It’s difficult to buy a pillow online - usually you decide one based on feel. I would describe these pillows as medium firm with sufficient filling to give your neck some support. They are not down, so no need to worry about suffocating overnight when sinking your head into a pillow. I recently bought a 2-pack of “eco smart” pillows from Costco on sale so I compared them directly, and this pair was clearly higher quality and more supportive. The size is a modest queen - don’t expect a King oversized pillow, but they fit well in a standard Queen-sized pillow case.
Aside from the quality of the pillow, I was most impressed with the packaging! (weird, I know). Each pillow came tightly rolled in a cylindrical shape in airtight plastic within a nice looking zippered bag. Honestly it was more than I was expecting and if I were to be in a situation where I was giving some pillows as a gift (I have no idea when this would happen…), I would definitely feel good about doing it with these!
Yes, there are cheaper pillows out there, but sometimes you get what you pay for. I think these are priced appropriately for their quality.
Overall, I would suggest that you go to the store and get an idea how firm/soft of a pillow you want. If medium-firm is for you, then these will work great!
My previous pillow was a memory foam pillow. I normally sleep on my side all night long and sometimes the same side. I must have sensitive ears, because I almost always have a sore ear in the morning from laying like this. In fact with my previous Memory foam pillow, I had to use one of those donut hole travel pillows on top of my normal pillow and rest my ear in the hollow spot so it didn't hurt in the morning
Last night I tested this pillow and slept on the side as usual. I can't really describe how nice it felt besides it felt like a cloud. No pressure point on my ear at all. I love this pillow, and I really love the reasonable pricing also. I think I'm going to get some for my kids
Pillow came vacuum sealed and looked a lot smaller in the package but it fluffs up to be huge! As you can see in my photos it is larger than a standard. I have my standard sized memory foam on top of the Dream North pillow for comparison. It measures about 6-7 inches thick once fully expanded so it is a good size. It does compress more than my memory foam once on it so I would say it is better for those who do not like a pillow too thick. I will stick with my memory foam as I prefer the thickness as a side sleeper. I will keep this pillow as it is great for putting between my legs or propping up on it to sit up in bed.
Pros:
Perfect balance of firmness and cushiony feeling like a superior hotel pillow. I've had/tried many other pillows and this one is perfect for me (I sleep on my back).
Cotton cover helps keep cool in hot climate
No odor whatsoever on unpacking and allowing to expand (unlike other pillows)
Cons:
The plastic envelope in which it's shipped does not tear/rip open, so must be cut. Has to be done VERY CAREFULLY or it's easy to cut into the pillow itself that's wrapped tightly within.
I have a lot of pillow experience. I have travelled extensively for many years and have Elite Gold status at several hotel chains. I've stayed in 100's of hotels. Half of them have lousy pillows and only a few have decent pillows. The rest are mediocre at best. I've also bought pillows from Costco, spent more on memory foam pillows and $100+ for orthopaedic versions. I tried this pillow because I was able to get an early promotion. I was pleasantly surprised as it's one of the better pillows I've used. For the majority of hotels, this pillow would definitely be an upgrade. I expect that is true for the majority of people as we tend to keep our pillows for too long. The reason I rated this pillow 5 Stars is that its quality is much better than the price would suggest. This makes it a good value. I've only had it for a few nights so I will keep using it for a while to see how it holds up. I will update my review in a few weeks. Note: The picture shows two pillows which can be confusing since the description states correctly that it is a single pillow that ships.

Soft, comfortable pillow!! I spent the weekend at my sisters and she had these on her guest bed. As soon as I laid my head on them I fell in love....next morning took the pillowcase off to hopefully find a brand on the tag and there it was: DreamNorth. Looked it up on Amazon and had them shipped to my house. They were waiting for me on my porch when I got home! Haven’t had them long so not sure how long they keep but hopefully they wear well.
Me and my husband used those pillows for two nights and they are working great for us. They get fluffy once you take them out the package. Seems like nice quality product. Perfect size and fits our pilllow cases very good
I bought this pillow for my son’s new “big boy bed”. I was looking for a pillow that is not too thick and safe for a toddler and I really love this one, its exactly like i wanted it to be. It is heavy and full, not too fluffy and it looks very luxurious. I researched a long time for the perfect pillow and I’m glad I made the right choice. Thank you!!!
I was pleasantly surprised when these pillows arrived. Firstly, they came vacuum sealed, but quickly took shape when released. Secondly, they have provided great comfort as they are not too hard or too soft. I am a side sleeper and these work great; like sleeping on a cloud. They are hypo-allergenic and are queen size also. Whatever they are filled with makes it cool to the head. The best part is you cannot beat the price for pillows of this quality.
I love these pillows! Last night first night and slept so good. I sleep on my side and was having ear pain from hard pillow. After these last night will always use DreamNorth Gel Pillows. Thank you!
