I realize it's kind of ridiculous to review toilet paper, but I just received my case of Quilted Northern Ultra Plush, and I gotta tell you....it's great. No seriously, you guys......it's great.
If I'm at Target, I'll generally buy whatever's on sale or convenient. But sometimes you just can't deal with cramming a Titanic-sized pack of T.P. into your car and lugging it into your house---so when possible, I've been buying Quilted Northern on Amazon.....and then (shazam!) it's on my doorstep! But.I'd been buying the *other* version, Quilted Northern Ultra Soft and Strong Bath Tissue, 48 Double Rolls and was already pretty happy with it. That stuff is great too--no lint (i hate you Cottonelle. die, die, die.) and surprisingly fluffy.
But the Ultra Plush........it's like angels descended from heaven...(probably on unicorns, I imagine) to make every roll out of wishes and rainbows. It's that great. I don't want to ruin the magic for you, so let me just say: it's fluffy, seriously fluffy and cushiony, and you really *do* use less. I've always heard people say that about various brands of T.P., and figured it was a mild exaggeration (and I figured there were more exciting things to do than worry about the extra few sheets I so callously waste over the course of a year.) But.... you really do use less. Trust me. It's almost impractically fluffy. Like a chinchilla. (Don't use a chinchilla in place of T.P.) You can all thank me later.
I’ve strayed a couple times for a good deal but it’s hard to put a price on a clean backside. This may cost a little more, sometimes quite a bit more, sometimes it’s on sale for the same price as others but Quilted Northern Ultra Plush keeps more crap on the paper and less on your hand than any other brand I’ve tried. I’ve always worked in industrial type settings where toilet paper is purchased in bulk and is more akin to 1200 grit sandpaper than the tp one would usually have at home. This has strengthened my brown eye to the point that other super soft branded toilet papers disintegrate before the job is done. Quilted Northern Ultra Plush is soft but still very much up to the challenge and I won’t buy anything else now.
This is a very nice toilet tissue. Thick and absorbent and doesn't fall apart. I switch between this and Angel Soft which is comparable depending on the price at the time. I have not been disappointed int he quality or the speed of delivery. I would purchase again. The one thing I find so difficult with toilet paper and paper towels is that it is really hard to compare apples to apples when trying to find the best deal. Different number of sheets in a roll, different ply, different size sheets, different quantity in a package. Really a pain. It would so nice to have standardization...but that's just my thought and actually I do not know how you would do that. Bottom line here is that this is nice quality at a reasonable price.
Crazy....reviewing toilet paper...tee-hee-hee, but when reading the reviews I felt bad. Many people gave bad reviews because the rolls were too big to fit on a standard toilet paper holder. I can definitely see where that would be annoying. For my family, thankfully, this is not an issue. The roll fits on both toilet paper holders without issue. An amazing product and keeps everyone happy in my bathrooms. lol The price is great and it arrives promptly and without issue.
I've been a Quilted Northern fan for decades, but ordering with Amazon's Subscribe & Save (I paid $22.09) is a huge savings for me now that I live in the middle of nowhere. I was trying to quantify the difference, but can't be precise because each of these individual rolls is HUGE, much larger than those in the 12-packs in my grocery store, so I'll estimate that 12 of these have perhaps 20-30% more footage than 12 of the regular. As such it's a great value for me. Finally, I had to chuckle because Amazon reviews now have prompting questions, one of which is "what did you use this product for?" I also had a good laugh reading some of the Q&A ("can it be used in a snowstorm?").

I have been a strictly Charmin user for many, many years. I would buy their product at Costco but the price just keept going up and up. I mean for god sakes you are literally wiping your bum and throwing it away... You are literally throwing money away. So I was on the HUNT. I needed a double ply, soft, strong TP that wasn't a lot of money. And I found it!!! I wouldn't say this toilet paper is as soft as Charmin HOWEVER, this is plenty soft. I use about 3 squares per wipe (sorry if that's TMI). Anyways, I get the 48 roll pack for a family of 4 and it lasts about 2 months. You seriously can't beat the price. I subscribed so I was even able to save more $$$! I would definitely recommend this product to anybody!
Okay, I know it seems ridiculous to give toilet paper five stars, but this triple layered paper is perfect. It's soft and doesn't hurt bottoms that need TLC. Because it's triple layered, a little goes a long way. This last one may seem minor to you, but it has another good feature, too. So many other brands have a profuse amount of paper lint that flies off the roll as it's used, and settles all over the bathroom. Northern Quilted Ultra Plush Toilet Paper doesn't do that.
I normally use Charmin or Kirkland (from Costco), but decided to give this particular product a try because there was a coupon available and reviews were overall pretty good. For the price due to the coupon, I'd give it five stars because it did its job with a more affordable price, however, if I didn't use the coupon and did a comparison based on its normal price, the product is an overall four stars. Here's the rationale:
- The description says it's 3 ply, which it is, but it is a very thin 3 ply. I feel like it's only 3 ply when you get near the end of the roll where the last few squares are always thicker.
- Each square is as soft as it claims to be. That gives the illusion that it won't absorb everything unless you use massive amounts of squares. You won't need to though, it's more a mind game when you compare it to Charmin, which is usually a bit thicker (or at least gives the illusion that it's thicker).
- The price per 100 sheets (normal price without coupon) is the same as Charmin, and if that's the case, then I would expect Quilted Northern to have the same level of overall thickness, which it doesn't. When the same price, I would rather buy Charmin.
I have salute Lee superior tissue. It’s definitely Rittz/Marriott grade. I have an elder that I take care of you she needs special care and this to shoot does the job. It’s thick absorptive and the rolls are huge and last a long time. I love the massive box it came in I don’t have to go to the store as often and I would definitely order again. This is not a paid endorsement as my word is my bond #NeuroGuru #NortonThink #Nano7Labs
Double ply and soft. Can’t stand single ply toilet tissue! Great product. I bought the regular size rolls and not the maxi or jumbo rolls because of the older toilet paper holder we have. The bigger rolls don’t fit well. If I remodel the bathroom at a later date, I’ll try to buy larger toilet paper holders to accommodate the larger toilet tissue rolls.
