In all honesty, I had low expectations initially, but I am a fan! This little guy is just what I needed for travel. I've had one too many incidents with ancient hotel irons that spit out black and brown rust when ironing. The last time was on a pair of white shorts.

It has enough features to knock wrinkles out of my clothes yet it is light weight/portable. I've included a couple of before and after shots of a couple of things I ironed. The starry cloth is a pair of pajama shorts so they are a thin material. The olive green is a heavier trenchcoat like jacket.

It's small size does not make it ideal for knocking out alot of clothes, so don't look for it to replace your standard size iron, but it is great for its intended purpose!

I use this is my small sewing/quilting area and love it. I don’t have a lot of space and mainly just press seams for small projects or quilt blocks. This is the perfect alternative to a large iron. Have been using it for a couple of months with no issues!

This was just what I needed. I live off the grid and reply on solar power for electric. A traditional iron uses 1200-1800wattsto heat. This is only 400
I needed a small simple iron to take wrinkles out of dress clothing for work. Not sure how it would work on heavy denim or thick materials but on a cotton blouse or dress slacks it was perfect

The on/off dial is recessed and can be tricky to use. There is a groove in the middle for a finger nail, or in my case a penny. The penny actually stays in place and becomes my new switch "nob". The iron heats up very fast and does get very hot. I am using this iron on a side table beside my sewing machine (I really appreciate the nice long cord) for fast easy ironing open seams with my quilt piecing. But it is all going into the handy drawstring bag and going on my trip in 2 weeks.

Have not really used it much yet except to test it and .....its GREAT.long cord
Heats up fast ....does not leak....
The voatage switch is hard to use so pre set it

Description

PurSteam PS-800 Travel Steam Iron

I needed a small iron to use right next to my sewing machine. It works perfect. My quilting addiction will continue. Is there a salve for that? ;)

This is a great iron if you sew. This iron is the perfect size to iron seams to get the crisp professional finish of hand made items. It's easy to hold a seam flat with my thumb and pointer and use the other hand to iron. I don't have to worry about burning my fingers with a fat iron or my arm with a long iron. I am also happy with the amount of steam. I'm used to high powered professional steam irons with a button. I tried using the rubber cover for the water reservoir, that didn't work all that well. But I found it I pick up the iron a tiny bit, but leave it flat a nice burst of steam will come out.
I had a tiny issue with my iron. I contacted the company directly. They resolved my issue quickly and made sure I was satisfied. Great customer service.

I purchased this small iron to keep beside my sewing machine for pressing quilt blocks. I had been using a "finger" press tool that took way more time than to just swivel around and quickly press the seams. It does a good job of removing wrinkles from washed fabric...so far I love it!

I tested this travel steam iron on my 100% polyester jacket while it hung. The iron was on the lowest wattage. Here are some photos and video of my first time using it! I will continue to test it, but I am quite satisfied and impressed with it. It looks like I may be taking it overseas with me so far. :)

Customer service is wonderful and it is so cute! This would make a wonderful Christmas present or birthday gift. Also good for college kids who don't have room to store big items. Great for touching up collars, sleeves and hems before a job interview. A very unique but practical gift for male/female.
