It spits water out on the clothes even at a lower setting. Should not even happen on higher setting! Other than that it an ok iron for what need it for. I have had much better too.
Good normal size iron. Great heat and steam. A simple tip for longevity: Use only distilled water. I didn't want the cord retractor as they often break long before iron does and also adds to the weight. The perfect iron! Ugly color though.
After 30 years, my iron called it quits so had to purchase a new one. I own several Black & Decker products, so chose this one due to product reputation - and it did not disappoint!! It’s larger than my old iron, making ironing faster since you’re covering a bigger surface, & WOW does it steam!! And being turquoise instead of drab black & chrome, makes it nice to look at too!!
Just got this iron in the mail yesterday so I can't speak to it's durability but I put some water in it, turned it on and it heated up quickly and there was lots of steam.
I took a star off because the iron had water droplets in its reservoir and the cord wasn't factory wrapped, making it obvious that it had a previous owner who used it and returned it so I consider it to be a previously owned iron for which I paid full price.
I was looking for an iron that has easy to use settings and that wasn't too heavy. This iron seems just right for me. I have had tendonitis in both elbows in the past so I can't stand a heavy iron. But, some of the real lightweight irons are almost useless. This was does a good job of pressing fabrics, it's easy to fill up and adjust the settings. I hope it last a few years.

I have had good experience with the black and decker irons. I bought this for myself and my mom has a similar one. They both work great and steam super well and press great. I would definitely buy it again if needed. These cheaper priced irons work so much better than the $90 Rowenta I have.

This has been such a great purchase. It irons so well and quickly gets the wrinkles out. I hate ironing, still don’t love it, but love that’s it cut my ironing time down by so much.
This iron is heavy enough for the job. Incredibly easy to use.
Cheerful color. Perfect for home or sewing needs. Unfortunately the iron came with a cosmetic defect. It didn’t seem that it would effect its functional performance so I kept it rather than return it because I needed an iron sooner rather that later.
Nice iron. Does as good a job as a heavy expensive iron would.
