I'm currently recovering from an extensive ankle injury... 7 screws, plates, torn tendons etc.
Having been weening myself off/out of my walking cast over the last couple of weeks, I am in need of an stability aid when wearing normal shoes.
So far, this has been outstanding. It's tight enough to stay secure and provide the necessary stability, while thin enough to wear with dress shoes. The quality is outstanding.

Update. Since my first review, I've worn these EVERY day. In fact, I can count 3 times walking without them. Even after repeated washing, and use during all types of exercise (hiking, cycling walking) I can say with confidence they work. Worth nothing, I'm using the same original two in rotation all the time.
This sleeve is not like other sleeves. I should know. I’ve gone through most of them. I have flat feet and a sub taler joint fusion (with a side of occasional planter fasciitis) - which basically means I’ve got swelling and pain. Other sleeves were either too constricting or too loose or not in the right location. There are many bones in the foot and many Different problems. THIS sleeve is like a second skin. It’s multi directional compression means that it works everywhere on the foot, the same all the time. It has medium to strong compression which is great for injuries. It is comfortable enough to wear to prevent injuries when playing sports (or just walking around like I get mine). The KEY is to measure it properly first. Go order a flexible tape measure- They are cheap. The correct fit on these sleeves will be priceless. If it fits, it works! If you got one that doesn’t fit, don’t give up, just get a better size for you because this one is a dream come true! I already ordered more. Because I will always have a bad ankle, but won’t always have this sleeve available. (It also works underneath splints- which helped me a lot at initial injury- when splints alone aren’t enough). Put your regular sock over it and put your shoe on. It’s thin enough to not cause issues or discomfort. Whoever took the time to make these properly gets my vote for the Nobel pain free prize!
I am 69 years old with a drop foot and circulation issue caused by years of athletic injuries that were not iced. My ankle pain is frequently unbearable. Rolled my ankle a few weeks ago and it kept getting stiff and mildly swollen at work. Thought some type of compression would be helpful and could use while exercising. I have a men's US 13M foot. I measured into a XL. It definitely has some stretch. It worked well and was very comfortable. I felt like a L may give more compression (medical grade) so I also ordered a set of L. It is tight but for active sports or if I re-injure it , I would use the Large one. For everyday use at work I just slap on the XL. Great product. If you want one for everyday use and comfort I would go with measurement as indicated, if you want something tighter and gives more medical grade compression , consider downsizing.

I'm 65 and walk 4+ miles a day. I've had recurring pain in my Achilles tendons, especially the left. I've tried various compression sleeves but the PowerLix have worked best for me. Yes, I am sadly afflicted with the dreaded cankles. Not your average cankles but scar tissued, multiple fractures, tendonitis, surgery ridden, double sized cankles. Great ankle brace. I've tried a lot since I run and get ankle injuries frequently and this one works the best for everyday use. It gives great support, is easy on and off and is comfortable to wear.
