Contigo 2063296 Autoseal Chill Water Bottle, 24 oz, Chard

I've been using a similar contigo bottle for some time but needed something to keep my water cold much longer. This is it. It's keep it very cold ALL day. I'm able to stay more hydrated because I'm the type of person that has to have very cold water. I also just bought this to keep it even colder and because the stainless steel also gets hot when in sun or even just really cold from water. This protects your hand. I purchased this back in April when there were only "reviews in exchange for a free/reduced item" on the page. I was skeptical because I rarely buy items that only have unverified reviews. However, this bottle is great and does just what it says. It keeps water very cold! I did some testing the first few days and it keeps water cold for over a day and a half if you put ice in it.

The only con is that, just like the product description says, you cannot just throw it into a bag to carry it around because after an extended period of time on its side it will leak a bit.

I liked this water bottle so much that when I saw one in black in the local Target, I purchased an additional one. I'm glad I overlooked the free/paid reviews of this item and bought it. I use it every day to take water to work, visiting friends, etc.

Finally!! The holy grail! I used to have an under armour (made by Thermos) stainless steel vacuum bottle similar to this for years but the lid was made of cheap plastic. Just falling over would put a crack in the flip top and render it useless. BUT I really liked the design otherwise.

KEY things you need in a good water bottle:
1) Keeps things cold for >12 hours (this reports 18 and I believe it if kept full...obviously if volume is low, it won't stay as cold as long).
2) Durable (let's face it you are going to drop this eventually)
3) ONE-handed operation (who has time to use TWO hands...I mean your phone is likely in the other, am I right?)
4) Handle...this one is great as it is there if you need it and hidden when you don't...again, multi-tasking...I often am juggling many things and to be able to carry 24 oz of ice cold water with my pinky finger, I'm happy.
5) Size. 24 oz is key. 18, 20 are too small and I don't like having to keep stopping to refill this throughout the day.

Cons I would have to say if you want to use this for anything other than water, it may be hard to clean the top as it has a push button (opposite where you drink) that opens the opening for drinking and there is a complex mechanism inside the underside of the cap...it is dishwasher (top-rack) safe and so I'm fine with this as I only use it for water.

Overall, a great WATER canteen. And in my opinion, the BEST for your money....I've been looking for quite a while.

I've been toting water bottles since the late 1980s. I've been using Sigg bottles for the past 10 years or so, and have never found anything better. Until now. This bottle does keep your water ice cold for hours, just like everyone says. The selling point for me is the spout. I never have to unscrew a cap or pop a cover. Press the button and the water goes right down. The other feature I love is that the top has a ring you can hang on your finger (hard to see in some pics). Bought one for everyone in the house, and three for my daily and nightly use!
For those of you who don't read directions, seriously, don't put it in the freezer! I fill these bottles with water only. I've never had a better bottle.

For years I’ve been convinced that I had a curse upon me. That curse? The curse of a leaky water bottle. I was forever dumping out a purse or gym bag filled with water from a leaking bottle or loose top. The passenger seat in my car was water stained from all my casually tossed water bottles. Well, curse begone! I haven’t had a waterlogged purse since I converted to these Contigo water bottles. Once the top is screwed on, the auto-seal feature seals things right back up, preventing people like me from getting water everywhere. In addition, with a handful of ice cubes, this bottle keeps a beverage cold during a day at the beach or in a hot car. One thing I do miss: my plastic auto-seal Contigo bottles had a clip that would allow me to clip them to a bag strap or the bungees on my paddle board. This bottle has no clip and a carabiner on the handle only gets in the way of water flow while drinking. Would love to see these with a built-in clip. With that being said, no clip is a small price to pay for an auto-seal bottle that keeps a beverage cold all day!

This item is Great. Keeps my drink cold for hours and hours. I am so glad I purchased it and may even purchase a spare soon. Thank you seller and Amazon.com for offering this Contigo Stainless steel water bottle.

I bought two of these, one for when I bike ride and one for the wife. My wife likes to have ice cold water at night when she goes to bed.
I used it for the first time last night. When I woke up this morning I was curious to see if the ice would still be in the container. I shook it up and didn't hear anything bouncing around. I figured, ugh no good. We have another Contigo and it keeps her ice cubes solid all night. I was disappointed.
I then opened it up to dump the old water and wash it when I realized that the reason I didn't feel or hear any ice bouncing around was that water around the cubes had frozen! While there was still liquid water in the container, the ice had formed around the shape of the container and didn't move! Very impressive.

I gave it a 4 star so clearly I it. It does just about everything I expected it to. However there is a surprise factor that nobody seem to address. The mouth piece that you drink from is difficult to clean, I've only put water in this bottle (cold). Because the soft plastic that create the autoseal effect is always behind hard shell cover, if you pay close attention when you push the button to drink, you'll so discoloration, looks like mold to me. I've tried so badly to clean it. For reference, I've had it for almost 6 months. I notice this about a month ago.

I've added a flipped over photo so you guys can better see what I'm talking about.

I bought this water bottle because I had a plastic bottle from the same maker and loved it. It held 24 oz. of water and had an autoseal top which doesn't spill if I would tip it over. The only problem I had with it was that since it was plastic, water didn't stay cold for very long. I saw this and figured I would try this out. It works just like the plastic one I already had but keeps water colder for a lot longer period of time. It's advertised as keeping your drinks cold for up to 28 hours. I tested it out I didnt really find that to be the case. I filled the bottle with cold water I had in the fridge and left it on the counter overnight (about 6 hours) until I got up for work. I took a quick drink and it was still as cold as it was when I first filled it. Cool! When I came back from work (about 8 hours later, the water was cool. Later in the afternoon I tested it again and it was a little cooler than room temp. I would say it stays cool for about 18-20hrs and not 28. Other than that I still like this water bottle. The Autoseal top and the release button feels a lot nicer than the plastic bottle and my drinks do stay cold for a long period of time. Doesnt sweat and the release button and autoseal functions are just cool to me.

Update: I actually returned the old one because it was damaged during shipping. Figured that if I paid a certain amount I might as well get a good one. Amazon was great about it. Super easy process. The new one functions the same as the old. Holds ice and cold temps well. Overall glad I got it and happy with Amazon customer service. Now we'll see the durability of the bottle.

Original: The water bottle works great. Keeps the water cold for most of the day. I'm able to fit large ice cubes in it and they stay whole for at least 6 hours.

My only complaint is that the bottle came dented. It looks as if someone accidentally dropped it. It came in a padded bag for shipping so maybe that contributed to the damage. The mouth piece cover and bottom part of the bottle showed impact damage. It still works but it doesn't look nice. Also I'm a little worried about durability. Looks like it'll dent easily. Disappointed about the quality since this wasn't a cheap bottle.
