I bought 4 of these shelf brackets. They are nice, thick gauge steel, and are all exactly the same. That's important for mounting and having a shelf that is flat and even.
The only reason I took off 1 star, is they come with a clearcoat finish that I assume came on the steel prior to bending, because it is cracked in the bends. It is well adhered to the metal though, so it makes it very hard to get the finish off to get a good paint finish on it. You essentially have to grind them down to fresh metal first. So it just made it a more time consuming project. Still, I will buy more of these in the future when my wife makes me build more shelves.
Just put up my set of brackets. Custom size was perfect. We contacted the seller because we weren’t sure if we should order the bracket the exact size of our shelf or give some leeway for the bracket. They responded rite away and stated to order the shelf’s exact size . The fit is perfect. The look is what I was looking for. The custom sizing and shipping cost ended being more than initially expected, but I think it’s still worth the money.
Wanted to build display shelves that could hold the weight of a bunch of bottles and these brackets are way more than strong enough. feels like screw ripping out of stud will be issue before brackets bend. I moved bottles around so you could see brackets but usually they hide very easily. Wife likes the rustic raw metal look
The shelf brackets are perfect! Heavy, symmetrical, no burrs on edges. Exactly what I was looking for. Awesome value! Will buy again, for sure.
Still working on the final project because we plan to stain the wood. I ordered the 10 inch width. I wish I would’ve ordered 11.5 inch because even though Lowe’s advertises 2x10x10 it actually is 2x9.5x10. I don’t like the half inch gap at all. I wish i would’ve ordered an inch bigger regardless just for my books anyway. They are very sturdy & beautiful regardless.

Excellently made brackets!! Love them and they are at a great price. We ordered the size for the boards we have, which ended up being a bit snug so we did have to cut down our boards just a bit. The snug fit is the only reason for the 4 stars.
Strong, quality pieces of steel. However mine were a bit rusted on delivery. Not a huge deal as I painted them, but something to consider.
For a custom item they arrived very quickly. They are made well and seem very sturdy, we cant wait to put them to use! The brackets were made to the specifications we requested which is awesome. The package they arrived in was substantial and you can tell the manufacturer wanted to make sure the product arrived in good condition. They are bare metal, so make sure you have your paint ready!
We purchased two brackets to secure an old barn beam as our fireplace mantle. The beam was hand hewn so very irregular in size. We very much appreciated the prompt service of our custom order.
