You get what you pay for. It’s a decent mattress, I bought the 12” for the guest room so it won’t get much use and should last a while. The mattress is very very soft. I am used to my tempurpedic mattresses I use in the house. This is not one of those, not even close, but that’s okay, it’s super inexpensive. It’s light and easy to install out of the package. It doesn’t stink like some foam mattresses can. It’s comfortable which is the most important thing. I’d have giving it 5 stars if the support was better, it just needs a little more firmness, I don’t like when sitting on the side of the bed and the entire mattress compresses to the frame of the bed.
I’m 6 foot 3 inches tall and weigh 247 lbs, after 24 hours I fell right asleep. Its very comfortable, light, and simple. I was just looking for a comfortable mattress that’s easy to move around and that’s exactly what I got.

I was looking into the different brands, and out of nowhere, I learned that Amazon is offering its brand.
I was very skeptical but decided to try it. So far, I love the AmazonBasics Memory Foam Mattress. The mattress is soft but supportive. I will be updating this review with new findings in a week or so. First day on the mattress (after leaving it for 72 hours as per instruction) I just love this bed.
When it says wait 72 hrs. before you sleep on it, they were correct. It took that long for it to it to make it up to 11". Never made it to 12" which is what it was supposed to be. It's possible I suppose that where we live (8400' altitude) would make a difference, I'm not sure.
The bed is firm and comfortable. My back does not hurt at all in the mornings. I would recommend it. We had a Serta mattress which we paid much more for that did hurt my back. So for the price of the AmazonBasics, we feel like if it wears out we are still ahead even if we have to replace it in a three or four years.

I've needed a new mattress for a long time - I was waking up with aches and pains because I felt like I was sleeping on a piece of plywood. With two dogs and a toddler, I was hesitant to purchase an expensive mattress that could quickly be ruined. I came across this AmazonBasics Memory Foam Mattress and decided the price was worth the risk. If it's awful, it's not a huge loss. If it's amazing, then what a deal!
I went with the 8-inch queen for $200. The mattress arrived quickly in a large box. We opened it and let it decompress for the full 72 hours. There was a very slight odor, almost like fresh paint. It actually didn't bother me at all. The mattress did not reach the full 8 inches - it is 7 inches. Although I paid for the extra inch, I'm not too upset by this. We wanted a lower bed for a couple of reasons. I covered this mattress with a waterproof encasement due to having the above mentioned dogs and toddler.
We've slept on this for 3 nights and it feels like I'm sleeping on a cloud. I haven't ever slept so well. It's a bit less firm than I had hoped for, but we could easily add a mattress topper to help if needed. I don't yet know how this mattress will hold up long-term. I will be happy to come back with updates.
There are many choices for memory foam mattresses. After searching all options from name brand to no brand, we decided Amazon Basics Memory Foam mattress met our needs at the lowest price! The price was so much lower I doubted the quality. We unpacked the mattress and let it expand for the full 72 hours. No more aching back. Many of the negative comments were about the mattress being too soft. Perhaps those users didn't wait the full 72 hours - when first opened, the mattress feels very soft. Allowing it to expand gives this mattress a medium to firm feel. I highly recommend it and at that price it is hard to go wrong.
Having become used to a memory foam mattress at home, I got tired of sleeping on a coil mattress when I visited my parents (whom I visit frequently). So I looked around to see if there was an inexpensive memory foam mattress with decent reviews (from mattress review sites I trust) and I found this. I went with the 12" model and am very happy with it. It's comfortable while still being supportive. If you're looking for a firm foam mattress this is not for you --I'd rank the firmness around a 4 out of 10 (10 being the max). But I'm a side sleeper and the firmness worked great for me. And you can't beat the price! $237.99 for a full-size memory foam mattress from a reputable company. If you're looking for an inexpensive memory foam mattress I'd definitely consider this.
We love memory foam and thought it was time to replace a previous model. As with our previous model, we found this mattress is more comfortable with a 3 inch soft topper added. It seems to hold less heat than the other mattresses in our house. We will never go back to coil spring mattresses! If it needs to be moved up stairs be sure to get help and be cautious-- it is is very heavy!
This mattress is so comfortable I don't want to get out of bed. I am very pleased with the product and if it holds up I will definitely repurchase this mattress. The only draw back is the smell that is supposed to dissipate over time. I have two memory foam pillows that took some time to "off gas" so I wasn't shocked. Basically, it is a great purchase!
