When I first received the Swiffer WetJet mop, I was very disappointed with its performance. I was going to give it a poor review, and then I had an idea. I decided to switch the WetJet pads, that came with the mop, for another type of pad, and see if it would make a difference. I used a Shark steam/spray mop SaniFiber disposable pad instead. The difference was amazing! It wasn't the mop that was at fault, it was the cleaning pad! With the SaniFiber pad, it was so much easier to clean the floor, and the pad fit the Swiffer WetJet perfectly! I was lucky to have a box left of the pads when I stopped using the Shark mop. From now on, I will only use them with the Swiffer mop. It works really well that way.
I really love my swiffer wetjet. I'm so happy I got it. The only thing I don't like is the lack of options in obtaining other kinds of pads and other kinds of spray outside of swiffer wetjet since the sprays and pads are pretty expensive. That's the only reason I gave it a 4 star rating. I read a couple reviews however, that people were able to take off the cap, but as others have mentioned the cap is pretty hard-on (lol) so it's not very easy to remove. I haven't tried out purchasing my own velcro and attaching other pads to it yet, I may try that option out in the future if it turns out to be a good one (kind of nervous in making the bottom of my swiffer sticky if I'm forced to take off bought velcro that didn't work). In any case, I should mention what did work for me in replacing the liquid in the bottle without having to go through the pain of trying to remove the cap. What I did was I took a large pair of scissors and bored a hole through the center of the bottom of the bottle by twisting the scissors into the bottom of the bottle like a screw. Once the hole is relatively big enough to pour liquid into. The hole I created was about the size of a dime in diameter. Rinse the bottle inside with water until the previous contents are completely removed and then pour your liquid into it -- make sure that if you're pouring lets say a mix of detergent and water, make sure to mix the detergent and water in a separate container prior to pouring into the bottle because detergent is generally heavier than water and can cause the inlets to clog. Just to be safe, once you pour your liquid mixture, shake it to make sure it's well mixed. Then place a cork to close the hole. Then pop it right back into the swiffer. It worked perfectly with no issues. To avoid contaminating your inlets with another liquid (in case you're concerned about potential clogging, I would save two swiffer bottles, use one for general refilling and cleaning, and the other I would fill with just water to clean out the nozzles when I finish cleaning with the other bottle. Just replace one with the other when done cleaning, and do 2-3 squirts and you should be fine. This way, you'll never have an issue with the nozzle ever clogging up. Hope that helps! Enjoy your swiffing.
Seems better than before. Ordered this one to replace my earlier model wet jet that broke below the handle. (After 3 or so years of weekly use).
This upgrade seems like it's built a little better, but may still snapbwith stress below the handle. However, knowing it's weak spot now, I'll be sure to not put as much stress on that spot.
WetJet is great for both mopping the entire floor or just doing a little touch up (you know, when the grandkids come over and there is Freezer Pop drips all over the place). Mop is easy to assemble. Just remove all contents from the box. You assemble the handle by pulling on the ends of the two sections, which stretches an elastic band inside the handle, and make sure the two little buttons click into place. You then insert the handle into the mop head, and make sure the two buttons click. Push on the white button on the mop head to remove the battery holder. Insert the 4 batteries that are PROVIDED with the mop, and slide the battery holder back into place. Remove the protective plastic from the cleaning fluid bottle, and push it into place on the top of the mop head. Apply a cleaning pad to the mop head, and you are ready to clean up. Takes only a few minutes to assemble.
Only downside: the WetJet box was packed inside a cardboard box, which was then put in an Amazon box. What a waste of resources!
I really like this unit. It seems well built, and works as expected. I just wish it was rechargable, or could even use rechargable batteries, which it states in the instructions to not use. Although it works for a long time with fresh batteries, one always has battery replacement, and creating more non-recyclable trash, as a constant issue. Great idea, but not implemented in the best possible way.

Description
Swiffer WetJet Floor Spray Mop gives you a great clean on virtually any floor in your home. With a unique dual-nozzle sprayer, this all-in-one mopping system breaks up and dissolves tough messes for a powerful clean. Its cleaning solution loosens dirt and lifts it off the floor, pulling dirt and grime into the WetJet pad and locking it away for good.
When my old Swiffer died, I ordered another one, not realizing that it is different than the original - in a good way. This version features batteries in the front, and a slightly more attractive body (not that you really care when you are cleaning). Rather than the old push level on top of the bottle to release it, there is a button on the back to release it. I don't know that it necessarily cleans better because you are still using the same type of pads, but I feel like the batteries give it a little more juice (literally and figuratively). This is just for daily cleaning. For hard-stuck spots, this is not going to get them up- I still need to scrub - but for quick jobs, this does the trick.
I read a few bad reviews and was hesitant on buying this but I am glad I did. I like it much better than any steam mop even. Just spray and wipe. Simple and easy! Was easy to put together as well. Batteries seem to last awhile too. I haven't tried refilling it yet, I read reviews saying you can refill the bottle yourself by boiling the cap off, but I have yet to run out of the liquid cleaner. It seems to last a good amount of time. I saw replacements on sale often as well and coupons so I am not sure if I will try prying the top off to refill with my own cleaner or just buy a replacement, but it's good to know there's an option (a DIY one haha)
I have a toddler, a dog, three cats, and a mechanic for a husband. As you can imagine my floors can get dirty quickly.
I really like the premoistened mop pads but I have to go through at least three to mop my house. Before I use the WetJet, I sweep with a broom and then the dry sweeping pads (there's a lot of fur) before I even break out the mop.
The unit is light to use, and is simple in concept. The pad shows dirt when I turn it over, and I only have to use one as white is still showing. However, the solution that came with the unit leaves my floors streaky. Clean, but still streaky.
I like this product. It buffs out scuff marks, and really does disolve dirt. I just wish it wasn't as streaky.
Yes, it did a great job on the floors and was what I had been looking for. The only reason I didn't give it a five star rating was because of the smell of the cleaner. I found it offensive and had to open the windows on a cold day to get rid of it. When I read the reviews I saw some people had also mentioned it but I am not usually affected by such things. And a few people said they thought it had a clean, refreshing smell so I decided to try it. So if you are one of those people with sensitive noses I don't think this is for you. The cleaner did an amazing job so you need to balance one against the other.
We just moved to a place with laminate flooring and we purchased this. After using it once, we were surprised how much grime was on the floor (moving boxes, etc. had tracked a lot of dirt in the house) but it picked up a LOT of dirt and dust and it's easy to use. I've used this product in the past and it doesn't disappoint for an alternative to mopping with a traditional mop head and bucket.
