While some who purchased this product received two chalkboards to a pack, I received only one. However, I was pleased to find that both sides have a chalkboard surface, so if you want something more permanent on one or both sides, you can just flip the board over.
It is important to note that, as with all new chalkboards, you MUST season it first. Simply cover the board as thoroughly as you can with white chalk, and then erase it with a dry or damp cloth.This makes the board more thoroughly and easily erasable with future use.
This 8x10 chalkboard is a nice little project for children. They can paint the wooden frame or decorate it in any way that appeals to them. Stickers of any kind can make decorating the frame fun for even very young children. After decorating the frame, your child can display his chalk masterpieces with any inexpensive easel-type stand. The board can be used with chalk or chalk markers.
The price for the chalkboard at the time of this review make it both fun and affordable.
I bought 7 of these to make signs for my wedding. I was concerned when I saw all the bad reviews, but I'm glad that I went ahead and bought them anyway. They arrived in mostly-good shape. There were a few small (barely noticeable) scratches, and one of the frames did come apart a little, but it was an easy fix with some glue. I get why some other customers complained, but honestly, you get what you pay for. These are really cheap, so don't expect them to be the best or strongest chalkboard ever, but they're not worthless. Double-sided, liquid chalk works great on them, and if you stain the wood they look amazing.
My kids loved using these to scribble with their chalk on our deck. Not a lot of sidewalk at our house so this is a great way for them to play with chalk on our deck. Will be ordering more for when friends come over.
Perfect size! I have already used this half a dozen times in photoshoots! It's great, and I love that I can wash it clean and use again for later shoots! I think I will consider buying a few more and paining the outside of them for a variety of color chalkboards! The price was right and the size looked great in the pictures.
Perfect size for my daughter's Sweet 16 candy bar sign. I free handed the board with chalk markers (Amazon Choice VersaChalk). Nicely made. Chalk board on both sides but I purchased a self sticking easel back to hold it upright.

I bought these to go on my pantry and laundry room doors. I used a liquid chalk marker as I wanted it to look crisp and not be able to rub off when bumped. It is double sided which is great so I plan on using the other sides for fun holiday messages when the seasons change. The wood is unfinished so that could be painted or stained to match the area you put it in as well.
I tried using chalkboard markers with these and it didn't go great. Lots of scrubbing to get it off. It is cute though!
Very simple but so affordable and works just as I need it to. Perfect size to display prices. Wipes down easily too. I use regular colored chalk on it.

I took this , seasoned it properly, and personalized it with stickers along the edges, and children's blocks glued to the top that spelled out the new baby's name. Mom and dad really liked it.
