Bought this for my preschooler who has had issues with nightlights in the past. I figured something more lamp-like would cut down on our electrical outlet problems. She absolutely loved the almost holographic look of the unicorn, it’s a plastic that I’m not at all worried about breaking. It’s easy to use-just touching the power button on the base will turn it on and change the colors (she’s a little too young to know exactly how to work the remote, but it’s nice to have!). It’s been a success so far! We’ve had it nearly a month, with no problems! I couldn’t be happier!

It was a gift for a little girl in my building
From the photos I thought the unicorn image was an actual hologram created by light--the kind you could pass your hand through. I didn't realize it was simply a piece of plastic with an image engraved on it that lights up. Its a nice light with lots of options available on the remote and seven different colors. I haven't tried running it on batteries yet but when connected to a battery backup through USB, it stayed lit one solid color all night and only ran the backup down from 100% to 96% so its very energy efficient. Cool but just not what was hoped for.
I purchased this as a gift and am very pleased with it! It is so beautiful when all lit up.
Works great as a night light. Three year old loves having her own remote and likes to change the colors. It's not really 3 dimensional.
