According to some folks, the supplier changed from sawtooth hangers to wire hangers somewhere along the way, and they aren't happy about it.
However, I purposely purchased these because they come with wire, rather than cheap sawtooth hangers found everywhere else. I consider this an upgrade. You cannot purchase wire hanging frames of this quality at this price point anywhere that I have found. As a professional photographer needing good quality, glass front, wire hung frames for certain presentations, these are fantastic.
The clips slip over the backer board, and you slide them to whatever height you find appropriate (usually a few inches down from the top). Run the wire through one clip with an inch or two of excess and twist like a bread bag tie to secure. Run over to the other clip and cut the wire to appropriate length, again with a bit extra for twisting. That's it!
The clips sometimes are a tad loose and might slide on the backer, so just give them a squeeze before applying. This is something I do by default as a matter of safety anyway. "Trust no one".
I give these 5 stars. I considered docking a half star because the wire is more like green floral wire - it's quite stiff and a bit difficult to work with. It's not a true, flexible, braided picture wire. But again at this price point and quality I'm not going to quibble.
Incredible quality for the price. Okay, so, I tend to leave things a bit late. I have an art show coming up and of course I waited too long and none of my local frame shops could help me, so I ordered 30 of these frames, expecting them to be low quality, but I needed SOMETHING.
They are awesome. They came packed so well that not a single one out of the 30 were damaged, at all. Nice styrofoam, lots of air packs. The frames are great quality, the glass is sturdy and after a bit of a cleanup, shows very nicely. The best part was the hanging hardware. Since no gallery will accept sawtooth hangers (MUST BE WIRE) these came with the easiest wire hanging kits I've ever seen. Saved my butt and my art show.
Great looking, classic black frame. Mat opening for 8x12 measures about 1/16" under 7.5" x 11.5" in both dimensions. Backing board is held in with little bent metal tabs and on the frame I received they were not arranged evenly around the frame. I doubt the tabs will stand up to more than a few bends back and forth. I bent them twice and they already feel like they could break off. Also, the frame comes with two clips that grab onto the backing board rather than clip onto the frame. I'd rather hang it by the frame rather than the backing board which is held in with those flimsy tabs.
Very solid picture frames, however, the rectangular opening on the mat is more like 4.5"x6.5" so it doesn't fit a 5"x7" perfectly. I'll admit I've never used a mat like this before, so maybe that's how they're supposed to be designed, but I found it a little frustrating that some of the picture would be cut off if you put the mat in front of the picture, and it was a hard to get the picture perfectly centered if you put the picture in front of the mat. All in all, I'm pleased though.
I have two young girls and was looking for ways to display their many drawings and encourage their artistic pride. I purchased one of these products during a lightning sale and loved it so much, I came back and bought two more at regular price. I've set up little art display over their desk and they are so proud to see their work. It is super easy to change out the back so we rotate art drawings through it. We've received a lot of compliments when friends come over and people love the idea.
I am a professional photographer and I have a bit of a photo frame obsession. I actually prefer the look of these over the high end ones I use for my clients, but I'll have to watch to see how durable it is since I just purchased these.

The frame and mat are exactly as described and the beveled cuts of the mat are perfect. The material is sturdy and the glass is clean. The back board has metal clips that slide into notches in the frame to fasten it in place. The clips are only on three sides. The fourth side of the frame has a groove it's entire length so you insert the back board into that slot, lower the board, then swivel the clips into place. it's a great design because it holds the backboard tight against the mat, clamping the photo in between. The quality of the materials is high.
That said, I encountered one problem. The frame is assembled from 4 pieces, joined at mitered ends. One of my large frames (sized for an 8x10 w/ mat) was simply not fastened at one corner. The frame was sent beautifully padded in bubble wrap and the box was undamaged. I didn't feel like returning it because there were no cracks and the glass wasn't damaged and I was giving a framed photo to my wife as a gift two days later. I clamped the frame and drilled a small hole through both pieces and drove a very fine finishing nail in with some glue and it's perfect. The vendor AMFLAT sent me several appropriate emails letting me know the product had shipped and then asking how i liked the product and asked if there were any issues but I never gave them an opportunity to replace it. Based on their eager communications and what seemed to be great customer service I have to imagine they would've replaced it immediately but I have no idea. For me it was a very minor inconvenience. I actually like this product so much that I'll absolutely continue to buy all my frames from them for quite a while.
This frame exceeded my expectations.
I bought it for a painting my nephew did, thinking I'd have to buy separate mat cut to a specific size because the painting was about an inch wider. But as long as I had it opened up I decided to see what the painting looked like with the pre-cut mat, and it looked great! A fantastic deal for less than 20 bucks!

the craftsmanship is superb; the black finish is durable and very even, polished to a light sheen and the corner miters are perfect.
we are using them together on a table top with some nice, heavy duty, polished "dark bronze-like" easels; Fetco Home Décor Celia Frame, Tabletop Easel
as we have two(2) 8"x11" Russell prints, of which one print is portrait and one print is landscape. we wanted them staged together in the same frame. therefore, we matted them each 11" just on two(2) sides with mats from a professional quality 10 pack of 11x14 (framed for 8x10 photos or art) mats; Mat Board Center, Pack of 10 11x14 MIXED COLORS White Core Picture Mats for 8x10 Photos we placed the prints in front of the mat, rather than the standard "mat over art" and this enabled us to keep with the same frame for continuity, as they are both staged together on a tabletop. since we were orienting the mat "under the art", we were not required to do any cutting of the mat, as it was just covered by the 8x11 print...
... this mat pack contained professional grade mats and a great selection of colors... it was easy to find a color that worked quite well with each Russell print, but still kept continuity between them... they are staged about two(2) feet apart and we are quite pleased with how much they complement eachother thanks to these frames, the mats, and the easels. The frame is very nice and it comes with not only a very beautiful and well made bevelled mat, but also wire and gadgets for hanging. BUT, the only reason I can't give this frame five stars is because the glass had some kind of greasy schmutz on both sides, that took me forever to clean and polish properly. Not even Windex would clean off whatever it was. Anyway I finally got the glass nice and clean and having done that, it's now a very beautiful frame.
By the way, some reviewers noted that the hanging clips slide up and down the frame. That's true, but I easily solved this by sticking a tiny piece of Scotch double-sided sticky foam tape to the edge of the frame first, then pushing the clip on over the tape. Worked perfectly.
I recently bought a dozen of the larger frames to display art work and found them to be well made, safely packaged, easy to use and promptly delivered. So I bought more at the 8x10 size. Only small complaint is that the larger frames had proper wire hangers which work well. The smaller size has a hook-on hanger that is not well thought through. It doesn't work easily or securely. Fortunately I had some wire left over from the larger frames and used that with a staple gun to secure it. The finish is good and they look fine on my wall.
