I installed these on my boat and liked them so much I ordered a second. Watch some YouTube videos if you need to cut and solder. It does take some diy skills and tools. These are bright enough for my application, but there are brighter leds strips available. You will need a power source like a 12v battery or 110v AC to 12v DC adapter. All of the leds lit up and are beautiful. I cleaned the surface multiple times with alcohol. The adhesive might fail but the 3M VHB 1/4” tape will fix this if needed.
Worked great just what they wanted, bright too.
My son asked to be a fire fighter for Halloween, so naturally he needed a fire truck.
So what do you need to okay about these, well they are linkable, just cut in the designated spots. If you can solder then it's a simple positive and negative connection. Included are 2 quick clip connecters that were easy to use. The roll itself has pos and neg wire leads already attached to 1 end, and the other is prewired to a standard wire connection.
I bought these to increase my bike's visibility since cars tend to have a hard time seeing me riding. I applied strips on the rear and sides of the bike and ran the wires back to the saddle bag. So far, the adhesive backing is working flawlessly (supported with electrical tape at the ends) despite riding in rainy and wet conditions consistently. The lights are so bright that I constantly get stares from motorists and pedestrians at traffic lights, I assume it's because they are admiring and not laughing at my lights.

Amazing. We are using these for a costume they are SO bright and the backing is super sticky. We reinforced with glue but even without the glue these stuck on great. And they have a clear rubber around them so they are waterproof

It only took me about 10-15 minutes to install the LED strip underneath the small step between our kitchen and family room. In a recent renovation, we removed a wall and chose not to raise the floor in the adjoining family room.
So we had to deal with how to draw attention to the 12-foot wide step-down that could easily cause someone to fall if they didn't see it.
My father-in-law suggested putting a light strip beneath the step. I went online and found this cuttable, self-adhesive strip light. Problem solved! And it looks great!
Cutting it into pieces was easy but soldering the smaller connections proved a tad annoying. Worked great attached to a sprinkler timer and 12V battery though. Much brighter than I expected.
I use these LEDs as evening supplement to my grow box. They work perfectly absolutely as described. 2 things, 1, read the description because it doesn't come with a plug-in! 2, for the love of God don't take the sticky tape off until you know exactly where you want to put them. I've had to rip and reseal and pull and drag they've taken a beaten there's damage to the cord the plastics been cut AND THEY STILL WORK PERFECTLY! GREAT PRODUCT
