I received this ironing mat last week and am very very pleased with it, for more than one reason. First, I expected it, for the price, to be thinner. But it isn't. I could easily use this on a desk or table and while I would keep an eye on it, I suspect that it is thick enough to protect the surface quite well. It is reversible, with one side quilted and the other not. This comes in handy with light fabrics (using the plain side) and heavier fabrics (using the quilted side). I currently am using it on a counter in my laundry area and am quite happy with it. It comes with pressing pads, which are sometimes called scotch cloths. I use these on a couple of blouses I have that always need a touch up. And the best bonus of all was silicon iron rest. My iron doesn't like to sit on anything other than a hard flat surface, so I always have to keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't tip over if it is sitting on the ironing mat, or an ironing board. I ordered the 19 X 33 pad, which fits perfectly in my laundry room, but I may re-order and buy the slightly larger one and keep it on hand for larger jobs. Would highly recommend this product. Quality is very good, and it does exactly what it says it will do. Sorry for the wrinkles showing on the pad in the photo. I took the photo when I first unpacked it, not giving it time to flatten out. Now, its flat and used every day.
A must have if you live in an apartment with limited closet space for an full size ironing board. The quilted side is great for heavier fabrics. The flat side is perfect for thinner pieces, the protective mesh sheet is so smart for a professional finish. Having the iron rest keeps the iron from taking up space on the pad for those of us who hate putting a hot iron on any unprotected surface. This is such a great option, I've used it on the bed and a counter. The fabric feels sturdy. No more using towels, I expect to have this for some time.
I love this thing. I hate to take out the ironing board just to press a single shirt or pants on the run. This was perfect! Good for quick ironing though I still use my ironing board. Must need batteries because does not work automatically as I still have a big ironing pile!
I use this in my sewing room next to my sewing machine. I did add a silicone mat under it just to be sure it wouldn't ruin my wood table. I love that it came with an ironing protector and silicone mat. I cut the silicone down to fit my teeny tiny iron. It's just nice to have to press seams as you sew instead of going to my large board and iron each time.

The ironing blanket is great! Especially for a small apartment where I have no room to store an ironing board. The silicone iron mat is strange, and I am not sure how to use it, since my iron has a frame which allows it to remain upright. And it came with a mesh cloth that I think you're supposed to iron through on sensitive materials, but mine was torn when it arrived. I didn't bother returning it, since I really only needed the blanket - and I haven't tried the mesh cloth.
This works great on my sewing table and the coffee table (not a nice one - I’d put a towel underneath if it was), and I can fold it up and put it away. It’s way more convenient than lugging out the big ironing board, and has greater surface area. And free gifts!
I really needed to invest in one of these. I was using a bath towel for the longest time and honestly that was reaaally hard to keep flat. This ironing mat is great! I got the medium size and it's perfect for shirts and pant legs.
My iron pad came with a protective mesh and an iron rest pad, all were packaged professionally. The large pad is a nice size to fit on top of a washing machine and folds up nicely. It should not be put directly on a wood table , as I quickly learned. The seller was kind enough to email me stating such, but I didn't open email prior to doing so, which was my mistake. I like the thickness of the pad, the quality of the rest pad and the protective mesh, they are all good quality.
Since I am using this in my sewing room, I would like to know if pad comes in different measurements to cover longer surface instead of square surface.
Just what I needed for my travel iron when going on Sew Days with friends. Easy to pack up, take with me, and easy to use. I like the silicone pad to rest the iron on, that's very handy. I plan on putting the pad on a TV tray table to make a small, very portable ironing board (rather than using the pad on the table itself-I don't think there's enough padding to directly iron on the table so I'll add some cotton batting underneath).
