Mueller Onion Chopper Pro Vegetable Chopper - Strongest - NO MORE TEARS 30% Heavier Duty Multi Vegetable-Fruit-Cheese-Onion Chopper-Dicer-Kitchen Cutter

Every year my family makes a recipe for the holidays that requires 12 large onions chopped up. I'm the guy that usually does the chopping. My son had broken my onion goggles a few weeks ago by slamming them in the drawer so I was looking to order a new pair when I stumbled across this product. Wow! What a serendipitous discovery. This thing is amazing. I've attached a video to show you what it looks like in action and a picture to show you the finished results.

The only possible detraction from the product is that when you overload the feeder it tended to pull the blades out. Not an issue as you can see from the video because I simply cut the sections in three rather than 2.

Simply awesome.

I love this chopper. It definitely is sharp, but it has to be in order to cut through vegetables. It even cuts tomatoes. Someone mentioned putting the meaty part of the vegetable down and the peel up. That is great advice. Definitely don't touch the blades with your fingers! Don't let your kids play with this – – it is sharp enough to cut vegetables, so it will definitely cut little fingers. We found this out the hard way.

This is definitely a life saver! I really like onions but I usually can't see by the time I am done dicing them. In comes the Vidalia dicer to save my teary eyes. The plastic is not cheap looking or feeling, the parts are easy to clean and the dicer works well. Just place your vegetable and apply a bit of pressure and that's it. The photos say it all.

I have used this 3x and boy I did not expect what I did. I made a salad in record time. I had no problems cutting any of the following veggies. Occasionally on the broccoli and the carrots, the blade would come out of its socket but I was not expecting those cuts to be smooth plus I put in large pieces so I consider it user error but in either respects, I popped it back in and adjusted the size of veggies so that it could cut without hesitation.

Lettuce--no problem, I simply quartered a head of lettuce and fed it like nada.
Tomato--no problem
peppers--no problem
celery--cut it vertically and horizontally no problem
broccoli--this one gave me trouble at first, all I did was thin the top of the stalk and it sliced it way more effecitiently. I would also literally just plant the bottom of the stalk and then let the dicing continue....better than just laying it flat, actually press on it so that the blade already has a grip on it.
carrots--same thing as the broccoli, press on it so that the blade already has it in its grasps
onions--no problem
mushrooms--awesome to watch and do no problem

That's it folks, this is not a gimmick, it works. I don't know about longevity as I barely bought it a few weeks ago.

Well I just got it and immediately used it. It cut precooked sirloin medium rare steaks from sams club (by the way smiths sirloins tastes way better), celery, bell pepper, and onion. Added merlot wine, a bit of pot roast seasoning (mainly flour), garlic of course, salt and pepper, teryaki sauce, soy sauce. I honestly think i cooked it in like 15 minutes no more. Delicious. Absolutely loved the texture of the food although would be nice if they included one more larger hole cutter. This tool reduced my time by half and made everything MUCH easier and MUCH funner. Will see how the longevity is. I will change my review if not.

Description

Multi Vegetable Chopper Size: 10.5 x 4.3 x 4 inch

I made a vegetable soup. This chopper quickly small-diced my huge pile of veggies. Because carrots are tougher (without parboiling), I cut the carrots fairly thin prior to dicing so I would not need super-human strength to pull down the lever. All went well until after I had cleaned the chopper, and tried to reassemble it. I am mechanically challenged... After I re-inserted the dicing grid, and tried to secure the latch, the latch stuck, but my thumb proceeded to get severely diced. Eventually my thumb healed and I reevaluated the chopper, and discovered exactly how the latch had to fit. So you may wish to use a special glove to protect your thumb from slips, and I heartily recommend studying the product design carefully before use. Obviously, one must be very careful while using this product.

I hate leaving reviews but I must say that this cooking tool is amazing. The blades are sharp and cut my prep time down by more than half. I recommend cutting most vegetables in half before you use this. shockingly it even Cuts potatoes with ease. I personally use this mostly for pico de gallo or O'Brien's style hash browns. Their customer service is quick and friendly. I have and will continue to recommend this product to friends and family.

I use it regularly to chop many different kinds of vegetables, including onions, celery, mushrooms and carrots. Works well for apples too. I find that it is a terrific time saver. I was concerned that some reviewers said theirs broke soon after purchasing. Mine so far doesn’t seem at all prone to that. It seems like it is very well made. Whether this one is better than the other higher profile brand, I don’t know, but my buying instincts told me that this one probably was the best. I was also concerned it might be more trouble to wash it than it is worth in convenience, as some have said. Not the case for me. It admittedly can be slightly challenging getting all the food pieces out of the chopper parts, but the nylon bristle brush that comes with it makes it a relatively easy job. I have used my chopper almost daily for several weeks now. I am actually finding that I’m more eager to cook since getting this thing.

Very happy with this unit.

Customer service is very responsive too - I had improperly tried to installed the blade insert and wrote negative feedback - it was my fault entirely - not paying attention - but their customer service quickly reached out and offered to replace the unit (I kept the one I have).

This review is for Onion Chopper Pro Vegetable Chopper by Mueller item #B01HC7BNJA. I used it to cut up some potatoes. It is pretty loud, make sure your fruit/veggie fits inside the square, any excess will make it difficult to push the handle down. Be careful when you change blade, don't put your finger anywhere close to it, I tried to push the blade in (did not know that I have it put in the reversed way, and my finger touched the blade, and learn it the hard way). It is really sharp. It is great for chopping onion or potatoes. Easy to clean and give you 2 sizes of blade, nice chopper
