The RoboVac does a great job cleaning. It's able to climb a high-pile carpet most of the time (has trouble some others depending on how the pile lays). Only issue I really see is it has trouble finding its way home if it isn't close to the base when it finishes.
ETA: after submitting my review, Anker contacted me and offered a free additional charging base to alleviate the returning home issues. In addition, they offered an additional product of my choosing of $30 or less. This is how you do customer service and why I'm a loyal Anker/Eufy customer.
Overall, I'm extremely impressed with this vacuum! I was hesitant purchasing it (due to the amount of options and features available in the market) but I'm so glad I did. We have two large, German Shepherd mixed dogs and this tiny vacuum does wonders on both our hardwood and carpeted floors, transitioning almost seamlessly from level to level. I'm able to schedule it's run time via the user friendly app, as well as program the cleaning cycle (whether it be auto, edging, 30-min quick clean, etc). We run it nearly every night on the full-powered "auto" cycle and I'm amazed at the dog hair it picks up. There's something so rewarding about waking up to fresh vacuum marks! It's done really well around edges and transitioning onto rugs, too. However, the first time running it was like baby-proofing; lift up curtains that hang on the ground, remove rugs that don't have a non-slip backing from the hardwood, etc. This has by far been the best bang-for-you-buck vacuum I've purchased. Highly recommend!
I never know my floor is this dirty until I use it.
It can run up to 90 minutes after fully charged(In hyper mode only 40 minutes).
For my room, it can collect that much of dust after each run(shown in the picture).
One thing I really like about is you can use their app to control it from every where, even away from your home.
You can schedule cleaning base on day and time. For me I schedule it to run whenever I'm not at home. It's nearly hands free cleaning services.
Two things need to be aware of:
1)Stay away from a lot of cables
2)Do not use hyper mode unless it is necessary. Its battery won't last for a long time under hyper mode, and since it's basically patrolling randomly in your room, without enough time, it won't able to cover every corner.
I am extremely picky about everything and even more so about cleaning my house. I bought an iRoboto/Roomba when it first came out way back in 2002 and it was a piece of junk.
Well, we have come a long way, baby!
I had been hearing that the tech on these robovacs had improved since then and I saw one in action at a relative's house, so I decided to give the robovac thing another try. I bought and returned all of the highly rated robovacs, Roomba, Ecovacs, etc., and this machine was the best at just plain cleaning. Not only does it do a great job on bare floors but it's also astonishingly good on carpet (medium pile). Before this machine I was vacumming once a day or once every other day. Now I am vacuuming once or twice a month. I have a house and a very hairy border collie and this machine can handle both well. It's also very quiet compared to the other robovacs I tested.
All of this said, it has some flaws:
1. The battery doesn't last long. I haven't timed it but the machine doesn't last even an hour on one charge. I do not have a huge house so it cleans my house just fine in that time. If you have a larger house that may be a problem for you.
2. The machine never goes back to its charging base on its own (it's supposed to). It just goes under some sofa somewhere and dies and I have to grab it and put it on the charger.
3. It doesn't clean corners very well. I have to vacuum that crud up myself.
Other than those three flaws, I would say that this machine is well worth the price and one of the best purchases I have made on Amazon!
I've never owned a robotic vacuum before, but I love gadgets and we just moved into a new home so it seemed like it was time. I considered more expensive offerings from Roomba etc, but consumer reports and other sites rate this one as highly or higher than a lot of the more expensive ones so I thought I'd give it a go.
I'll start with first impressions and update as time goes on.
First Impressions:
The packaging was honestly really good and the materials that everything is made of were surprisingly good. Like I expected a lot more plastic and cheap parts, but it feels like they used really good materials, like glass on the top, good quality magnetic strips, etc. It looks good enough to leave docked out in the open (which the instructions recommend). Having never owned one from another brand, I can't compare, but I can't imagine they would be any nicer. It also comes with everything you need, and maybe even don't need, like batteries for the remote, sticky pads for the magnetic strips, zip ties to clean up cables, and a useful tool to clean gunk out of the brush if needed (more on that later).
Setup was really easy. Basically plug it in, put it on the dock, and connect it using the app. Same as other wifi connected things. I will say however that the app is no frills, and lacks some basic good UI features. Stuff like you can't set a schedule for multiple days at once, you have to set each day independently. I wouldn't take off too many points for this since I don't expect a lot of functionality out of it, and I don't really have to mess with it much so the UI stuff doesn't get in the way much. I have also had some challenges where the app will frequently say the vacuum isn't connected, even though I know it has plenty of battery and is near the router. It only supports 2.4 GHz, which is kind of a bummer since most of my devices use 5, so maybe that's the issue. It's not a huge pain since I mostly let it run automatically, but I guess if you were away from home and wanted to start it manually, you might have issues.
So far it seems to clean pretty well. I followed it around the whole first run and it did a pretty good job, although it doesn't necessarily seem to be the smartest thing I've ever seen. It doesn't follow much of a pattern, but it will sometimes follow a wall, and if it comes to a pillar or chair leg or something it will go all the way around before continuing. It might clean a small portion of one room before leaving to go clean somewhere else, so it may not complete a room in a single go (at least on automatic mode, there is a room mode). It makes me want to complain, but at the same time, it does seem to get everywhere eventually, so I can't say it misses things. It will leave zigzag lines on your carpet, but it surprisingly actually looks really clean and doesn't bother me.
The first few runs it cleaned up A TON of stuff. I had no idea our house was that dirty honestly. Like we had to empty it every time it ran, and I did have to pick a bunch of hair out of it, which is a little annoying. The tool that comes with it makes it way easier, and the brush pops out easily, so even though it's a chore, it makes it as easy as possible for you. After a few runs, it started to pick up less stuff, so I guess that's the point of having it run every day, right? It's weird, it sometimes doesn't feel like it's doing that much, but after a few days I came home and was really surprised at how clean it made the house feel. Like there's just something about carpets that look vacuumed that make the whole house feel cleaner. On that point, I'm blown away. For a lot less money than other options, I feel like our house is noticeably cleaner without much work on our end.
So for first impressions, I'm impressed. It's a solid vacuum that has done well for us so far. Just a few complaints, but it has definitely been worth it.
Answers to some questions I had before buying:
Will it scratch our hardwood floors? No, but it seems like if it ran over something that got stuck underneath it and drug it around, I guess that could.
How long does it last? We have mostly hard wood, but some carpet and area rugs. We've been getting about an hour out of it I think, though I haven't timed it. That part is a little disappointing. I would be very surprised if you got 100 minutes like they claim.
Does it get stuck easily? No... but it does get stuck if you don't take precautions. You'll have to pick up cords and other random crap you usually just leave on the floor. It's pretty powerful so it gets over most challenges, but we have had it get stuck on stuff we left lying around. Maybe cleaning that up is partially what makes it feel cleaner.
Can it find its way home? We have a 1 story house with long hallways, but it still seems to find its way into the far rooms and can find its way back. It takes a long time to return home since it slows down, but I can tell it has a strategy that seems to work for it.
Hopefully this helps. I would definitely recommend it so far, and will update after a few more weeks.
UPDATE 12/31/18
So we've had Eufy for a while now and I still think it was a great purchase. It's probably one of the dumber robot vacs, but it's still great in my opinion. It's basically just random, with a slight bit of method to the madness, but who cares if you're running it every day so it gets to every spot eventually anyway? It sometimes takes a while to get home, but so far for us it always gets home... unless it gets stuck. I think I said it above, but I'll say it again, you'll have to change some things to keep it from getting stuck. Leave stuff on the floor? Eufy might get stuck. Have a chair with an opening almost the same size as Eufy? If he gets in there, he might get stuck. That being said, we've gotten to the point where he really doesn't get stuck anymore since it's not hard to keep him out of those places, especially with the magnetic strip they give you.
I don't know what else to say about it honestly. It's a dumb robot vac, but it's so darn cheap and works pretty well. I would probably get 2 of these before buying a more expensive iRobot or other brand.

In my opinion, to deserve a 5 star review on Amazon, you not only need to have a product that is best in class, it needs to be fairly priced and have a great company behind it.
The RoboVac 30C is in fact a great product. It competes head to head with other top of the line vacuums that cost in the $500-800+ range. However, the 30C, while having great suction, does so in a quiet manner. This is important to us, as we have a new born baby that would not be able to sleep through other robot vacuums.
The thing I appreciate about eufy and this 30C is that they do not include other functions that do not add much to the utility of the vacuum (for example: laser mapping, mopping). While these functions map seem like they would add a lot of value, all they do is drive up the price and are poorly implemented. Eufy chooses to include functionally that people would use on a daily basis.
I have owned multiple eufy vacuums and the best thing I can stay about eufy as a company is that they have the best customer service. I would rank them about Amazon, Apple, and Google. My first product was a bit of a disappointment, but their team connected with me and made sure I was satisfied. They were relentless about making sure I would happy and I cannot tell you how much I appreciate that.
If you want a vacuum with voice control, look no farther. I recommend this purchase highly.
I love this vacuum. I have a roomba (880 before wifi version) but it is so loud I would only let it run when I was away. Even then my poor dog had to listen to it. Often I'd come home to it being stuck somewhere and battery dead. I wanted something quiet and with wifi capability. This vacuum is quiet enough to run while I'm watching TV. It hasn't gotten stuck yet but it's no big deal if it does if I am there. My house is mostly tile and (dark) hardwood with some area rugs. Had no problem connecting to wifi. I love how it works with Alexa. The only reason it doesn't get a 5 star is I'd like to see a pattern in vacuuming (my roomba didn't either). I'd also like to be able to make virtual walls in the app rather than have to use boundary strips. But again since I can run it when I'm home it's not a deal breaker, I can use the app or the remote to change its course. Sometimes my roomba ignored the virtual walls anyway. It is also good about sensing an object and turning before it hits it, occasionally it will very lightly tap something--my roomba bumped into everything. I have had no problems with it not finding its way back to the base. Overall, This is a very good vacuum for a good price.
This Review is for the Eufy BoostIQ RoboVac 30c Wi-Fi Upgraded, Super-Thin, 1500Pa Strong Suction. I have this robo, for three months now. I cannot tell you, how happy i am, when coming to my home, and see all my floors clean. I have noticed that many have problems with other robos with Dark Floors. Well mine is a Dark Walnut, and Eufy has no problem in cleaning my floors. If you look at my Picture, you will see my Dark Wood flooring is connected to my ceramic tile flooring in my kitchen. And Eufy, so thin, fits underneath my Island with ease. I love it, because as everyone knows, there is so much collection of dust and crumbs that goes underneath the Island and i cannot tell you how hard it is to clean underneath manually. Anyway, with Eufy, that problem is solved. I have Alexa, and its very Friendly with Eufy. Which it makes a pleasure having them both together. Unfortunately, I also have Deebot, and its not Alexa friendly, cannot figure out why. People, I STRONGLY recommend to get this Eufy RoboVac 30C. You will not be disappointed. Ohh, by the way, while being amazed by this RoboVac 30C, with a bit of research, I happen to find out that this machine is made by Anker. NO WONDER ITS A EXCELLENT PRODUCT... Will I get another?... OH YES, with my Eyes Closed. Anker makes Great Products.. And their Reputation is Excellent. With experience in their products, they do NOT make cheap stuff... Their products are long lasting and they have great material quality. I am so happy that i made a excellent decision and investment.
First, let me just say that we initially bought a Roomba. It was awful. The reviews said to give it time to learn a pattern. That wasn't the issue. The Roomba wouldn't pick up anything other than dust. We have hard wood floors and low-pile rugs. The Roomba would roll right over the particles and just knock them around (if it moved them at all)!
After trying the Roomba several times a day for a few days, we took it back and bought a Eufy BoostIQ Robovac 30c. There were MANY reviews on the Roomba that basically said it sucked and we should go buy a Eufy.
This beautiful machine did more in 10 minutes than the Roomba did in 3 days. Not only did it pick up things that the Roomba left behind, but it fit under our couch, loveseat, and entertainment center where the Roomba couldn't!
Eufy Robovac is better than iRobot Roomba in every way.
Eufy gets to the baseboards better and the corners get clean when Roomba's extended brush couldn't even reach the corners. It's so much quieter too! Roomba scared the crap out of everyone when it would start running. You can barely hear the Eufy unless the house is quiet or you are trying to hear it. Eufy has THREE suction settings. The stronger the suction, the more battery used. It doesn't fall off ledges. And oh, the dog hair...! We have a long-haired German Shepherd, a short-haired German Shepherd, a Golden Retriever, and a Lhasa Apso. I simply cannot express how amazing it is to have something that can keep this dog hair under control! It just packs the hair into the compartment and keeps going. It is what you would consider a "work-horse". Eufy comes with a remote that allows you to "drive" it. Lol This is the best remote control vehicle we've ever bought. And while it's not a necessity, the app is better than Roomba's app also.
I hope this review gave you the confidence to give this amazing robot a try!
I LOVE my Eufy. I have the 30C and I can say it's worth it to get the model with the app. It makes things much more user friendly. I also have a Roomba 960 and I ended up leaving the Roomba at the vacation house and keeping the Eufy workhorse for my home. The lower, sleek design allows the Eufy to get underneath low things without getting stuck very often. The bin appears to be the same size as the Roomba 960, but it holds a TON more. For some reason, this little thing goes and goes and fills up 3x the amount of dirt. Cleaning is a breeze. Super user friendly. The app is improving all the time, and it's really quite nice. I'd say that this is the ONLY place where the Roomba has a slight edge. Their app is more flashy, and it shows you where the unit has vacuumed, but in the big picture this is the only thing. I have to basically supervise the Roomba from getting stuck, full bin etc., while the Eufy is almost completely self-sufficient. Battery life is excellent. Really, the very best thing about the Eufy though, is the customer service. I mean, this is the BEST customer service I've seen in a long time. I had some issues in the beginning and they made absolutely certain that I ended up a satisfied customer. You will not be sorry if you choose this little cutie. It's a tiger. And I am NOTE being paid, nor am I connected with anyone at the company. Just being honest.
