This thing runs a small pump that can get clogged for whatever reason. Simple fix: Use a 10ml medicine syringe that you can pick up for free at any local pharmacy (ask the pharmacist for one) fill it up with water, remove the water resivoir and place the syringe into the rubber hole that sucks up the water from the resivoir, turn the steamer on and while the trigger is pulled force water into the pump with the syringe. No need to go too fast so you don't damage the pump. It should take only 5 to 10 seconds to push it through. Voila! It's fixed!
I’d been struggling to peel the wallpaper off the walls in my son’s room. The recommended remover at the hardware store wasn’t cutting it and smelled awful. Instead of buying a wallpaper steamer I tried my conair and it worked great.
Why I recommend this product:
- lightweight
- heats up fast
- easy to refill
- ample cord length
I’m just wondering what other home projects this great gadget will help me with in the future. :)
I hate ironing, so steaming is a fast and easy way to give my clothes a polished look. This steamer is great it heats up quickly and puts out a steady stream of steam. I love that it has the option to use the trigger for quick jobs or the trigger lock for ones that will take longer. The attachments work well for adding seams to clothing.
It can also be used both vertically and horizontally, so I can refresh things like my bed, drapery and furniture periodically with steam.
My one complaint is that it doesn’t come with a stand, but since you control the steam using the trigger, you can put it down without worrying about damaging the surface.
I used this exact steamer at a place I stayed at on our vacation a couple weeks ago and loved it so I bought my own! We travel a lot PLUS I suck at using an iron! 🤣🙈 Anyways my daughter has a masquerade ball coming up and ordered her dress off Amazon and it was beautiful but looked like it's been in a bag for 5 yrs! So I tried this steamer out on it and it worked great! I didn't give it a high durability score ONLY because I don't know yet! Also on my pics I could have done a better job but I got littles yelling for me the whole time so I didn't spend much time on it! But still looks so much better!
I'm an everyday iron-er but was going on vacation where only a table size ironing board was available so I gave in and researched steamers to take. This Conair had great reviews and I couldn't agree more with them. What a great steamer, it did a perfect job all week long. Due to the nice size of the tank I was able to steam at least 4 pieces per tank. I also was impressed by the length of the cord and of course the results it produced.......wrinkle free and looking great! The steamer is larger than some may want in a travel steamer but for me the results and ease of use was worth the corner it took in my luggage.

Description
Conair extreme steam GS23 portable fabric steamer
I traveled to my sisters house in another state, and during the travel, all my clothes were severely wrinkled. I'm ashamed to admit, I don't know how to iron, BUT I'm a pro at using a steamer! I got my first one when I was a fresh teenager almost 18 years ago and have seen the advancement in steamer technology through those years.
This one by far beat all the other I've owned in the past! The heat up was super quick! The steam was incredibly hot, and because the heat source is so close to the water source and the head, you don't have any leaking issues. When your heat source is far from the head, true steam has time to cool back down and produce water drops. Those water drops get on your clothes and instead of steam, and instant drying, you have a soaked shirt.
It was a no brainier for me, after that day, I immediately went onto Amazon and ordered one! It was shipped to me quickly and was in pristine condition!
I previously used a steamer by a famous TV inventor. It leaked from the get-go, took quite a while to warm up/come back to steam, did not have a 'turn steam off' button, was large and not easy to use with my left (non-dominant) hand. It also didn't cover that much area per pass.
This Conair is the exact opposite. Heats up quickly, never leaks, big head so lots of area covered per pass, light, made for the hand so easy to use with both hands, you can shut the steam off if you need, and when you turn it back on, it returns to steam almost immediately.
Does a great job! I'm so glad I threw out the substandard 'famous inventor' one and got this Conair!
This is great if you forget something in the dryer and need it quickly. If you need a crease however, you still have to drag out the iron. I recently used it on new drapes. It did "ok", it's acceptable, but an iron would have done a better job. Also, I find it a bit heavy...I wouldn't want to travel with it, nor would I want to do several garmets at a time with it.
First off: Remember, you cannot replace an iron with a steamer. It just doesn't work that way.
Now. If you're looking for something to get the wrinkles or slight odors out of your clothes, this works really well. To be honest, any steamer works just as good. But I'm reviewing this one. So yes. I recommend it. It will never replace an iron, and you won't be able to press your collars cleanly...but if that's what you wanted, why are you looking at a steamer?
I'd recommend this for a steamer (I also got mine at a discount so...maybe that's why I'm satisfied)
This item should be in every household in America. I say that because my wife and I have owned this for 3 1/2 years now. It has survived multiple vacations, plane trips, drops on the floor, and every other beating we threw at it. Here are a few more details.
Durability: Like I said, our steamer has been dropped more than I would like to admit and looks the part. But it still runs like new and makes us look like super stars.
Safety: This thing DOES get hot and I’ve come close to burning myself a time or two. But if you read the warnings and don’t pull any stupid moves like myself, you will be safe.
Dependability: As I said above, this thing has travelled with us all over the world. I know cruise lines and airports don’t treat luggage as fragile property, but it has somehow survived all this time. And it always works like a charm and straightens our clothes when we need it.
Giftability: I made this word up, but it is GREAT for wedding gifts. We give this to all of our newly married friends because it is a gift that keeps on giving. My closet seems to be bursting full of wrinkled clothes and this fixes the problem within a minute.
