Cotton Craft - 100% Soft Premium Cotton Thermal Blanket - Twin White - Snuggle in These Super Soft Cozy Cotton Blankets - Perfect for Layering Any Bed - Provides Comfort and Warmth for Years

I purchased this blanket in Ivory in King Size back in October 2016 with the goal of having a large blanket on our queen size bed (my husband is a blanket hog thus the reason for purchasing a king size). This blanket is used in addition to flannel sheets (Amazon Pinzon brand), then this blanket then a handmade quilt on our bed and it keeps up quite warm, but not TOO warm during cold Wyoming winters.

The blanket does produce quite a bit of lint in the first few washes and dries in the dryers. So I would recommend washing and drying separate from any other clothing.

My husband works in the methane and oil fields here in Wyoming and comes home at the crack of dawn tired and filthy...he showers before crashing into bed but sometimes he is too tired to do a very good job so our sheets and blankets can get a little scuzzy.

As far as washing goes I treat this blanket and my ivory sheets as whites and wash twice. The first wash I wash on hot water with a scoop of powdered Gain laundry detergent, a cup of PineSol original cleaner (this cuts grease and body oils) and a scoop of OxiClean White Revive. On the second wash I use 1 scoop of Gain powdered detergent and a cup of Clorox bleach, again, washing on hot. This wash routine ensures we have clean white whites (or in this case Ivory) that are not dingy from my husband's hard working dirt. I wash my bedding every single week,

I have found no issues with the color fading while using Clorox chlorine bleach on this Ivory blanket and I have washed it once a week since October.

Very pleased with this purchase and have put this item on my Amazon "Items To Buy Again" list. I am thinking I would like to have at least one more of this same blanket on hand so that I can have one in the wash and one on the bed. I would also like to purchase these in Twin size for the kids bedrooms.

I ordered the king size in grey, I love it! I am very hot natured and it's hard for me to find something to sleep under that doesn't leave me burning up or freezing. I sleep with this blanket every night and it has been perfect. Great quality for the price! Definitely recommend, I will be buying a second soon to have around!

Ugh. I see so many negative review because this blanket creates a lot of lint in the dryer?! Oh gee. And tell me how that impacts the actual blanket? Exactly - NOT AT ALL.
Anywho - I purchased 3 gray twin size blankets to be used as a light weight comforter for our RV Camper this summer. Based on the pictures I was really optimistic and hopeful and I am glad all the good reviews were spot on. What a fabulous blanket this is. They are all true to size (I measured) and are nice and sturdy and heavy. I didn’t think I was going to get that much blanket and quality for my money. These will be perfect.
And yeah - I washed them right away so they can be put away and they did shed like crazy. I had to run my dryer 3 times to get these heavy things completely dryed as the Tag recommends to use the low dryer setting. Each time I turned my poor ole drye on again the trap was full of lint so that much is true. But it doesn’t change the fact that these are pure awesome blankets. LOVE

Yeears ago I bought an expensive all cotton Ralph Lauren blanket. It has held up well and I have been trying to find another one similar to it. I bought this based on the look of the weave and the description. It was the only all cotton blanket on Amazon that sounded like the one I was try to match. But I was sure because of the low price it would be thin and cheap and I would most likely return it. When it arrived the box did not seem to have much weight and when I opened the box the blanket was bundled tight in plastic and I assumed my doubts were right in and Imwould return it.
But upon opening it I was really surprised. I decided to keep it and wash it and see how it looked. After being washed and dried...I am really impressed and pleased with it. It did shed a lot of cotton lint (But for comparison I bought another blanket at the same time—all cotton but in a color not offered by this brand—almost 3 tines the cost—-and it shed link about the same). This one is a keeper and I may buy a few more as gifts. Where can you get a blanket for this price! I did buy the king to go on a queen sized bed as I expected some shrinking since it is all cotton. A very good buy. Great quality, great value!

I just received this cotton blanket today and I laid it out over top of my comforter on my king-size bed just to show you it's a true king. Tight stitching and nice seams. Im impressed so far. This is beige which comes off a little golden because of the lighting in my room and the accent colors. I haven't washed it or slept with it yet and will update as soon as I do. So far, it's bargain at $25.

I hesitated to buy this because of all the negative reviews, but after going to Macy's, Sears, and Walmart and feeling the quality of those in the store,
which were nearly and over $50 I gave this a try. Frankly these are much better quality than any in then in stores. They are more substancial, with a tighter weave and the hem is double stiched all the way around all 4 sides, on the fold and 1" around again. No other blankets I have seen had that..
One negative which all blankets have is that they smell, and need to be washed, after machine weaving they take on the smell of the manufacturing, although they are washed before packaging they are packaged in the same factory so need to be washed alone on gentle cycle, I recommend hanging up to dry outside, hung mine over our patio lanai railing, then dried for 20 min to unwrinkle and soften, and it looks great and did not shrink at all. I am now purchasing 5 more for all the other beds we have. In Hawaii we need cotton blankets, and I highly recommend them!

Bought this blanket in both gray and white after reading the reviews. A lot of the reviews referenced the amount of fluff that comes off when the blanket is dried. I thought, “how bad can it be?” I washed the white blanket according to the directions and put it in the dryer. About an hour later, I open the dryer door and I face a mountain of snow white fluff. As a resident of North Carolina, we don’t see much snow here and I saw a winter’s worth of snow that day coming off the blanket. Same thing happened with the gray blanket, but it was a pile of ash instead of snow! Now, is this a reason not to buy this blanket? No. It’s a great blanket. It’s warm without being too heavy. And, now that I’ve had them both a while and have washed and dried them several times, my dryer trap is less and less full of white or gray fluff each time they’re dried.

I just bought this for our new king bed. First thing I did upon receiving the package was washing it. I followed the washing instructions, and holy moly, sooooooo much lint lol. Other than that, so far so good. I live in south Florida, so I use it as my main blanket.

I prefer to sleep under some kind of blanket year-round; this lighter weight is just right for non-winter nights on the Texas high plains.

SIZE & SHRINKAGE:
I intentionally bought the king size for my queen bed; washed & dried first, to get shrinkage out of the way. It's big on my queen bed. I like it big, but it's not too big. For me, perfect size. (I did not measure for shrinkage; I simply assume that there was some cotton shrinkage after the initial wash/dry cycle. I never use textiles before washing at home.)

THICKNESS:
When I first looked upon it in the open box, I thought it was too thin, like a flannel shirt, because it was resting in a rather small shape for a king-sized blanket. But after washing, the thickness was nice and substantial, perhaps the thickness of three layers of flannel; thinner than terry cloth towel.

TEXTURE:
The weave is tighter than waffle or cable loop blankets; think of a heavy kitchen towel or perhaps a matelassé bedspread.

SHEDDING & LINT:
Some reviewers complained about shedding & dryer lint in the washer & dryer:
- My newer front-loading washing machine handled it with no issues. Period.
- I paused my dryer after about 20 minutes to check the lint filter. It was nearly full of very fine white lint. Then I ran the dryer another 20 minutes to completely dry; the lint filter was similar, perhaps a bit less.
- Folks, at this price point you must expect, and live with, the characteristics of short-staple (short fiber) cotton. Short-staple cotton is going to yield more lint than expensive long-staple Egyptian or Pima cotton.
I'm glad other reviewers pointed out the need to check the dryer lint filter, but complaining about lint is at the limit of reasonable expectations.

MINOR BELLYACHE:
The diagonal pattern of the herringbone weave pattern is visually disconcerting when attempting to straighten the blanket on the bed. This is not a problem in the dark, however. :-)

So it was slow getting to know this blanket. I washed it first and noticed stuff floating in the water. I scooped it out (I have a top loader) with my hand and discovered it was lint! I got a mesh strainer and started scooping out TONS of lint! I took a pic because it was a ridiculous amount and it looked like mashed potatoes! I'll try to upload it. I kept scooping because I was afraid all this lint would start a fire in my dryer. I kept scooping and scooping. Wow! After washing and drying this blanket is lovely and soft, very nice and cozy. I suggest washing it alone and when you dry it, check the lint trap frequently but you will really like it. I wanted an all cotton blanket for the warmth, breathability and heft. All the polyester blankets despite having no weight make me sweat. This blanket is awesome. You won't regret it. I've only washed it once so far but I will wash it seperately until it stops shedding. I bought the king size for my queen bed knowing cotton shrinks but there wasn't much shrinkage.
