NEW USE FOR NON SLIP RUG PAD. We have a old sleep number bed with the "box springs" made of resin. The bed skirt would slide around on the "box springs" so much that we had to remove the mattress every few days to realign the bed skirt. We put the Non Slip Rug Pad under the bed skirt and now it stays put. It's been a month and the bed skirt has not moved at all. We couldn't be happier!
We have an area rug in our family room that's always sliding across the floor, and it was driving me wild. I was sure at some point, a kid was going to skid on it and go tumbling, but the prices of the rug pads at Target were so high that I didn't want to splurge.
When I first opened the package, there was an unpleasant, chemically odor, but it had dissipated by the time 30 minutes had passed. The pad was slightly tacky to the touch, but unfolded easily. It was simple to reposition. I was pleased to find out that it didn't need to cover the entire area of the rug, and in fact, we switched this 3x5 pad over to our 5x7 rug and it's been keeping it in place quite nicely.
It's quite thin and I didn't expect to feel a difference when standing on it, because I couldn't SEE a difference--but when I stepped on it, I could feel the cushioning. It didn't feel like a rug placed on top of a padding--it just felt like a slightly more high-end rug, which was a pleasant surprise. The thinness also ensured that crumbs wouldn't constantly be rolling under it--in the attached photo, you can see how, with the padding ending about a centimeter short of that rug, there is no noticeable lift in the edge. In the second photo, you can see how it can be positioned in the center to keep a larger rug in place
Overall, I was pleasantly surprised. The pricing is good, and it delivers what it claims to--no slips, and a slight cushioning

We have tried a number of other "non-slip" type backings, and this one seems to work best on our hall runners. Our tennis-ball-chasing Lab has always been able to make the runners look a roller coaster ride when she runs up and down the hall, but has been unable to move them since we installed these pads. They are easy to cut to size, which is a nice benefit.
Giving a four-star review as there doesn't seem to be any notice that you will need two-sided tape to install them. We used "Gorilla Tape", which worked like a charm (and, of course, is available at Amazon!).
this is a terrific, high quality and VERY grippy pad! ... specifically (all pros);
• thin, yes, but, adequate thickness to protect your rug from wear, without being too thick, which can be hazardous for the elderly or foot-draggers, especially if you are utilizing it under a thick rug. our's is utilized wit a 3x5 at the front door foyer, where there is very little clearance from the bottom of the front door to the foyer floor... as such, we required a thin pad that is no more than 1/8" thick... and, this fit the order perfectly! :-)
• nice, comfortable cushion, despite the thinness, and protects the carpet from wear very well, which is anticipated for years.
• durability; very good... heavy, daily usage for almost 6 months and zero signs of wear or compression... excellent!
• pad was received moderately cut just under 3'x5', so there is no trimming required to ensure no pad shows... but, it still provides full 3x5 rug protection....an excellent feature and time saver! ... first time that i did not need to trim pad, so it did not show!
• zero slippage; given that it gets a lot of traffic in the foyer, there is absolutely no movement, either between the rug and pad or the pad and floor. it is like it is all tacked down! normally, the rug and pad are sliding about or the rug is sliding off the pad... with this pad, those issues do not exist, as, once again, it has superb non-slip against both the floor and rug.

lastly, there are absolutely no "cons" to this rug pad... it is excellent, in every way, and we will only be purchasing this brand, for future purchases.

Fantastic product. I Have a toddler and a rambunctious dog and always need a rug pad to prevent slipping and to protect their floors. This one is strong and effective and won't stain floors like some others. It completely eliminates slipping even on my long and narrow hallway runner. It is slim enough that rugs lay flat but plush enough to feel comfy under my feet. It makes our faux-oriental rug feel more like the real thing. It is also easy to trim for unusually sized rugs.

I was mainly concerned by reading many reviews of pads that left residue on hardwood floors. The reviews for this pad seemed good in this category, and YES, we've had this pad now for a week or two, and there is no sign off sticking to the floor! I would perhaps want more cushioning, but for the low price of this one, I am perfectly satisfied. An added bonus, I used the excess we trimmed off to fit our area rug, putting it under the mattress pad of my daughter's bed, which has always slid around. I learned of this use from reading other reviews, that these are multipurpose pads!
I have a Greyhound, a Bichon Poo and a maniacal cat. The Greyhound needs throw rugs and runners because the design of the Greyhound foot causes her to slip on laminate floors. Unfortunately the runners do as well, especially when the cat decides to tear around the house. I was dubious about this pad but decided to give it a try. For the most part it keeps my rugs from flying all over creation. There is still some movement, but it's more like instead of flying, it kind of crawls and has to be adjusted. I'm getting ready to order more for another runner I just purchased.
I bought two rug pads about 1 feet shorter (in each dimension) than the rugs. I wanted thin rug pads because there is one door that opens over the rug. Everything worked as expected: the rugs stay in place when we walk, the dogs run over and when I vacuum the rugs. I can open the door without any inconvenient.
Initially, when I took them from the plastic bag, they had a little odor. I had read about this in other reviews then I left them one night in the garage and the odor disappeared completely.
These worked PERFECTLY! They're Thicker than the cheap ones and our rugs have not slid on the floor at all!! These are truly different than the cheaper ones and worth paying for for something that doesn't slide!!
I originally had the thinner non-slip pads under my rugs and they would scare us while walking because the rugs would slide forward and not even grip the floor! I took a look under my sister's rugs because hers do not slide and she had a thicker version that was more filled in (not so much space in between the little "puffs") and you could tell they didn't cheat in the process. This particular non-slip pads that I bought were the same ones my sister had that were puffier and thicker and they do not slide unless we get too much dirt underneath the padding. So, with that said, I recommend that you vacuum underneath the padding at least every couple of full house vacuuming.
We have laminate floors throughout our home including kitchen. In our kitchen we have a 5’ X 7’ area rug in front of the sink area. For six months the rug kept sliding out of position and had to be put back in place a dozen times a day. I bought this 4’ X 6’ rubber mat. That ended the slipping. It has not moved an inch since putting this down. Geez, what took me so long? This was the perfect solution! Shipping was quick too. Had it in about 5 days! Problem solved!
