These work great to keep the air clear of allergens in my Hamilton Beach TrueAir unit. The unit itself works great and is pretty quiet when running in the background. The only time that I ever notice it making a sound is when I have to do a quick intense clean on the high end setting once in awhile. Most of the times I have to lean in close to see if the unit is making a sound when turned on because it's just that quiet when in use. I enjoy the feature that these filters come with a small time release tab to track how long it's been since the filter has last been changed. With a busy schedule, the last time I changed an air filter is one of the last things on my mind. Since it's a good visual reminder that I see when I'm turning on the unit itself, I find it's best to time the changing of all filters for that 30-day period to this to be consistent at keeping the air quality in the home clean. For the price of just under $10 for a 3-pack, this is a good deal to ensure you have a three month supply on hand. Plus with the helpful time released tab, it's easy to plan ahead future orders so that you're never buying filters any sooner than needed and never finding yourself without when it's time to change one.
You can use these Carbon filters with the Hamilton Beach 04383A True Air Allergen-Reducing Air Cleaner. On the picture I've attached you just have to place them in front of the standard filter. This is after 3 months (suggested use) in the laundry room where I have two litter boxes. I leave it on 24/7 and obviously it is picking up dust/dander from the room. I would say odor has toned down and I always ask guest if the house smells like cats (it used to) and they say no. When I am changing out litter I turn the Cleaner on High for about 30 minutes and then move it back to the medium setting.
The package comes with 3 filters so you end up with 1 and not a pair.
These filters work with the plug-in system I’m using in my small bathroom. As a disclaimer, that’s also where I keep my litterbox. I use it to try and mitigate the odor and dust. You can definitely hear the system if you’re close to the bathroom, but not from a distance.
My only issue with the filters is the pop button that tells you when you should replace them. It’s not really based on usage, but on a date. I’m not running the system 24/7, but once you pop the seal it continuously fills the front and will tell you to replace the filter much sooner than needed (based on usage).
I wish it had come with some instructions so I knew which direction to face the filter (blue or black side). I found it in asked questions in here, so I’m assuming many had the same issue. Otherwise, I like it and will see if it helps eliminate my stink dogs odor from the house :)
I've read all the reviews and see they either work or don't. With that said, I own the Hamilton Beach unit the small squared one in my bedroom. These filters are the right size and I use all 3 filters at the same time. I kept the black ones that came with the unit, cleaned them and put them aside. I wanted to try these new filters with the Febreeze Lavender scent. It's been a few weeks now and I'm still waiting to smell the Febreeze scent...still waiting... Clearly, the only scent I smell is the one coming from when I burn my scented candles. I gave it four stars mainly because it works with the dust control as it should and the filters do fit and work, I just don't smell any Febreeze scent coming from the filter. I think next time I'll just buy regular filters, and they may be cheaper. Either way, I hope you guys find the filters you need for the units you have. Good luck.

Description
Hamilton Beach True Air Replacement Carbon Filter 3 Pack
I bought these for Model number 04530GM.
They fit, and they work well. I have two cat boxes right at our back door, so when you come inside that way, you can smell them immediately when the air purifier isn't running. It's not magic. If the litter box isn't clean, this filter doesn't fool anyone. But if you keep the litter clean, everything smells clean - no cat smell, no litter smell.
I wanted to give this product 5 stars for effectiveness, easy to change filters, compact size, very, very quiet operation but I give it a 4 star because the filters are different from the 1st 2 sets purchased previously. This last set does not have a black filter on one side; instead, it has some kind of rock like substance encased in the filter. The filters looked used. I am hoping this is not the case.
Use in laundry room with litter boxes. Does well with the odor but only for about half the time it says. I have the larger unit and it becomes super covered in dust about every two weeks so I vacuum them off. This may effect the carbon a little bit.
These are great replacements for my air filter. I keep it next to my cats litter box and it helps a lot.
I have indoor house rabbits, and if you have rabbits in your home, you know that there is often a "barn smell" that is impossible to get rid or hide. No matter how clean I keep their litterbox, there is always at least the smell of hay and woodpellets. This filter actually gets rid of almost all of the smell! I've had rabbits for 9 years now and wish I had known about these earlier.
With rabbits the extra dust from the hay and dander seems to use up the filters much faster than 90 days, I usually change them every 45-60 days. For me I don't mind needing to buy filters more often, as it's a miracle that my house doesn't smell like a barn anymore. Pricey but definitely worth it!
