I’ve tried a good amount of different protein brands/flavors/types. Optimum Nutrition used to be my go-to for a couple years, but they kept having the lawsuits where they’d be found time and time again falsely advertising how much protein they actually put in their blend.

Rightfully fed up with them, I started shopping around. I’ve tried ISO100, NitroTech, Cellucor, RedLine, and even cheap bargain BOGO stuff from SuppHunt. I finally found a good deal on the MusclePharm Combat cookies and cream protein.

First time I had it, I genuinely thought there was nothing like it. It’s taste was so good, I thought it had to be unhealthy. It kind of reminds me of the taste of an Oreo McFlurry from McDonalds. Nothing healthy on the market like this stuff.

The cool part is the five different types of protein in each serving make it good for those of us that like or want to have our post workout intake and pre-bed intake be from the same stuff. It felt good for muscle recovery, and seemed to work very well as a protein source.

Snag it while you can. This stuff has completely replaced other brands. Flavor for Cookies and cream has to be 9.5/10. The only flavor from muscle pharm I don’t care for is chocolate milk. Peanut butter cup is also pretty decent.

I bought this hoping it would help git dem gainz, as they say. I'm still weak but the taste is great. It's probably not the Gain Dust's fault - I probably just need to work harder. The thing about reviewing this that's tough though (like, mentally - not in a physical kind of way), is that I don't really have a good way to verify the contents. I mean, I'm not like going to open up a chemistry lab and check the ratios of the protein types, or measure the rate at which the stuff is metabolized in some surrogate material. So, I'm left with two things I can actually review: (1) taste, and (b) mixability. It tastes great and mixes in well when I use it with a mixer bottle. I suppose I'll just trust that it contains what they say it does.

I didn't actually like the cookies and cream taste because it was a bit too sweet, but I kind of got used to it by the end, so this chocolate flavor is awesome. (Probably would have been too sweet as well if I hadn't gotten used to the cookies and cream first.) Works well, tastes good, also helps with the soreness in conjunction with the amino's I take. I like to use it post workout before bed, because it actually fills you up quite a bit if you take it during the day, and I need to eat a lot of calories to bulk. Would probably be good during the day for people who need to limit their calories. All in all, will probably keep using this, might try the peanut butter chocolate flavor.

This is the best tasting protein powder I have ever tried. I bought the chocolate milk flavor and put it in the fridge to cool a bit before drinking. It’s absolutely delicious. I also like that this is a protein blend and sometimes drink this before going to work. I truly believe this has made a big impact on how hungry I am after work and as a result, my ability to make wise food choices when I get home.

I've been taking some form of protein powder for over a decade. Recently, I've looked for an all-in-one powder that I can take after workouts as well as before bed or throughout the day if I get hungry or need a quick meal replacement. This is as opposed to taking whey after a workout, and casein before bed; I just got tired of buying multiple tubs of protein powder. This product fit the bill nicely. I look for 4 things when picking out a protein powder:

1. Nutrient profile: This has 25 grams of protein, and includes a mix of whey and casein, which is what I was taking before in two separate products. It also has 5 grams of carbs, which is fairly low (I'll buy anything with single-digit carbs, but the lower the better).

2. Flavor: Tastes good. I usually get protein in either chocolate or vanilla, and I got the chocolate Combat Powder. It doesn't have any weird aftertaste or grainy flavor, which is a problem sometimes. I usually mix it with water, and tastes about as good as protein mixed in water can taste. I'll occasionally mix it with milk, which tastes even better.

3. Mixability: Mixes well in water or milk in my shaker bottle, with no clumps. A little bit sticks to the side, which is normal.

4. Price: Price was pretty good. Under $40 for over 50 servings of quality protein is a good deal. It's not the cheapest protein powder, but is among the best-priced protein for what you get.

I usually mix my protein shakes with almond milk instead of water, but the taste of this powder is actually quite good. Now I know, most protein powders are chalky, gritty and sometimes hard to swallow, but this one mixes well with water and tastes great. I have never tried this brand before, but it doesn't make me feel bloated and doesn't upset my stomach.

Everyone says too sweet, and doesn’t dissolve, and it wont dissolve blah blah blah. I bet u these mofos never had protein before or they where used to drinking baby formula. Idk what they were expecting but this protein is like any other.

Use a shake bottle and dissolving problem fixed. It’s great , I take a serving and I get to take really healthy bowel movements because of the digestive enzymes and I don’t have stinky protein farts.

Tastes waaay better than this vegan pea-protein option I was on before and I drink it warm on those cold winter nights after I surf and tastes like medicinal hot cocoa. Omagh I love it.

Great price, tastes like protein, dissolves like protein, omagh buy it.

I love everything about Muscle Pharm products especially their protein powder which packs the essential nutrients for athletes at an affordable price. Unfortunately, this protein powder is too DAMN sweet! I have read reviews regarding this matter but I wanted to try it out for myself because everybody is different.

Solution: I would recommend purchasing BSN Syntha 6 in the flavor that you like such as Banana and mixing a half scoop of each. This actually tastes pretty good and helped me save a bit of $$. Cheers!

First of all, I'm not sure of the people who were giving this a one star rating. This stuff rocks. I think the bad experiences were either user error or just a bad jar of the stuff. I've had amazing results with this as extra protein for bulking during my workout routine. The powder mixes just fine in a blender bottle, but like all protein powders it takes a minute to fully dissolve. If you mix it in milk and let it sit for a few minutes in the fridge for example, there are literally no lumps at all. So, not sure where that bad review is coming from. Also this is clearly NOT a fake protein. It's 100% awesome and works, tastes great, and that's why it's getting my 5 stars.

I am an older guy who was not getting enough protein in my diet per doc's required 50 grams per day so I do one scoop for breakfast each morning. I use milk chocolate in both 2% milk or water. Water a bit week but ok. If I have a mid-day snack I use water and half scoop. Both options have made me feel full and helped me cut back on the junk food I normally ate. The 5lb jug is a bit large/difficult to store versus the 2.5lb but I am cheap so continue to buy it.
