Love his shelf. I replaced the fabric which was very easy to do and now my daughter can easily access all her books. If you want to change out the fabric, it'll take 2 yards.

It is absolutely perfect for my 7 1/2 month old daughter's hardback books. As you can see from the photo, I turned around for 15 seconds too long, it is also sturdy. Easy to put together too. I recommend this for toddlers.

We love these book shelfs so much that we bought a second one! One we have had for about two years and the second showed up this morning!

Assembly takes about 5 minutes for a single person to put it together and they hold up great. After 2 years our original shelf still looks brand new & we read books multiple times a day!

We use one for paper pages and the new one tnow holds out board books!

UPDATE: as our boys grow so does our book collection. Yesterday we added a third shelf to the lineup. These things are great for the money!

I purchased this for my 6 month old daughter's room. I have a similar book rack for my 6 year old son. I have been really pleased with his. It holds lots of books and is very sturdy. I wanted something similar for my daughter, only with pastel colors (his has primary color's and is made by Kid Kraft). I got the Tot Tutors rack for my daughter because I liked the colors and thought they'd go well in her room. I also liked the white base instead of the natural wood that the Kid Kraft version has. This was much less expensive than the Kid Kraft one, as well.

It took me about 15 minutes to assemble (that's including the time it took me to locate a screw driver). It's very simple. Just screw rods into one side of the base, hang the pouches, then screw the rods into the other side of the base.

Overall, it is a cute little book rack and it does look great in her room (The walls are violet and turquoise. Her furniture is white and the other accents have pinks, sea green, and blues.).

I was, at first, a little underwhelmed by it's size but I think I was mistaken. I thought it was smaller than the Kid Kraft version. It is shorter but only because the Kid Kraft one has a piece of wood that sits under the cloth, which makes the cloth racks sit higher. Without that part of the base, they are basically the same height. I am posting pictures of the two together to show comparison. This one is much shorter but it is wider than the other. They have the same number of pouches, which do seem to be a bit deeper on this one, so it should hold close to the same amount of books (maybe even a few more). I do like it and this it will work well.

(When looking at the pictures, the primary colored one is Kid Kraft and the Tot Tutors has pastel colors.)

My kids have a ton of books. That being said, when this arrived I was completely disappointed. I decided to give it a shot anyway and immediately changed my mind upon filling it! It actually holds a surprising number of books! (All of their favorites!) My youngest toddler is incredibly destructive and I was a little worried she'd try to climb on it, but thus far, she's realized its purpose and had left it at that! (Small victories!) Totally happy with it!

I purchased this for our homeschool room to use in a reading nock. It definitely will not hold all the "hundreds" of kids books we seem to have but it is perfect for providing a handful of options. It also gives us a place to put our library books and allows me to rotate the reading selection. It was easy to put together and the material is good for kids. The size is just right too for a little one sitting and reading. Best feature is the ease of putting books away. Compared to a regular book case this option makes book clean up easy for little ones.

This year when trying to figure out gifts for folks I am going to go for those things I think they can utilize. Seeing my great nephews & nieces all have a love for books I plan on getting each of them a sling bookcase. These seem to be constructed good & there are many options to choose from with colors. Neutral grey is in their home schooling classroom so I was thrilled to see the grey option. Going for the pink for the girls.

This is cute & easy to assemble- took about 15min. I was surprised by how sturdy this actually feels and really happy overall- especially given the price point (I purchased at $20/free ship- I think this price is fair for what you're getting, much over $25 and I think it would approach overpriced- in my opinion; at $20, I would order it again). The poles are all metal which makes it more likely to hold up than similar style of kids furniture we've owned that have wooden dowel rods (that have eventually ended up broken). The pockets are like a "garden flag" material, they are pretty flimsy but- again, for the price, I was satisfied. If you forced a LOT of heavier/thicker books in this over time, I could see how it may not hold up long term or the weight could rip the bottom out of the pockets.

While this is pretty small/not very high, I wanted a kids sized/more narrow shelf that could fit against the wall, in the space between the wall & the rocking chair we read in. We are also updating my 4yr old's room and I was looking for cost-effective ways to spruce it up/add some better organization - this fits the bill on all accounts. She also loves it and was really excited.

My daughter placed a mix of paperback/thinner hardcover kids books in it (herself) and on average, she seems to have gotten about 8-12 kids books (give or take) in each "shelf" - this is without "overfilling" and not feeling like they are forced in or tight. Obviously, depending on the type/size of books, amount it will hold is going to vary- thicker baby books will reduce capacity- we stuck to thinner books. I placed some of our taller hardback books in the pockets to show size reference (see pic with Fancy Nancy hardcovers); if you are using smaller/paperback kids books like you might get in a book order, this will hold quite a bit more (easily 12+ per shelf).

*I only gave 4 stars because there was one small spot on the edge of the shelf where the white was chipped slightly upon arrival (nothing I would consider returning or that impacts the use of the item in anyway, but I do expect we may see more of that with daily use- again for $20, it's not a big deal); I also think that if the material used for the pockets was a little thicker/more substantial, it would increase the durability/life of the shelf.

This is a great little bookshelf for my 13 month old daughter. I am so happy to have found a nice little bookshelf that doesn't scream KIDS LIVE HERE lol. It blends in nicely with everything else in the living room, so my house doesn't look like a baby-stuff-explosion. The shelf wasn't quite as sturdy as I thought it would be, but once it's against the wall, it is fine. I was able to remove a lot of the creases with a clothes steamer, but only after I already assembled it, oops. I may actually undo it so I can steam the rest of the wrinkles from the material, which is a nylon-like, wipeable material. Overall, this is a great piece, and I know my daughter will get lots of use out of it. She loves her little reading nook, and I am thinking of buying another one or two for her bedroom and/or basement.

I bought this for my 3 year old. He’s 3 feet tall so it’s the perfect height for him. Although it is small, it holds several books nicely. The his thick board books take up too much space so I’ll just be putting his thinner paperback books in it. The fabric is pretty thin but so far it seems to hold the books well. Very easy to assemble.
