If anyone has kids, dogs, or a husband, you will know what I am talking about. My son drags in half of the soccer on his cleats, my dog mud mud and more mud, and my husband adds to the mess. I had an old door mat on my porch that needed replacing, so I bought the gorilla. This mat has really helped a ton. It collects a lot of dirt and grass and absorbs water well. The size is pretty standard, although if you are looking for something large I would measure first. The top part is soft yet coarse. Its comfortable for your bare feet but also rough enough to get dirt off when you rub them.
It cleans off easily too. My vacuums is really strong, so I just use my toe to hold the mat in place. For bigger messes, I just shake it outside or hose it down. It dries pretty quickly. You will enjoy this mat. I am going to buy another one for my front door.

This is a beautifully made mat--perfect size for my side door. The pattern/color choices make it look like part of the room, rather than just a "wipe your feet" addition. Heavy-weight rubber keeps it from slipping and curling. I deliberately waited 6 weeks before reviewing because so many times it takes a while to see whether a product lives up to the description. Great rug if you have an old dog. My old senile dog pees by the door on occasion. I got this rug for the rubber backing. It grips to the wood floor perfect and a breeze to hose off with garden hose, scrub up with detergent and a plastic scrub brush and let dry in the sun. Cleaned up real well and didn't fade or anything. I'm really pleased with this rug.
I got this for a step going from my garage into the house. I needed something that would trap the dirt and not slip on the step. This rug works perfectly and has not moved around at all. Very nice quality construction. Note: the first one I bought had a flaw in the weave, but had no problem returning it for a replacement and got the new one in just two days. Nice low-profile rug. Able to use on the carpet inside my garage entry door without it catching when the door opens. Ridge pattern works nicely for wiping off sticking wet grass and leaves that make it past the outside rug. Gets stepped on daily and no problems at all in the months I've had it.
We recently moved to WA state, and wanted these mats to protect our front and back entrances. I like the pattern on the mats, and although have not had total winter yet, think they will work fine. They do have a rubber smell when first put down, but that goes away in a couple of days. You might also need to train them flat to the floor at first since they come rolled up, but this is not hard to do, and after a few days lay very well on their own.
I am currently living in a FEMA RV because of Hurricane Harvey and FEMA decided to put the RV on the lowest part of my property where it gets really muddy. We have had a lot of rain and I was tired of cleaning the floors so bought this. The size is perfect. It did have a rubber odor so I put it outside for a couple days. What I like most is the mud and dampness seems to magically evaporate very quickly. And it vacuums up amazingly. When I get back into my house I will be purchasing this rug for all the entryways.
This mat will be used with our camper. It seems to be very strong and good quality. The inside is not too rough for your feet when your shoes are off, but still strong enough to wipe your shoes on.
