislike the nasty yellowing dust collector look white box fans get as they age, so this black fan is really nice! The black blends in much better with a room in my opinion and doesn't looks as "cheap" as having a white box fan in the window. My only complaint is that the controls are on the back side of the fan, not a huge deal.

This moves a lot of air. If you want to cycle air thru your house or suck all of the air from your house to the outside, just put this in a window, point it outside, and turn it on "high."
Seems well made for the money. Comes with instructions, but it's just one knob so it is simple to operate.
Biggest con: it's loud. If you seek a quiet fan, this is not it. Biggest pro: It is powerful.
I have had this for about 2 months so far.
Exactly as expected for a box fan. I use it semi regularly, and have had no issues so far.
Good airflow on all settings.
The frame is flat on the top/bottom/sides so you don't need the feet to keep it standing.
The switch and power cable are in the middle on the back.
The only potential problem I would have is that it seems slightly louder than normal. I have nothing I can directly compare it to, but I have a 11" Honeywell table fan, and a 12" rotating fan that are almost silent by comparison, even on the lowest setting.
Overall excellent so far
We bought this fan for our daughter. Everyone in our house sleeps with a fan and her old one broke. I ultimately chose this fan because of the price and brand name. We have one other Holmes fan in our house and it has lasted years and years. I checked all sorts of fans out and checked the local store. I chose to buy it on Amazon because the price was within a few dollars of the store cost and I didn't have to drive out of my way to get it. The only big difference we noticed from other box fans we have is that the cord was gray and the speed and off selector is on the back of the fan. That isn't a problem, we just thought they would make the cord and knob in black as well. We could easily put it in a window without the handle or knob in the way. Overall a good fan for the cost.
Do you hear a lot of reviews complaining about fan noise? That means the fan is working!! If you want a quite fan, go buy a $300 dyson! If you want a fan to cool the whole room for $20 bucks... This is for you!! I purchased one of these fans when visiting Hawaii, works great!!! When I got back home, I bought 2 more!!! few more of these I can build my own airplane to fly back to Hawaii.
I sleep to fan noise and most fans don't live up to my expectations however this fan does that and then sone! It's nice and loud and moves around a lot of air as well which will come in handy here in Georgia when it gets good and hot like always. I wouldn't recommend this can for someone looking for a quiet fan however if you like a strong fan for cooking your house or one a little loud to sleep to, then this fan is for you!
