I ordered this shower mat after reading many of the reviews - the good, the okay and the ugly. The yays definitely out weighed the boos. I was prepared for the rubbery smell and had the bathroom windows wide open. However, when I opened the package, there was no horrific smell, yes it is rubber but nothing to give this product a one star for. I love the length, it fits the entire length of my tub which is exactly what I wanted! As for the slipperiness of it, well people, this is talking about it moving and slipping on the tub, NOT you slipping on it when you have soapy bubbles on it... The suction cups are all over the underside of it and if installed as directed, it does not move at all -- wet tub, place mat down, push down to secure it (I carefully stepped on it all over). It feels great under my feet while in the shower!
So far we have been really happy with this mat. It's easy to pull up off the tub when I'm done showering I like to hang it to dry to avoid mold/mildew build up on the bottom of the mats. It also doesn't slide around at all. We bought a cheap one from Walmart it was terrible it stuck to the tub but would move around it was actually worse having it down in the tub them showering with out the mat. This mat once it's down doesn't move at all. I got mine in white I did notice a couple of spots had a yellowish tint but they don't bother me. This mat is light weight and I like the mats with the drain holes in them which this has. Overall really great product I would definitely purchase this item again
My old mat was starting to lose it's grip-not so much for me but my rather clumsy daughter was constantly slipping on it as it bunched up and moved. Love this mat-the very strong suction cups seem like they will do the trick. I placed it in the sun to soften the slightly curled ends while I scrubbed the tub. While the tub was still wet I placed the mat down and followed the directions to press on it with my hands.in several spots. It went down perfectly flat and the cups grabbed the tub.As you walk on it while showering you will feel additional cups grabbing the tub.I like the feel of the mat under my feet as I shower and the turquoise color is very pretty in my white tub. The big test was daughter- no slipping and sliding under her. The extra length is nice since it covers most of the tub and even has a little cut out area to fit up near the drain. Time will tell how long it lasts but for now I am very pleased with it.
Purchased the turquoise (beautiful color) bath mat for our shower and was impressed at how well the mat stuck to the base of the shower! This is one of the best mats I've purchase as it doesn't lose its grip over time and move around once water is on it. Product was shipped and packaged well with a tube in the middle and wrap around the outside. Very little curling once unpackaged and placed in the shower. Mat did have an odor of plastic smell to it once unpackaged--nothing to be concerned about as I'm sure it will disappear with use and time.
Mat fit well in our 3.5ft long bath tub, nearly the entire length of the shower floor is covered.
I also purchased it in two more colors as well and just waiting for them to arrive. Definitely worth the money!
My mother has Alzheimer's Disease and the shower has been an issue for her for years. We recently started taking showers in a large, walk-in shower to make it easier to help her but the fact that the floor and back of the shower were the same color was causing her concern about stepping in or moving while in there. I found this mat and it's perfect! You can't find medium-dark colored mats in stores and we needed that so Mom could see the distinction in colors to know it was safe for her to step in. The mat is long enough and non-skid enough to make her comfortable once again and she doesn't balk at getting in anymore. Showers can be crossed off our list of problems we no longer have... for now at least. We liked it so much my dad asked me to buy a second one for another bathroom. I'm so glad we found this product!

My 5 year old loves to take baths but complained about our old bathmat. It looked similar but was made of a thicker plastic which made the edges of the holes a bit uncomfortable to sit on. He complained so much I knew I needed to find a replacement. I purchased this one after reading a few reviews and seeing pictures. I love it and he loves it. The only thing I need to do differently is remove it at night after everyone has showered. My other bathmat didn't mold if water stayed under it. I am not sure about this one but don't want to take chances since it's basically see through. I remove it at night to dry and replace it before bath time starts.
Bought this to replace 2 side by side mats we were using to cover the whole tub that always got folded up on each other creating a hazard. This one long mat covers the entire tub and stays put (as long as you follow the instructions, wet tub first and press down firmly before standing on it) every time. We pull it up to let the underneath dry out between showers and have not had any signs of discoloration or mold. Great upgrade for us!
Good mat but really horrible smell. I tried soaking in soap and water and that doesn't work. I soaked it in vinegar and water in the tub over night and that seemed to help a lot. I took a star off for the horrible smell, it was making me sick, literally. If I hadn't figured out to use vinegar it would be in the trash.
Seems to stick to the tub ok, it's the first bath mat I've ever owned, I got it for my daughter's bath time, tub was too slippery without one. Seems to help with that. Cute color.
Very pretty pink. I've does have a strong chemical smell that has take some weeks to finally evaporate. After reading reviews about mold growth, I do pick mine up after use and hang vertical on the shower wall to let it drain adequately. I have thrown it in the wash four times now (which I do with all my bath mats) and it was held up great on regular cycle. Giving it 4 stars because of the smell otherwise very happy with this product.
I’ve gone through quite a few tub mats since having kids & this is the all time winner! No slipping, no sliding, & it stays put no matter if it’s a bath or shower. And you don’t have to take it up to dry every single time. The blue is pretty & helps hide my 60’s awkward yellowish tub.
It is pretty pungent the first few days. I let a hot shower run on it for a few minutes for the first 3 days & it helped. Then after a few baths the smell was completely gone.
