There is a button that looks like documents. Not sure what it does. I didn't read the manual. Maybe it's some sort of reset for the filter?
Pros:

Speed 1 is super quiet
Speed 2 is around the noise level of a fridge
Speed 3 might be a bit loud for you, but around the same noise level of a normal fan
- Clean air! I've woken up feeling great since we've had it!
- Very sensitive buttons
- Only have to change the filter 6-12 months
- Easy setup, just remove the bag on the filter
Cons:
- Clicking a button has a high pitched noise that you can't mute
- Speed 3 may be a bit loud for you
- Sensitive buttons may be annoying for you, I accidentally hit the off button all the time
I foster kittens for a rescue, and no matter how often I clean the boxes, 2 or 3 times daily, and general cleaning, I still have an odor in the room. I got this product out of desperation. It was a good size and weight for kitties bouncing around. I am truly shocked and enormously happy with how it works! My husband was at wits' end with his sensitive nose. He goes in there now and is astonished, no smell. We are getting another for the kitchen! The room is 10×10, and I use it one the 2 setting. I also enjoy the nitelight. Very helpful without disturbing sick sleepy babies recovering from illness.
I bought this item to help with the pet odor from the room my ferret is in. It has done nothing to eliminate or reduce the smell and I clean his room/cage twice a day. I thought maybe it would take a few days to completely air out. After a couple days of running this, now a I get tis burning smell coming from it and I can't figure out why. I checked the filter and the rest of the unit, nothing seems to be out of order but the distinct burning smell coming from it made me stop using it. I don't want my pet breathing that smell in...especially since I have no idea what it is coming from. Too much of a hassle to send back and I already got rid of the box. But I am pissed that I opted for this brand considering I never heard of it before vs a brand I knew. Now I have to buy another one.

I got this a few weeks ago for my bedroom. The air has been super dusty ever since a massive cleaning sent dust flying from every hard to reach book and cranny. While reading the setup guide. I saw that it couldn’t go within 15” of an obstruction on any side. I decided to place it near my laundry hamper and bedroom door.
Within a day I noticed that my room smelled much better (I had apparently gone nose blind to the laundry smell) but the air quality wasn’t any better. In fact, dust seemed like it was floating around more than ever. In the next few weeks I noticed if I brought a cup of water to my room, within a few hours it would get little dust floaters coating the top of the cup.
I saw a picture of someone else’s review that put the filter on top of a tall piece of furniture. Yesterday, I decided to try that-maybe it would help. Immediately, I noticed things were way worse. I could barely breathe, coughing and choking on all the dust flying through the air.
So I sat and thought about it-why is this happening?? If the filter made the smell go away then why is it making the dust worse??? Then it clicked, the dust was getting sucked through the air to the filter, flying around everywhere, before the filter would even get a chance to clean it out.
I investigated, where was the dust doming from, and it occurred to me, the supply air duct. Sure enough, once I took the vent off I could see a pile of dust or dirt and grime at the bottom of the vent. I cleaned the vent out as best I could, and moved the filter next to the vent.
This morning I woke up with no dust floaters in my water cup and the air feels easier to breathe. My next step if I still have problems will be to get the air ducts in the house professionally cleaned.
I got this for my baby registry and subscribed to get the filters every six months.
PROS:
1. It's small enough to be out of the way but large enough to make a difference in the air quality. Especially valuable since we live near two highways.
2. Quiet but enough of a hum to be a white noise machine
3. Doesn't cost an arm and a leg. If you have a three bedroom and you get one for each room it would probably cost as much as a good high end purifier.
CONS:
1. Night light is blue. Blue light actually inhibits sleep.
2. Sometimes the buttons freeze and are not responsive. It needs to be unplugged and replugged a few times.
3. Can only filter one room. The directions said it can clear cooking smells too but I haven't found that to be the case.
Generally pretty good. Would buy again.

I've had this purifier for 5 days and can already tell a huge difference in my allergy and sinus issues. My right nostril is constantly clogged and by the second day of running this I could finally breathe thru both nostrils upon waking! There is a noticeable difference in the air when I walk into my bedroom where I keep the levoit filter from the rest of my home. No more musty smell. If you have any sort of allergy or breathing problem I highly recommend this. I bought this for my daughter to use. She had recently moved and was having to keep the cat's litter box in her bedroom, and even with cleaning it every day she was having issues with smell. I sent this to her and she claims it works miracles. She no longer smells litter box in her room!
I did a ton of research on air purifiers before making this purchase and I am thoroughly impressed with this one! It’s got the pre filter, active carbon and True HEPA filter which is one of the best setups that removes pollution, VOCs, smells and allergins. This thing actually works! Please see my photos where I tested the air before and after with my air quality monitor. Also, it is relatively quiet and doesn’t bother my girlfriend or I at all when running it at night while we are sleeping. I highly recommend this product to anyone looking to purify the air in smaller rooms/bedrooms. Look no further, this is the beat compact air purifier!
Would give it 5 stars except - and you should note- that this unit MUST be kept 15 inches AWAY from everything - so you can't put it close to a wall & just forget it as "advertised". Mine has to be plugged into a kitchen socket to achieve these needs, so only can run it at night. UPDATE 3/4/2019. Have Had this now about a year, still runs okay, needs a new filter every 6 months or so. Runs quiet at night. First night you won't notice much difference, but by end of second night you really DO feel a difference. Air in room seems "cleaner", my allergies cut back to minimal and also my asthma! I - in retrospect and after a year+ use- WOULD RECOMMEND THIS.
