I'm a solar fan, my house is solar and most of my outdoor lights are solar. I have decorative solar meteor lights but I like the look of these string lights and bought these when I saw them. It took a few days to install because of inclement weather but I had the solar panel exposed to sun for the days it took before I installed them. My only issue is that the switch is difficult to turn on properly. It takes several tries before it comes on. I set them up on a pool house and they look very nice at night. I made a slight miscalculation and will have to buy another string since I made the lights swag a little so instead of going all the way around the front the light doesn't quite make it. Of course another string would go around at least 2/3 of my pool house.
These lights don't give off a lot of light, but I wasn't expecting it to, not at 1w per bulb. These are sort of like the light you get from a bright night light.
Excellent solar lights! Purchased three units ($19.99 each - watch for the price drop if you’re bargain hunting!) for our garden/patio area and they are wonderful (even handled the first major rainstorm and are definitely weather proof). At first I thought the 1watt bulbs might not be bright enough but they provide a beautiful ambiance for dining (or drinking lol!) alfresco (the 2watt would have been too bright). Thanks to the folks at Brightech for such a well made product and customer service!
I ordered 2 sets of these lengths like 5 months ago, which covered perfectly fine my 10x14 pergola, I set them all around the top and installed the solar panels between the wood slabs on the corner, it fits like it was made for it, they go on and off with dawn/dusk automatically, they light up very nice, they don't provide much light, it's more like a accent to the pergola, so if you are looking for a set to actually lighten an area these are not for you, I love them because they really create an ambience with the soft lighting they provide. The bulbs are plastic not glass, so they have started to tint a little yellowish and seemed a little opaque due to the constant sun exposure, but despite this issue we still love them, I think it was a great purchase.
I just put two of them up my daughter said they look like stars and it is nice it's just bright enough to be able to see not as bright so don't expect too much but it is a nice comfortable warm type Candlelight bright but like Candlelight everywhere so I bought two more now I'm putting four strands up I have a 20 x 20 patio cover that's very big and it looks like for these will light it up nicely, update so I ended up buying three more for a total of 5 sets and it looks fantastic I'm very happy with them shipping was very fast
This strand fit perfectly around 3 sides of my grill gazebo - can’t wait until nightfall so I can see them lit! Night time photo added - they are bright! Highly recommend!

We read the package insert that says the bulbs come with a charge and should work right out of the box - and were worried because ours didn't! But one day of daylight and the lights came on! They are a good quality for the price, Love that the bulbs are a plastic rather than glass - more durable and less worry when transporting to an event. The bulbs are also a good size. Haven't tried them at our street event yet, and not sure they would necessarily give you enough light to read by, but they definitely provide a nice warm glow. Planning to use them on our patio for a less-glaring option than a porch light.
Ordered two sets. Very high quality lights. Thick rubber reinforced wiring. Plastic bulbs that are break resistant.
Attached these to my iron view fence with extra strength zip ties. The bulb sockets have holes to thread the zip ties through.
Had one set installed in about 15 minutes. Attached to the little solar panels ... and the next day both sets lit up perfectly.
Love the way these look. Remember, this is accent lighting. Not a source of light to read by.

We have the same brand (different style) on our pergola which we are very happy with and we wanted a section of our back fence to be illuminated. These lights work great and last a long time (still on at 5am, not as bright, yet still on). These are quality made and have heavier than expected wiring. Bottom line... Very satisfied and will buy other lighting from them as our needs evolve.
Very satisfied with these bulb sets - I ordered two strings to hang across my back porch, they've stood up to some serious wind lately with no cracks or breaks, just blazing away. I'm very happy that they stay lit for several hours, looking forward to ordering more to hang on the pergola for next summer.
