Colgate Extra Clean Full Head Toothbrush, Medium - 6 Count

Colgate Extra Clean Full Head Toothbrush, Medium - 6 Count

As the manufacturer states in one of the answers above (re softness), these six brushes are of "standard" softness. Over the years, out of curiosity, I've tried medium and even hard (which is really awful for enamel) and these are actually just right: Not so soft that you're replacing every week or two, but not so hard that you're defying the one rule every dentist I've ever known has stated: soft brushes only--of any make with any bells, whistles and gongs that make you happy! I've read more than once that it's good to replace your toothbrush every month or so because of wear, bacteria.... And at this price, why wouldn't you? As for the ergonomics of the handle, brushes, etc., keep in mind that everyone has different teeth, mouth-size, hand and finger size--so for heaven's sake, if you want customized toothbrushes then get out the wallet and hire someone to engineer one just for you! Last, I might sound like a shill for the manufacturer, but I'm just buying another new pack and I saw a lot of whiny complaints about fifty-cent toothbrushes and couldn't resist whining back. They're cheap, soft enough, so move on and go crab about one of the other fifty things you buy here--if you haven't already.

Why was it hard to find cheap toothbrushes on Amazon? I can walk into Aldi and buy cheap toothbrushes, but I don't want to go to Aldi for toothbrushes. These are the least luxurious toothbrushes I found on Amazon. The only thing they're good for is brushing your teeth. 5-stars for the only toothbrush on Amazon without doctor-recommended multi-function ADA-certified waveform-generated tongue scrubbers.

We have been using these for a while and they seem to be good toothbrushes for the price. We have added this to our "Subscribe and Save" list to save some additional money. A new pack shows up every few months and also helps remind us to change them out. There are a few things to be aware of with these though before you buy:

1 - These are listed as a soft toothbrush, but they are not your typical "soft". When we first got these my wife asked if I would change the order to soft, she thought they felt more like medium bristles.

2- The handle is skinny and to me feels a little off when using it.

These are very basic toothbrushes, they do a good job though and we continue to use them because of price and convenience with the subscription program.

Nice size, easy to reach back teeth. I actually really like the smaller "flimsier" feeling handle that some others complain about: makes it easier to maneuver. SOFT. (I wonder if there was a factory packaging error because some of the reviews mention these being very firm, but ours are actually softer than most of our other soft toothbrushes.) Not the best, but my favorites are hard to find, so I'm happy with this as a backup.

We had been buying Oral B branded toothbrushes from CostCo for years, but their quality has gone down so much over the years (the brush lose its shape and even individual bristles fall out) and their cost keeps inching up that it sent us on a search for something better.

These are the answer! Cheap, durable, easy to grip, and stream-lined.

The last point is kind of interesting. So many toothbrushes keep getting more bulky with each passing year -- their handles are thicker with special grips, etc. All in all, many toothbrushes are getting too "big". These fight that trend and remain compact. Much easier to travel with and actually nicer to use day-to-day.

Highly recommended.

Colgate Extra Clean Full Head Medium Toothbrush is designed with circular power bristles to help remove tooth stains. Its cleaning tip bristles effectively reach and clean back teeth and between teeth. This manual toothbrush also has an easy-to-grip handle to provide comfort and control while brushing. Remember to change your toothbrush every 3 months

Very soft bristles, and a very small head. Perfect for kids, or spares for guests. Once we open the pack we put the remaining brushes in a large Ziploc freezer bag to keep them hygienic, & clean until needed.

We DO recommend buying for kids, or as spares for the occasional guest who forgets their toothbrush.

Hope our review was helpful!

These toothbrushes are a lot better than I had anticipated they would be based on their price. The bristles were soft on my gums and were able to get in between all my teeth, even the hard to reach ones all the way in the back. The handle fits perfectly in my hand while I am brushing and the variety in color helps me to remember which tooth brush is whose. My kids also like these because of the ability to choose a color. They usually have a difficult time reaching their teeth in the back and try to spend the least amount of time brushing because the bristles are usually too hard for them, but since using these tooth brushes I have noticed them spending more time. Overall, great purchase and would definitely be using these again.

Colgate 6 pack of toothbrush, I love being able to get a large pack of toothbrushes online and not having to worry about it again for a while. The price was excellent as well and you can not beat having it delivered to your front door. The full head and differently angled bristles make for a better clean. I also like that they have the different colors in the pack making it easy to remember whose is whose. So there is never a mix up. The grip on this model of toothbrush is also very nice and makes for a comfortable handle while brushing. They are basic but what more do you need in a toothbrush really.

I buy these Colgate toothbrushes specifically to help with cleaning a food processor and other kitchen gadgets that have nooks and crannies that are otherwise hard to get into (even when fully disassembled). These toothbrushes are just the right shape and firmness to clean things, but soft enough that they don't scratch delicate plastic and glass parts.

However, I have no reason to test this brand on teeth, because for teeth I prefer a different brand that I've been using for decades and see no reason to switch.
